Klahomas perspective: -"its all about ascention i guess dont put me to rest" The narrator doesbt feel like klahoma is meabt for parties and would be taken advantage of. The song is about two freinds or possibly more with one feeling like they need to take care of the other to their own exhaustion and the other trying to become more popular but cant because they are to socislly anxious for parties.
I’d be so happy if you talked about “Getting my mom on” cuz like it’s just so innocent and fun with zero dark metaphors it’s just about Jack being a mom with tons of mom stereotypes
I think Ballad of Hamantha is about disability. The struggles that come with it. Something that's not talked about a lot but is definitely something that comes with being physically disabled: malpractice with a corpse. Many physically disabled people's bodies have been illegally preformed on due to their disability. I think that's what the "doctor taking a bite of her" means (yes I know this part was made before the rest of the song, but with the context of the song it makes sense). There's many physically deformed skeletons that have been called "aliens" or "monsters". I think that's why Jack stuaber chose something as silly as a ham- to reflect on the strangeness abled body/mind people see in disabled people. It's also how disabled people, especially after they've passed, are glorified. Stories of how disabled people took their own lives or were brutally murdered due to discrimination- you'll have people commenting about how "strong they must've been" I'm autistic. While I think this song mostly fits physical disabilities, it has ways of fitting mental disabilities. This song hits hard for me because of that. So, I thought I'd share my perspective Thanks for reading my insane ramblings.
The pumpkin one seemed like a representation of how strange things can seem nice and friendly at first but can turn on you so fast that you can’t see it hurting you

@@GarfeildLover69 It'll probably be awhile, I have a few other videos I'm working on first. But I intend to do Opal, in my eyes covering Mr. Stauber would be very incomplete without talking about his Magnum Opus
It's funny, we have nearly exact opposite interpretations of Oh Klahoma. I always saw it as a more supportive song, the lines about clothes and pictures being more metaphorical and about being vulnerable with each other. It opens with one friend expressing bad feelings with the set phasers to rot, then the other asking what's wrong, the bit at the beginning about "negative attention" and "call it norhing" was about the one person downplaying their own feelings, while the other tries to validate and support them telling them "Maybe it's something" essentially telling them that like, hey, maybe you *are* going through some shit, tell me about it. With the friend finally breaking and saying "It's all about ascension" (meaning death, potentially feeling suicidal). The chorus shows supportive friend encouraging them to talk about their feeling to which they respond "don't get me started", we further see supportive friend trying to be validating by telling them about the grey hairs, essentially saying their fears are valid and *are* scary, and that they see and hear them, and they can't be the only one. Other people understand what depressed friend is going through, they aren't alone. The "Those aren't meant to bend" back and forth is the supportive friend essentially pointing out directly "Things shouldn't be this way for you, you deserve better. You arent supposed to be in this much pain" and depressed friend repeating it back, taking in what supportive friend is saying, and the song ends on a hopeful note, with depressed friend finally sharing their fears. After saying "Don't get me started" again, they let go and share "I might die", they're scared they may actually hurt themself, and we see that supportive friend has at least managed to get through to them enough that they're willing to share openly and potentially get help. I will say, I do agree that the takeaway is ultimately "Get therapy"
All in all, I really like seeing the different ways people can interpret the same piece of art, Oh Klahoma is a very meaningful song to me too, so I have a lot of thoughts on it.

For some reason, when I saw you standing squarely in front of the pumpkin talking about smashing it, I fully expected you to jump on top of it and squish it Goomba style
26:24 when I heard that line, I understood it as one bending rules. When they said "those weren't meant to bend," they meant that they had boundaries set that shouldn't have been tested.
Someone's probably said it already (hell I've probably said it already while drunk) but the combination of your voice, your calm personality and your impressive hairdo gives me the overall vibe of 'Ash Williams from The Evil Dead but he's taken a decidedly more lax approach to the horror he's faced with' and I mean that in the best way possible. Your approach to scary stuff is positively groovy.
Bro seriously I just found you through the algorithm and your humor, editing, pretty much all about your videos are amazing and I love all about them. Thank you so much for letting us into the wonderful terrifying world of jack stauber! Keep up the good work

Loving your content as a whole, and I wanted to make a suggestion for an artist that would be pretty nice to see covered, their name is GHOST and they make vocaloid songs. These are some of my favourites: Hyperdontia, Novacaine, Honey I'm home, The distortionist, Spider on the wall(Newer version) All of these songs are slightly disturbing, not in the way Jack's works are, but it is there in the most subtle way that you don't really notice until you realise what the lyrics are actually saying, except for Novacaine, it is just full force in your face showing you the distrubing elements on a silver platter.
I saw every single episode of moral Orel plus beforel Orel because I saw your video on it. It was a beautifully written show with a great soundtrack. Please make more videos on it! Also at 18:33 it was hilarious when it just cut to you in a cowboy hat, I burst out laughing when I saw that.
I love this little series so much! Jack stauber meant a lot to me when I was younger and helped me when I was going through hard times. I feel like after watching his content after a few years helped me mature and look at the world a lot differently. I loved hearing other peoples perspectives of his work :) Thanks Daniel!

