As a psychotherapist , I’ve had female clients share with me that some of their friends speak dismissively of them for staying home with children. Why is it that satisfaction is marketed as primary coming from outside the home? First wave feminism was about women having the rights to work inside or outside the home. Let’s value women that desire to stay home to work with the same energy that we value women that go out to work.

Feminism is a political movement. It was never meant to benefit women but only the government and large profit making corporations. Yes I do agree that there are a few good things have come out of it but mostly it was meant to create a barrier between the man and the woman thereby leading to destruction of the family system and lineage.

Why should women be forced to work outside? Being a homemaker is a priceless job and for as long as the couple can afford it, women should be allowed to be a homemaker. Life as a women is definitely not easy. Besides the childbearing duties, a homemaker actually keeps the house in order so that the kids and her husband have a comfortable place to rest.

There's nothing that brings me so much fulfillment and satisfaction than when at the end of the day I sit down at my kitchen table with my bible and a cup of chamomile tea 🍵, hymn instrumental playing in the background knowing that I've served my husband and children to the best of my ability; as to the Lord. That is such a powerful role I really appreciate the value of the homeworker illustrated in this video presentation I am a husband and father of 4 children..God has made woman and man to reflect his character and glory my greatest thanks to the presenter of this video ..more than 12 years into my marriage i never made a conscious effort to define roles(much everything was assumed )and Lord is currently working in our family at this very moment I now have greater respect for the homemaker "the women" a complimentary God like nature of our Savior doing so much unfortunately much of time unnoticed or appreciated by most receivers of the blessing..this video makes me want to honor more the role God has assigned in family in term legacy mentioned here...women never should be ashamed or give up their God given birth right.. remember as well said in the video grown man have been known to cry out to you mothers in the midst of fetal crises such as in times of war..you women have a powerful role...please fully embrace it for the sake of God's glory and our society. Today unfortunately the modern woman has taken up the role as a part-time hobby or altogether neglect this vital role. However to rest of you whom unfortunately get neglected by your husband/peers recall we are the ones missing out please continue be patient with us until we get it for His(God's)glory.. As a father of 2 daughters 3 and 12 years old I sincerely pray for wisdom since both their parents are behind and are just now making effort to do it according to God's word/philosophy. I come from a lineage of women who resented their homemaking. I feel it I’m my bones now I’m a mother. There’s this emptiness around what to do and how. I grew up watching my mother chastise and constantly yell at my father.
I long and will do everything in my power to right this disturbance to the mother’s role.
I also grew up without Christ.
Now he as entered our lives and oh did the devil make himself known.

@Charity Speaks well, for me I'm way better at money making than at being compassionate and joyful about staying at home. On top of that, constant stay at home just puts me down regularly whenever I try it for too long, so I wouldn't mind being the money maker, while my hubbie in the future would want to stay at home and make home, if he's gifted to do so. I can absolutely cook and clean and make ambience, but it only comes as pleasure and fulfillment from time to time. When I actually have time off. Every single day of stay at home and so on is definitely not what I'm created for. And it shows. That's why I either need a hubbie that we will this or that way partner together at making home a lovely place, embracing of what we are both gifted with, or he can stay at home if he craves to, since I don't have issue to work hard/smart. I also believe that since each of us is created to be the best we can be to the world, I trust it's good to let work those who love it and let stay at home those who clearly vibe with it. ❤️

If you could you find a work from home part time job that pays similar to your in person job that might help. I realized that I like working outside the home as long as it’s part time and not too demanding. The remaining time I spend at home home making. I just can’t stay at home 7 days a week but if I were to have a child I’d definitely choose a remote position.

As a mother of two boys, this video really resonated with me for two reasons:
    1. I want my sons to crave ‘home’ when they are older and relate the feelings of home to being well fed, well loved and comfortable. I want them to grow up and live their lives as men but I never want them to forget the love and support I will always have for them.
    2. I fear that I may never have a daughter to pass these legacies down to. I know society these days tells us that boys can be homemakers and take on that role and that’s fine, but it’s not the same as passing these special things that I do down to a daughter. I love my sons enormously and would never replace them with a daughter but I just pray that in the future God gives me the opportunity to teach my daughter the ways you have so eloquently described ❤️

Don't forget that Ruth and Naomi were mother-in-law and daughter-in-law and they had a beautiful, life long relationship. My MIL was a homemaker and had two sons, and no daughters. Part of the reason my husband was so open to the idea of my staying at home even before we had children was that his mother normalized it. You are paving the way for your future daughters in law to be a blessing to your sons, and also to be blessed to have the option to choose homemaking.

The talk about legacies reminds me of New Orleans. When you look around the city you see Spanish architecture, but the spirit of the city is French. Spanish men married French women and built Spanish buildings, but their children were raised speaking French, learning French manners, and eating French cuisine. It's a French city because of the women!

