I used an Alioth Galactus Lockdown deck (actually identical to the one TLSG is using) and went from 86 to Infinite in 2 hours; it’s mad crazy how burdening Alioth can feel
I hit infinite with your version. I got Alioth right after it came out, and was already doing well with my own version, but your version has Orka, who is one of my favorite cards, so I had to try it out, and just kept winning. It was great for the final push from 90 to 100. Thanks, TLSG!!
Ok, I haven't been impressed so far with what I've been trying with Alioth. But this reminds me of general control that we both love. Definitely going to have to try this version
Been using this deck since your previous video when you used Death to substitute before Alioth came out. Now that it’s out, got to infinite in no time. Alioth is crazy!
@@TLSGMarvelSnap Could not disagree more. This season has been absolutely terrible and pay to win at it's worst. We went from "I steal all your cards but they're cheaper and 2 drop is 20 power" to "you can't play anything turn 6 at all" and reviving Galactus. The games miserable and there's mass complaints before Alioth, who is going to be extremely unpopular for reasons you showed in this video.
9:54 A card moved by Aero still activates Silk? That seems wrong. I thought a card moved by Aero doesn't activates effects like Angela, Shuri, or Shuri's lab, but I may be wrong.
I was stuck between 97-99 for a couple of days until I used this. I had a 75% win rate with 1.4 cubes avg in 16 games. I feel dirty, but now I can move on. :P Thanks for sharing!
I love this decklist... But i cant shake the feeling that a Tempo ProfX+Alioth might be even more powerful as we test Alioth further, since tempo is more likely to win initiative battles.
That could definitely be the case too! Something like Thanos control could be pretty interesting for for him or even some form of storm/prof x lane lockdown style forcing your opponent to play into 1 lane for the final turn. I think Alioth is definitely one that will be scary to play against and isn't as easy as just play armor/cosmo to stop him if he's built right!
i like having the prof X+Death combo after galactus(if u get enough destroy), that will pretty much lockout the game; alternately i think alioth will bring back the storm lockdown again
It's the counter to getting sang chi'ed after galactus and I love it. I mainly use it in thanos galactus destroy deck, because it is not that obvious. Love the video
We always seem to have similar ideas for decks. I’ve been playing this same list it’s been holding strong. I ended up subbing Sunspot and Shangchi for Kang and America Chavez for more consistency. Like you were saying there’s a lot of play lines more than you’d expect
I've been playing a different orka deck and its been slapping. Nobody expects orka ever, even if you play if without his effect he's still got decent power
Would you say it's good without Galactus? Maybe just a Control tempo deck. I only see Galactus decks but i dont have him so i don't know if i should go for it
Me before watching TLSG: I probably won't bother with Alioth. Me after watching TLSG: how do I get as many spotlight caches as possible to ensure I get this card
Love your videos man. Watch them daily. You give great decks and tips. I got snowguard out of the first cache, and I’m gonna try for Alioth, with your same deck build. Currently around rank 92-93.
I myself want to try something different so I cooking him with Thanos destroy, having some good time and fun. Can you see any nerf coming with his interaction against the opponent cards?
I could see either his power coming down or being like aero and only effecting the first or last card played at the location, but that's only if he continues performing insanely well. Initially he feels amazing, but there's a chance that maybe the meta shifts to make him less effective as people learn to play against him
Just by looking at this gameplay you can easily say it is overstated. I really don't understand how they can fuck up so much the stats of their own game after 2 years.
Started off playing this the night alioth came out but with minor differences. At first the cubes and wins were great but a couple days in the ladder is already tired of it and will leave for 1 cube or the occasional loss which nets you less cubes as a result so I may switch to another deck for climbing
My read on what this card would be seems completely correct: it was already a good idea to retreat after your opponent successfully flipped a Galactus 9 times out of 10. Now it is correct to retreat 10 times out of 10. It's a Galactus "win-more" card. Galactus players don't even have to buy Alioth. Just the threat of Alioth should be enough to win you the game now. I never have to lose more than 1 or 2 cubes to that deck again. Good.