They are an absolutely amazing indie band I think you'd really enjoy and also I would love to hear your takes on the meanings of thair songs! ^^)
Shattered molars hits extra hard for me because of my constant intrusive thoughts. Also went to the hospital a month ago because a manic episode (one of which I have apparently been experiencing for years) got really bad, so the emotional disassociation and jumbled screaming mimic a manic episode so well I can barely watch it if I’m not in the optimal mood. Highly recommend (also good vid)
That song and video at the end was so uncanny, if I just heard that song without the music video (and therefore seeing jack not acting it out) I would have sworn jack wrote it, you emulated his style so well. Do you think you would go into the meanings and explanations of songs by the artist “Ghost and Pals”? Specifically their “Housewife Radio” song and video?
9:19 talves represente tanto o fato dela estar mentindo para si mesma sobre o que esta acontecendo, quanto o fato dela querer acreditar que não é nada de mais .
Your song/video emulating his style was so so good!!!! You did an awesome job channeling his "singing in cursive" style and creating a song that i would 100% think was written by him. Super fun video, thank you for making it!!

@@danielprofeta I appreciate you asking! I've loved making UA-cam videos as a hobby since I was a kid, and would like to do it more. So when I created this account I wanted people to get at the very least the quality equivalency of 8 Cents worth of Jello, but hopefully more!
When you talked about disturbing dreams in the intro, or dreams that stick with you it literally made me remember all the dreams that have had things that stuck with me, thanks for that. 👍
1st of all: Your explaining Jack Stauber videos are the best I have seen 2nd: My favorite Jack Stauber song is 4.99 I would be really happy if you covered it!
When I first ran across Jack Stauber's work, I thought he was someone in his 40s. That he was in his early 20s at the time. Blew me away. This creature, this Jack, has unearthly talent and wisdom for one so young. Mind blown. I hope he's around to amazes us for years to come.
Yet another great video! I wanted to touch a little bit on "now and then". I've heard one theory I agree with saying that it's about the phrase "new year, new me", since the video was uploaded on new years eve. The theory states that the corpse (referred to once as "then" in the video) and the living character (presumably known as "now" due to the title) are the same character, and that Then is filled with aspects and experiences from that year, and Now is taking a few things with him that he wants to bring with him into the new year. He also remarks that the clock he's taking with him "didn't work very well", so maybe he's planning on getting it fixed, maybe to have better time management or keeping his sleep schedule on track. I also love Jack's representation of anxiety, a mass of nothing that fills your whole chest, or at least some of it.
me and my small friend group of three refer to 'ben' as benny worm because of this song, he is very small for our age and takes time to listen to us. a true worm pal :)
Wow this is really great! Thank you for another video about Jack, it's always interesting and I love seeing how you see this videos and songs as well. If you do another video would you mind going over Dinner? It's been one of my favorite songs as of late, and I relate to it a lot. Anyways, thank you again for the amazing video. It's obvious you put a lot of effort into it :)
Dinner was originally in this script along with like four other tracks, but I ended up cutting it so I could finish the video on time. Maybe in part three:)
another one of these! tysm! i love your interpretation of these, its def fun to see what other people think about his amazing songs! if i could suggest something, id say "lima bean man" and "will" both are kinda disturbing, id love to see your perspective on it :)! for a song, I think "cupid" would be nice, as im pretty sure it describes a relationship breakup, and how you feel numb and absolutely abandoned afterwards. Thanks again man!
Dear God it took forever to find you bro. I was beginning to think that this video was just an illusion in my head but the algorithm decided to play nice