I agree with you, I've never been more fulfilled than being a SAHM, and it's not just taking care of my baby but also taking care of my home and husband. Every night I get so much satisfaction after dinner is done and the kitchen is clean, waters are filled, the lights are turned down and we're just spending time together for the last hour before bed 💕

People are entitled to be passionate about whatever they want to be passionate about. You are passionate about being a homemaker, hence the reason you felt unfulfilled in doing work outside the home. The career woman might be passionate about her career. I feel it is wrong for persons to look down on or belittle others' passion because it is different than their own: doing so could be considered a form of ethnocentrism. I also consider it a lack of respect for boundaries. I am a career woman who also enjoys taking care of my home. My home is my happy place. I absolutely love your videos.

Same. I did very important work outside the home. I helped low-income families through my nonprofit work. Families that were broken and struggling to get by. To say that I was working just for the company CEO’s paycheck is a broad generalization. I couldn’t relate to that statement.

What I'd give to stay home and be a woman all day. I have taken sewing classes and baking courses and I love to do those things. I'm not very good at sewing but that doesn't stop me.I work now because we simply can't afford life right now on one salary. But I revel in homemaking...baking, cleaning, cooking, being the comforter for my son, smelling feminine, I get endless joy and fulfillment from those things.... The tender of flowers and herbs in the pots, I love it.

I think if we’re honest, there’s something about it that feels more natural to us as women than working a stressful corporate M-F job. I worked a high stress career for years. Definitely still on the learning curve with staying at home😅 but I feel more natural in this role. And I can’t help but think about Titus 2, the older women are instructed to teach the younger women “to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, HOMEMAKERS…”
It’s biblical, that’s why it feels natural.

I love the idea of tradition making in the "feminine arts". My grandmother and mother and aunts ALL have contributed to the holiday meals I create and have already passed down to my eldest daughter. I remember calling my grandma asking her how to make something she was known for cooking or baking. Sooo many wonderful memories associated with food and fellowship. This is what I've began with my family. EVERY holiday is celebrated and we have continued some traditions and tweaked others and created new ones. Your children will THANK YOU for your consistency in these things. i makeover my kids' rooms as they grow. THAT'S my new tradition. Usually for a teen birthday they get a make over that will take them to high school graduation. Make memories and have fun doing it! 😊

Hi there i agree with everything you have said. I was a stay at home mom till my children started school 22yrs ago. i was never board or felt like i was missing out on anything. i started working because i wanted things (material) that my husband couldn't afford. He could afford for me to stay at home, he could pay ALL of the bills but i wanted STUFF!!! i know that's dumb but i did. I took pride in the care of my home and family. cooking 3 hot meals a day i enjoyed. My children didn't know what cold cereal was until middle school. This day i want to come back home and all of our children are grown and gone, and people ask me why do you want to be home? you don't even have any children at home. I enjoyed taking care of my husband. We joke now on days that i call out or take off i cook a huge meal with desert included and the house stays clean i greet him at the door with a huge hug and kiss, btw I'm smelling good and looking fine as ever.(smile). He smells the food and see a clean home plus dessert, he always says man i need to bring you back home and i say i agree. I just like stuff and when im done getting stuff or paying off the bills i have created then i will return to being a domestic engineer. I love seeing the huge smile on his face when he comes home to order, and not having to worry about what i.ve been doing all day, or whos business i'm in. Thanks for this i am enjoying your content. I have been married for 27yrs this November 4kids and 7 grandbabies.

But sometimes many feelings of self doubt and guilt come over me to the point where I break down because I feel what I do isn't enough compared to the work my husband does for our family. The problem is the way I think. I've been praying for God to help me get out of this mindset. Now I've found your channel and I'm glad. You seem to really enjoy your life as a homemaker and housewife. It's a big world with a lot of choices and the "default" of one's social sphere doesn't fit everyone. I can relate to that. I am a single, child-free lesbian who originally watched your content for loc content.
I work and I think I'll always work- my job is hard and makes me feel broken and less on bad days, but good moments with my patients do make me feel fulfilled. They make me feel like flying. On the weekend when I'm off I do this thing where I'm my own housewife... honestly that gives me deep fulfillment too, and in a different way than work does! I look at my clean home and feel deeply connected to my femininity, which is my core. The calmness and serenity of the weekend carries me through the week, and I love coming home to my clean, feminine home and family of me and my bird children.
I'm saying all this to say that there are a lot of ways to be a woman. Though the faith based life of submission to God first and then family will never be my ministry, I think we both love our homes and making them beautiful because we understand that peace begins at home. And I think that's really cool.

