Nice rig, but 90k? F that. Just buy a used traditional van and build it to your needs and save a ton of cash.
@@PedroKing99 hello! You would save cash doing it yourself
@@alholds No You Won't
How about the people that don't have the needed skills to build your on .
@@captainjackkay3132 Then you save some cash and hire someone to build you a bed. Then save a little more and hire someone to build you a few cabinets and a sink if you want.
@@orlandisd You can build a bed, some cabinets, sink, etc for well under $10k and have money left over. If you can't build it yourself there are a lot of handy men and women that can be hired and still be way under $20k.
nah, way over priced.....besides its still a vehicle which would depreciate faster than you could sneeze.....and 20 years? no way, it would never last the 20 year "mortgage"
Yep. This thing will be so up side down before you know it. 20 years is pipe dream. 10 years max with proper maintenance which cost a lot.
$475 a month for 20 years,,, LOL,,, that vehicle will be trash in 10,,,,
Or 200 for 40 ;)
Exactly 🎯
It will be in fine shape as long as you put about $400/mo out for maintenance.
Exactly as I much as I like tiny house I won't pay that much for one on the wheels
What makes it go trash over the years?
Having no generator is a big disadvantage as well as the small refrigerator, I think is very overpriced for what it offers, for me it's not worthy!
Yup 90k lmao
But, you have solar on top
@@carolcatchychanneltipsandt1448 it's not always sunny.
This model does have a generator
I agree. It sucks
No way this is worth that kind of money. Back to the drawing board. What a waste.
Many years ago 50+, I had planned to buy a motor home, so that I could travel and perform. However, once I had calculated the cost of fuel, and adding the cost of purchase AND maintenance, it was actually cheaper to sleep at Hotel 6, and have more room, a better bed, and a better shower/bath. Then, drive a smaller car with a suitcase from place to place.
do you own a Hotel and hate competition ?
@@JamesSmith-ui2hv do you know how to do math?
Especially nowadays economical car is the only way to fly....

These are nice - but for some reason I watch SO MANY videos showcasing European motorhomes of the same class and they always seem so much better in quality and interior design and don't seem afraid to break away from traditional layouts and interiors. American vehicles just seem like updated versions of 70's and 80's models.
Cuz the RV industry is owned by old people and serve majority senior citizens
Exactly. USA produced junk now
The forgien vans don’t pass safety and quality inspections for America ,, they are not allowed,,, a few are.

@@beverlybalius9303 Nonsense. European standards are much higher. Just look at construction code or emission regulations in Germany! You have no clue.
Take your 90k and go buy a 3k van off craigslist every year for 30 years
I'm having a hard time figuring out how they can justify $50k+ done in upgrades over the base van.
Lmao exactly. They put around 5-7K into it.
Not worth the money
I'm not seeing it either. Usually a sacrifice in amenities at least gives you a cheaper price but these are the worst of both worlds.
Exactly!
@@ninaobie3946 I’d rather buy and empty cargo van and build it out myself. Would be a lot cheaper. And more sturdy.
This van not worth the money
As far as van life goes I would rather just buy a van shell and build it out .. Because it’s hard to actually fine a van build that I would actually like . I feel these designs are horrible. The bed area looks like a complete waste of space.
Oh, I totally agree!!!! And that tiny kitchen area is just not suitable for van life!
@@christopherlucas1395 leisure travel vans are pretty smart with the layouts.
@@mada1241 Well, I’ve seen hundreds of van builds and I would much rather prefer a lot of their layouts! It’s just way more practical for sustainable van life. I totally agree with SprocketLife!
@Pasquale Gelardi 90% of the people that "think" they can complete a full build out, can not.
@@FABRCTR 100% !! People with big ambition and little skill/knowledge watch some youtube videos and yell "van life!" as they clink their craft beer bottles together... then proceed to hack up a cargo van into something the Beverly Hillbillies would be embarrassed to drive around. LOL
I'm not crazy about it, I feel like I could do better with a van/tiny house and not spend 90k. My apartment is only 900 a month, this (after gas/parking) would be more than my 2 bedroom in Philly
Finally, someone with sense!
You don't always pay for parking
@@zebadiahhill5180 you don't always pay for parking with one that isn't 90k
This is better u can pay this for 3-5yrs and then sell it, and if undo ur services it will be in excellent condition, u have nothing to gain when u pay someone else’s mortgage.
@@zedmak yeah I don't plan to stay in the apartment, I'm just staying for now because I don't want to leap into anything. I had my son when I was a young teen & when he goes off to college soon, me and my husband could prob live in a camper... we use about 5 square feet of the apartment & the rest collects dust. There's never a moment when my husband's in one room & I'm in the other, we've spent years valuing our time together & all this space just makes NO sense for us. We're in our early 30s & I don't want to be here in a year.
I'd rather find a nice sprinter under 15k..do the buildout myself..
Although if you are not handy..
I'd rather spend 425 month on this than 600 month for a room!!
Thanks for the video
Fuel to run this beast is going to cost you $500 a month. If you dont own land, you'll need to find the 1% of Land designated for you to park on for free, or else add another $500 a month for a Parking spot.
good luck finding a place that can actually work on that sprinter van. Most Mercedes dealers do not have the right space to work on those sprinter vans & if it is diesel it will cost you a arm & leg just for a oil change. Do some real research on this stuff.
This van is cheaply made it’s crap I’ve seen so many better ones for so much less money

