    So here I'm having a look at the lepsk8 0° Truck/Tail.
    It is a lot of fun, but I didn't have that much time to test it yet. It looks promising tho!

    Awesome! As much as I enjoy my acess to expensive gear, the real magic of skateboarding is that it can be affordable without significant reduction in performance. It's important that well made equipment is available and affordable for a variety of people with varied resources. You're doing a service to the sport by showcasing many budget conscious offerings. I would in no way consider this to be a low end product i would say it likely belongs in the high end of things. But it's not that much more expensive than a set of paris trucks which I think will allow more people to get on them.
    Good work Michael!

    I just got mine from LEPSK8 and am very happy with it, and since it is taking the place of my TTA on my Pantheon Wiggler, I can give you feedback on comparing the 2.
    The TTA is a really stiff torsion tail...even after I swapped-out the cone/cube bushings to 75A. While it returns a lot of energy into your pump, it also requires a lot of energy to be put into it. Slow pumps will sap your energy and yield very little. In other words, like the disclaimer says "know what you're getting yourself into" before buying the TTA.
    On to the LEPSK8: mine came with dual 85A barrel bushing and cups (as opposed to cones on your model). I was able to induce a bit of actual wheel lift after cranking-down on the bushings a little too far, so I simply backed-out a few turns until the wheel lift disappeared and haven't touched it since.
    Compared to the TTA, the LEPSK8 feels way more fluid and surfy while still giving some decent rebound to the pump. I run a Seismic Aeon 45 in a GBomb glass bracket up front with 78a bushings and an additional 3deg wedge. I can really notice how less restrictive the LEPSK8 tail is on the front truck now compared to the TTA, plus I don't get any of that annoying TTA-induced wheel-lift. For my type of riding (daily city commutes and long weekend rides), the benefit of maneuverability and efficient low-speed pumps out-weighs the sheer top-end speed of the TTA. Overall, I think this is an excellent gateway to torsion tails, and I don't see why anyone would need to upgrade to something more expensive. Don't get me wrong...the TTA is a great torsion tail, but I've learned that it's application is very limited. Whatever you ride, have fun out there!

      Yeah thats something a lot of people on the TTA say, the TTX also looks great, but so far was too expensive for me to justify, when I have other options!
      I would be interested in your opinion on the Seismic Aeon. I didn't get it to work for me on a topmount.
      i guess you run 130s with the pink bushings. Is it fun ?

      @@skate-horizons Yup, 130mm 45deg with pink 78a bushings, set to max positive wedge (14deg) on the glass bracket with an additional slim 3deg wedge under the baseplate.
      The Seismic Aeon 45 is the weirdest truck I've ever ridden in that while the hanger is indeed raked, the turn-to-lean characteristic IRL is more like that of a zero-rake truck. It's dead, as in it feels like it resists the turn. After giving it 15deg total wedge, it feels a bit more responsive, but still nowhere near as responsive as a Paris V3 or Bear Gen6. The main benefit I get from this truck is the weight savings. It's feather-light, which is a plus when mounted to a heavy board like the Wiggler, and it's low...the lowest of all the trucks I've tried. The 30deg rear Aeon truck is even weirder in that the hanger is placed so far back in the baseplate that it actually makes contact with the side "wings" of the Gbomb glass bracket. Not really usable in my case, which is why the LEPSK8 tail is perfect for my application.

    Try it with riptide bushings, maybe 80a-85a. Torsion tails give soooo much rebound/self centering force if they are hard (TTA) or set them to be hard (TTX) that the board is less surfy, but pumps faster. This and other "center spherical + 2 horizontal bushings" tails are less powerful in top speed but highly tuneable just by changin the 2 bushings, in hardness, shape and with/without the little spacers, also between regular and tall bushings. Experiment 😊

    • @GermanBadGuy
      @GermanBadGuy 2 місяці тому

      So you would say this one can be tweaked into a really surfy LDP tail?

    • @giovannicolosi5058
      @giovannicolosi5058 2 місяці тому

      @@GermanBadGuy this tail could be made somewhat surfy with soft bushings (barrels or cones), but I prefer the S Tail in that way (that costs double but has internal spacers and uses tall bushings... and still costs less than a ttx + bushings in eu). Also front truck plays a big role in the "surfyness"!

      @@skate-horizons Thanks for the quick reply! Trying to get back into boarding after a 4 year hiatus due to my garage being broken into and my boards stolen. Having moved from a place with many awesome hills to somewhere flat has gotten me looking into LDP stuff. Been doing some research into whats out there now as boarding tech seems to always be evolving, and man is there some cool stuff! @@skate-horizons There are soooo many boards I’ve been looking at, but I’m thinking of going with a Pantheon Supersonic complete from them, just slap it together and go roll. I’m very intrigued by the idea of the Wiggler, the option to run it with brackets or as a topmount is interesting for sure, but I haven’t seen/heard any word on how it is as a topmount, and brackets would be a future upgrade not a right-away thing most likely.
      Serious analysis paralysis going on lol.