For some reason, when I saw you standing squarely in front of the pumpkin talking about smashing it, I fully expected you to jump on top of it and squish it Goomba style
The way you nailed Jack’s style is genuinely uncanny. Keep up the good work, you just earned a sub.
Welcome aboard!
@@danielprofeta :D
your mini film was amazing. it is clear you are inspired by Jack and I believe he would love that.
Bruh ilysm I’ve only known your channel for a week but for some reason it’s already my favorite channel ever, keep up the good work Daniel! :)
Dude the end literally was as good as a jack stauber song
the line "today i forgot to keep myself alive" gives me goosebumps
Bro seriously I just found you through the algorithm and your humor, editing, pretty much all about your videos are amazing and I love all about them. Thank you so much for letting us into the wonderful terrifying world of jack stauber! Keep up the good work
Thank you for watching my friend, we are legion.
The video was fantastic man!! I specially love 'Now and then' because i always feel there is more to unpack. Like the way the bodie had had his chest already opened, implying that he took the heart and other things fron yet another past self
I literally went “YES” when I read the words “The Ballad of Hamantha” because I hoped the whole video that you would talk about it. This song literally made me sadder than any other Jack Stauber song ever
10:33 YAY SODDIKEN! i absolutely love your videos on Jack and soddiken is one of my favorite artists ever! i’m so excited to see you cover them!
I don't remember if you covered it or not, but I'd love it if you talked about "Dinner is not over", the song helped me so much and honestly might be one of my favorites
That will probably be in part 3
7:27 Bumble bees are out has made me cry multiple times at night because I couldn’t forget the song.
Thank you for blessing us (this video is boutta blow up)
My pleasure, welcome back!!
I just wanted to say, your statement at 18:00 hit home and has made at least one person feel seen. Thank you for the lovely video and kind words ❤
I’m still new to the channel but I have returned for pt two and so far you have not disappointed! Love your comedy 🦦🥤
Welcome back, more to come. I just finished scripting a video on that new experimental horror movie Skinamarink, it'll be next.
@@danielprofeta woop woop! The way you dig so deeply into things is dope and your ideas are some fun to grapple with. It’s hard to put this in a way that make sense but it’s like brain exercise😅
This is by far my all time favorite vid of yours so far! Especially that tribute at the end!💖💖💖👍👍👍
27:44 bro literally jack staubered
I’m literally so excited for you to do Sodikken. They have been my favorite musician for a while now.
Just found your channel and I really enjoyed these two videos on Jack. Can't wait for the third video! 👍
Shop! A pop opera is one of my favorites, the expired milk song stays in my head
i'm absolutely hyped about you making a video on Sodiken!!!
Loving your content as a whole, and I wanted to make a suggestion for an artist that would be pretty nice to see covered, their name is GHOST and they make vocaloid songs.
These are some of my favourites:
Hyperdontia, Novacaine, Honey I'm home, The distortionist, Spider on the wall(Newer version)
All of these songs are slightly disturbing, not in the way Jack's works are, but it is there in the most subtle way that you don't really notice until you realise what the lyrics are actually saying, except for Novacaine, it is just full force in your face showing you the distrubing elements on a silver platter.
I just came for the part 1 and i can say that your content is awesome :)
Aw hell yeah, if I can introduce one new person to the stuff I talk about I generally consider it a successful video
I love this little series so much! Jack stauber meant a lot to me when I was younger and helped me when I was going through hard times. I feel like after watching his content after a few years helped me mature and look at the world a lot differently. I loved hearing other peoples perspectives of his work :) Thanks Daniel!
The entire video was amazing, especially the ending! The editing was great and I think you totally captured Jack’s style. Keep up the good work
Glad you enjoyed it my friend, thanks for watching:)
you have a sense of humor that reminds me a lot of many popular commentary youtubers. and tbh I'm into it! ur def worthy of a subscribe
I am incredibly derivative so that makes sense haha:)
Welcome to the channel, hope to see you around. Stay safe, stay sane.
Hearing you talk about the artist Sodikken would be lovely! I love their work and yours. Hearing your opinions and interpretations would make my week!!
I greatly appreciate the support, I do have a video on Sodikken in the works:)
Yo that end song was incredible!
Bro this is an annoyingly good video , I'm definitely checking out the rest of your work. Also your own short-movie-music-video-idk was on point , even though you were trying to achieve something inspired-by it had its own sprinkle of originality , plus it was relatable. You should make a similar video on bo burnham !!
ua-cam.com/video/6U9BHwxj3eI/v-deo.html
Not exactly what you asked, but Daniel has covered him!
Can you make like an insane amount of those videos like jack stauber? I loved that video. So fucking much.
i just discovered you yesterday from your first jack stauber video, and my god youre amazing ! your voice is so calming and you explain things so freaking well ! i think your depiction of a jack stauber song is beautiful and you did it so well. thank you for what you do :) and i cant wait to watch more videos ! :D
Dude I sing "Plug. In my com-pu-terrr" to myself so often its so much fun
Holy moly that was so flipping good! And the special end. MWAH!! Beautiful Picasso 👌
:) Glad you enjoyed it!! (y'all are being super nice, I appreciate it)
Been waiting for this vid. Thanks for sharing all the effort you put into this!!! You made my day man.
So, I'm a new subscriber that literally found your channel yesterday, and I'd like to say that I'm really happy I did! I'm really happy I was able to find a UA-camr who actually talks about the kinds of things I'm interested in! Your videos are well made, the topics are wonderful, and your music is fantastic! Keep up the great work! And you have a new fan! (Also it would be really awesome if you could do a video on Tally Hall!
God, thank you i already know this will be a masterpiece.
everything i make is a masterpiece, i am becoming invincible.
thanks for watching!!:)
9:19 talves represente tanto o fato dela estar mentindo para si mesma sobre o que esta acontecendo, quanto o fato dela querer acreditar que não é nada de mais .
I’m so excited that this series is back!
The series is excited you are back tbh
Your song/video emulating his style was so so good!!!! You did an awesome job channeling his "singing in cursive" style and creating a song that i would 100% think was written by him. Super fun video, thank you for making it!!
Man this is great! Also excited that you said you may be doing a video on Vewn is something I'm really excited for!!! Keep up the amazing work, you can tell how much effort you put into making these, it's inspiring :)!
Thanks for watching 8 cent jello. What was the inspiration behind that username of yours?
@@danielprofeta I appreciate you asking! I've loved making UA-cam videos as a hobby since I was a kid, and would like to do it more. So when I created this account I wanted people to get at the very least the quality equivalency of 8 Cents worth of Jello, but hopefully more!
@@8centjello636 Greatest origin story I've ever heard
@@danielprofeta Why thank you sir, I wish thee a grand day, can't wait to see what other content you put out
When you talked about disturbing dreams in the intro, or dreams that stick with you it literally made me remember all the dreams that have had things that stuck with me, thanks for that. 👍
Very cool video at the end! You emulated his style really well, but at the same time made it your own. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching
Dang the video you made at the end is beautiful frfr
Thank you for watching!!
1st of all: Your explaining Jack Stauber videos are the best I have seen
2nd: My favorite Jack Stauber song is 4.99 I would be really happy if you covered it!
Makes me feel so-
@daniel profeta
wait you actually saw my comment-
im so happy
@@YourAverageFan663 thanks for watching my friend:)
@daniel profeta
no problem just watching what i like to watch!
Yeah, the anxiety representation was greatly appreciated when I first watched that video
ok but ur recreation of jack is absolutely amazing, and well done! the animation, and the beat. you did it perfectly!!! im so amazed how you did it!!
Congrats on 21K subs! Not quite 30K but…. Onward and upward. When you make it to the stars you’re gonna tear them down. ⭐️
If these last few videos are any indication, we'll get there.
Love the reference:)
The first jack stauber video was the first video I saw from this channel, love the vibes/community here!
You are now part of the community, and you can never escape. Welcome aboard:)