I like the build, especially the bathroom but they cheaped out on a bunch of things here. definitely not worth 90k.
that is an awful layout
I like the old ones much better - not much thought went into the new ones. They need to hire some of the tech guys that live full time in their vans - they do amazing work and innovative.
It’s beautiful but I wouldn’t pay that kind of money for it and either $90,000 add a little bit more and you have a big home you can drive your car traveling. I believe a lot of these companies are exaggerating in their prices. I would rather buy a big van with a pop up and converted myself and probably it wouldn’t run me more than 30,000
Wow this is an awesome offer for someone like me who is retired on a fixed income. I need to check out insurance and gas and where to park it. I feel as if I'm one step away from being homeless and I'm not very good at asking for money on a street corner with a cardboard box saying God bless you..
Terrible layout. And way overpriced. I wouldn’t pay half that.
I still think making your own is the best way than a pre-made
There is not a chance in hell that I would pay that kind of money for that thing
It's a good price. I know what these go for with the other brands. This is priced well.
I agree to a large extent, Connie. Would I pay it? Nope, but I'm not much for Class B's. Obviously, some of the people posting have not priced many new models in this class. Granted this model is pretty bare bones, but many of the competitors are significantly more expensive (like $125k and beyond). Class B's in general always seemed like a waste to me. I would much rather go with a nice Class C that's not only more livable, but also quite a bit more affordable. I imagine they *really* seem expensive to people looking at them more as just a vehicle than as an RV or a place to live, which are the things a lot of people are using them for.
@@conniefox8044 In comparison to what other class b's are priced it may be a good price tag but for what you get it's not. I have a 1999 Pleasure Way Class B. It is beautiful inside and has everything including, more store, a more 'livable space, ALL the amenities and many more comforts. I might pay 90,000 for it, not, but sure as hell not that piece of junk they're showing in this video and probably not for any of the newer B's I've seen. Luckily, I only paid 12,000 for mine. It only had 10,000 miles, all original, everything works and it still looks like brand new. $90,000?, my shiny hiney!
@@briank8482 No need to be rude about it.
You would if you have 2 or 3 gamerooms running in Texas ( you'll pay cash to buy it instantly)
This is good for people who work far from home. They can work 5 days and live onsite, drive home on weekends. Save on renting a room and gas plus commute time.
Living in this 5 days a week for anything more than a couple of weeks would kill me.
Why would anyone pay this much rather than just move closer to work?...It would take decades before it would make sense economically.
500$ a month if you have 700+ credit score
That is right, I tried to get a loan to buy an RV and the Dealer told me that his Bank doesn't accept me because they want a credit score of 730 and Higher.
I guess to buy an RV I need down payment of a least 10% and a credit score of 730 plus.
And how much does a land cost?
@@agv3581 Or you could form an LLC and get a trusted friend or family member to join your company with a 730 score and co sign via your entity. Down payment and credit score? Thanks. BEAUTIFUL 😍😘😍
How much?
Personally I'd rather find a 70s or 80s van and customize it using some of the features like the vent fan, but still keeping the classic looks of the old custom vans. Wouldn't necessarily be a camper van but one a couple could travel around in and sleep in.
Yep, for $90,000 I'm highly unimpressed.
Overpriced crap! 💩
You can literally buy a brand new Honday Odyseey and deck it out with top-of-the-line equipment to be a functional RV/VAN for under 35K.
How can you justify this being close to 90K?
Hyundai??
Not.
They usually say capitalism....
That's much smaller than this thing is. I'd recommend a used stock Sprinter then kit it out in the same 35k price range.
This does have a lot more space
Why pay 30 yr mortgage for something that deprecates fast & lasts 10 years.
Because it's still cheaper than renting...and being totally off-grid ...you can move around....I hate more of the same ol thing
The narrator said 20-year vehicle loan available. Thus, $375 per month, plus $100 per month loan fee. Hopefully, buyer could negotiate to less. I think company should add a back swing away shelf to carry a generator and big gas containerization so that user could run the air conditioner every day on BLM land.