I'm enjoying this card so far. That said I'm convinced it will get nerfed to not include unrevealed cards or something. Hadn't played Galactus in a while. I just waved my Galactus out on T4. They played black panther same lane so had initiative into T5. They then used Alioth followed by Odin. I was playing a similar deck but with no Odin, so I'm not mad, but that is going to trigger so many people lol. There's just no counter if they can get initiative. That said I think I'm going to pick a card to take out for Odin lol.
Omg I just saw goku and immediately thought it was like a person named Ren who liked goku. But he's from demon slayer another great anime :( and such a great character too
Galactus was my first thought with Alioth just like yours. Glad you share your thoughts on each new card. Always here to support you Edit: I absolutely love Alioths animation. I really hope some other cards get animation upgrades to a similar quality of his.
Thank you for being here early and being here to enjoy the content! This feels truly tough to play against. The shell was already strong and I think alioth pushes it way over the edge
@@TLSGMarvelSnapnp, I was already up anyways and saw you posted. Yeah I’m a little worried that the meta is gonna shift to a lot of galactus and Alioth decks now. So I kinda expect to potentially see counter and junk decks spark up as counters to them
If you like galactus or sandman ramp style decks I'd say yes! The deck from today feels line it will be really hard to counter outside of maybe Thanos control, but that's a big maybe!
@@TLSGMarvelSnap I just pulled Galactus a little while ago and haven't tried him out yet, but I do really like ramp/lockdown decks. I'm gonna pick him up, thanks.👍
I wasn’t a fan of the card when they announced it and that still stands now. When they nerfed Spider-Man, second dinner said it was because it wasn’t fun being locked out of a location. So how do they think controlling a location on the final turn is a good idea? Seems like such a no skill card.
I just encountered like 5 of this deck and once you know what the opponent is going to do (thx to this video❤) is easy to counter because you play around any possibility if you can 😅
I'm thinking it would destroy only what they played there that turn. So modok should stay but the hela would be destroyed. (That's how it feels like it should intuitively work, but I haven't tested it to be sure!)
Just play a ramp deck, Galactus is a nice option to add when you get him but try… Nebula, Daredevil, Jeff, Electro, Wave, Dino, Black Panther, Zola, Alioth, Odin, Chavez and then the last card is up to you either Sunspot/Leader/Dr Doom/Prof X
I just got to infinite with this deck. I use chavaz instead of orka and death instead of sunspot. I might get rid of death but im not sure ill use orka or sunspot.
I need stegron, jean gray, kang and alioth for a full collection and im at 3k tokens. I think if I play my cards right I can get all those 4 plus the 2 new ones.
That's why we have both! By having both it adds multiple ways to play around your opponent. If they play against your galactus you prof x. Or visa versa. It's truly tough to cover both ends of the decks reach!
I've decided to stop playing Marvel Snap. Just frustrating and not enjoying it anymore. I'll probably still watch your vids every now and then for the entertainment you bring 😎✌
I feel line Alioth is the opposite of what we needed in Snap right now. 6 cost cards aren't very impactful right now. Often no real reason to run them. Now even less reason to run them.

Finally a tlsg video. I got so used to your daily uploads that it feels like it’s been a long time since your last video.
Same, thought my man was on vacation lol
That Alioth animation is horrifying. It's like some eldritch horror. Your cards just evaporate in a smoke cloud
Either a Eldritch horror, or a Taco Bell fart. You can't unsee it now
Gonna be honest, I really enjoyed playing the old Leader, and Alioth has been playing very similarly, sometimes almost better. Really loving the card.
Playing leader right now is good as well, if you play it in another lane, it counters alioth
Absolutely fantastic deck. Took me from 89 to 100 in 59 games with a 64% win.
Keep those blankets clean ❤️
I have been jamming this deck since the video dropped, and climbed from the low 80s to infinite with it. Thanks for the content!
I like that you put games where you don't play the new card so we can learn when not to play it as well.
I opened the spotlight cache with gut feeling just having 2 caches and first snow guard and second alioth
That's great

Instead of Nebula you can run night crawler or yondu. Yondu for disrupt, Crawler to make room for galactus while he takes up space.

I say if you're a hard core control, tempo, or galactus, yes. Otherwise nah. Maybe with spotlights instead.