Thank you Bindi, if you don’t like to sew or aren’t any good then try something different that your interested in more and may be better at. I grew up in a family where my mother and sister sewed but had trouble with making something one dimensional go to three dimensional.i got a sewing machine when I got married and wanted to sew well but couldn’t So I learned to mend by sewing old clothes then made small quilts with old clothing and that saved money and eventually learned to sew some things like aprons and girls little dresses but that took a while. But then I moved to a cold climate instead I learned to spin wool and knit from scratch and it saved money and made happy memories going to sheep and wool festivals with my family on Mother’s Day weekend. I love these posts of yours dear because you are right on with all of thiS.💕😊

"Homemakers are the "stuff" of legacy and lineage." This is a whole sermon. I, fortunately, grew up in a traditional household with a father who was bread winner and a mother who was largely a homemaker. She didn't really work outside the home consistently until we were in middle school. She made most of our dresses, and even her own. She crocheted and knitted. We ate home cooked meals every night, at home, as a family around the table - not in front of the TV - where we talked about our day. She made a fabulous dessert every week. She gardened and canned excess for out of season. She made jellies and preserves, pickles, applesauce, canned fruits in syrup, baked homemade bread, and so much more. She taught us many things in the way of home economics and homemaking, except for sewing - she said that she couldn't get or keep us interested in it. 🤷‍♀ But I thank you so much for this video.

Thank you for this. I listened to the entirety. I am a social worker and I am a pastor's wife. I worked several types of jobs before being married and then went part-time with my first child. I never felt more fulfilled and "having it all" than when I decided to stay home with my children (now 2 girls). People say it's about having money in order to be home but I was home when my husband lost his great paying job and had to work two jobs til God changed everything and BOTH of us will never regret me being home. So many women throw insults at those who stay home but I certainly don't have any judgment for the women who work outside of the home. God knows all things, but I asked God to keep us until things God better. He blessed my husband to start a business and gave us a large contract and many others. I assist him where I can in the business with my other talents, but he carries the bulk. The days where I only need to focus on the house and kids and him, I feel the most fulfilled. Now as a pastor's wife, God is shifting things again. We just move with it.

I am a mother of two who also works from home. To simply give a little bit of a background, I've made over 6 figures annually and work with very demanding clients; however I've always admired the woman who were able to juggle the home. Now that I am doing both (homeschooling and still wfh), I've had to heal the societal pressure to prove what I do all day. To heal the perfectionism and validation from others that I do enough. Its a journey to shift your mindset from social norms of value to the heart's value of true worthiness. I had to change my perspective to see that the value came from how my children's hearts will be impacted by the small gestures and the mental acuity that comes to them being in a clean & organized home.

Thank you for your ministry to women! I have never been more fulfilled than when I'm following God's family structure as stated in His Word, and as a homemaker. I worked jobs for years, but this is far better! It helped me a lot, to significantly declutter and reduce the amount of inventory in my home to what I can manage. I'm now expecting our first child and can look forward to that with joy and anticipation instead of dread of "how can I possibly do this?"
On the subject of sewing...I grew up with a family legacy of sewing as a skill, but I have really started embracing it the last few years. I've been looking for modest dresses locally, but because of a lack of options, have begun to sew my own. I can make them however I want, with modesty, femininity, beauty and comfort in mind. It's been fun! I hope you can discover the joy of creating, especially in the vacuum of good options! God bless!

In another video you also mentioned that you know that its good work for you if at the end of the day you are not drained. Everything else that I worked before or even school drained me tremendously. Even the thought of having to find a career (that makes money) that fits me and is fun for me drained me so much and was another factor for me spiraling down into depression. Honestly I'm forever grateful that Jesus found me and picked me up and is now teaching me (through women like you also) what it means to be a WOMAN and homemaking etc. I am a homemaker now and my boyfriend is so supportive as well. The more I go into it and live it the happier I feel. I feel so much more freedom now that I can do and enjoy these women things without feel ashamed for it. I enjoyed this entire video but especially when you spoke about legacies and lineages I never thought about it from that perspective. I did grow up in a Christian foundation as a child. My mother was a single parent, but my grandmother moved to the state where my mom and I were located and while my mom worked and attended school to provide my grandmother would cook breakfast lunch and dinner and during those times we would have bible study . Grandmother would lead out in song and prayer. Maybe bible study was 30minutes to an hour. I would read the word as well and sometimes pray. Then I would either go back outside and play or stay indoors. Her homecooked meals were my alarms. She would also clean almost each morning with pinsol and /or bleach and air out the house.Sometimes I would be annoyed by all the bible studies per day but I'm thankful for it now. I want to do the same with my future children and husband during mornings and nights when he's home.

This is the exact content I need for the stage I'm currently in. I'm in a courtship and we're working towards marriage. I desire to be a homemaker and homeschool our future children. However, there's a bit of guilt there because I have student loans and other debt that I'm working to pay off and I really don't want my husband to have to be responsible for it if I'm not earning income. I would love to hear your thoughts and wisdom on that

I am standing in agreement that I too can find that fulfillment soon in being a wife and mother to a healthy, wealthy, Godly man!

I am a single woman and homeowner. And for the last 2 years, I truly have felt a sense of joy and fulfillment from doing work in my home. I like my job, but it doesn’t give me the joy that homemaking does. I thank The Lord for giving me that spirit of contentment even as a single woman. Because I know that feeling will only grow stronger once I am a wife and mother!