I love the ending, you did some amazing work
the production on that song is actually so good omg
Thanks, did it all myself. I have 3 albums of original musicyou can find here on youtube and on bandcamp if you want
me and my small friend group of three refer to 'ben' as benny worm because of this song, he is very small for our age and takes time to listen to us. a true worm pal :)
this has been one of my most awaited 2nd videos in awhile
Did it live up to your dreams?
you did a perfect job oh my god (i’m new to your youtube channel and i love it so much, you are a genuinely very cool person)
Your little bit at the end almost made me think I was actually watching a Jack Stauber video, lol. That was awesome!
:) hell yes
dude ur vids are awesome how come ive never seen u earlier
Wow this is really great! Thank you for another video about Jack, it's always interesting and I love seeing how you see this videos and songs as well. If you do another video would you mind going over Dinner? It's been one of my favorite songs as of late, and I relate to it a lot. Anyways, thank you again for the amazing video. It's obvious you put a lot of effort into it :)
Dinner was originally in this script along with like four other tracks, but I ended up cutting it so I could finish the video on time. Maybe in part three:)
"the guy starts stimming again-" **hits like without hesitation**
thank you for your validating and nuanced perspectives, it adds so much for me
also adhd solidarity?? question mark poggo?? /pos
the ending song made me cry at "I'm not doing enough." wonderful efforts. we are legion
another one of these! tysm!
i love your interpretation of these, its def fun to see what other people think about his amazing songs!
if i could suggest something, id say "lima bean man" and "will" both are kinda disturbing, id love to see your perspective on it :)!
for a song, I think "cupid" would be nice, as im pretty sure it describes a relationship breakup, and how you feel numb and absolutely abandoned afterwards.
Thanks again man!
Yeah, if I do another one Cupid will almost definitely be in it
good stuff. don't see many people online cover Jack's work, let alone with so much apparent reverence and depth. The ending was fantastic as well.
you should totally post the Stauberfied song you made separately, or on a streaming service or something! its so cool! :D
Dear God it took forever to find you bro. I was beginning to think that this video was just an illusion in my head but the algorithm decided to play nice
You could just look the dude up instead of waiting for the algorithm to show you?
this video was incredible. I loved the jack stauber inspired vid at the end especially was really well done n beautiful, I could come up w so many interpretations of it. Keep doing what u do, can’t wait for what u talk about next ❤️
I'd love to hear your interpretations of my jack stauber video sometime
Thank you so much for watching, I'm making a video about Skinamarink next