He gives the walk through like my old uncle. Seems annoyed by those eating out all the time, he's clearly not impressed with the $90K price tag. I love how he offers the advice to live cheap and just get a van. I was waiting for him to complain about kids these days and their Rock N' Roll when he got to the CD player. lol This was enjoyable.
For vacation and camping trips, this would be ok. For van life, I hate it. Most van lifers make use of every nook and cranny, or make unique builds for their specific needs. This won't give you that.
I agree. Most van life people want a cheaper vehicle to avoid making payments and also want a bare bones vehicle. It would be a love/hate thing to buy this and tear the inside apart to set it up how you want
Depends on who you are and what that person's needs are. I am not challenging that this isn't the van for you, but I wouldn't think it wouldn't work for some people.
What i see is that it's not custom to what you need. There's no way i'd need a dual burner stove or a microwave. As you say, good weekender for rich people.
Most van lifers are fake too. Not many actually live in a van more than a week.
Have you tried to buy a van for it? I am still looking, not for van life, just to travel.
Your right about the fridge. I would just have a 12v cooler as a extra.
89 thousand??? this why people building out their own vans
For real, so many class B's are WAAAY over priced for what's in them. You can get larger class RV's for cheaper often times as well.
@@morior considering you can get a travel trailer for like 20k yea lol.
absolutely soulless compared to custom conversions
This van was very ugly inside. Also not comfortable at all. I wouldn't pay 50k for it. Let alone 90k. Now if they gave it to me....I would still have alot of alterations before I would even attempt to use it.
For that price it better comes with solar and batteries.
It’s obvious the interior designers of this van (and many others) have never spent one week, month etc. living in an car, suv, van, camper van RV etc.
Its really sad to see how badly designed these $100,000 vehicles are.
I was just thinking. VERY sad for 80 plus, one can make their Own n have more room for way less
I agree they put so much in the bed area but most of the time you don't need that you need space
To avoid the cliche but European mfg's would had a different =more practical than two benches ....and a shitty shower
At that price better to get a full size RV
Camping with white seats dear god
My dad sold these for many years before he died few years ago ☹. Never wanted me to get one due to headache of cost maintenance storage etc.....not to mention Dodge/Ram name was iffy reliability at best...This thing is more like a mortgage on the side of the road!!! Same maintenance as a 🏠 house..
But most people signs now and worry about consequences later. By year 5, this thing will be so under the water.
Yes. This is a huge problem
@@teetrav yep. This is a toy if you can afford the maintenance, fuel, parking…….cost. But for full time living with 20 years payment? Pure insanity.
There are countless van life videos of builds based on this very same/similar vans that are far more feature rich, with generators, batteries AND solar as well as a wet bath. Too much money for too little van here I'm afraid.
I'd way rather get a used Class A than dropping $90K on a van that is incredibly cramped and difficult to use. Look at it another way- at $90K you could stay in a hotel at $275/night for a year.
Then that year would be over and you’d be fucked. But this price point is ridiculous for what you get.
Very nice. Too expensive.
I agree, however current market conditions with demand & inflation gives the manufacturer pricing power

So its N O T even remotely a good $$ deal...GOT 1T!!!
This is tempting but I have concerns, like where to park it year round? Is it compatible to live in during winter? I still need to work full time to pay the monthly payments
I bought a like new Grand Caravan for $17k. Carries plenty of camping gear. Works for me.

Jayco Swift 20T length = 20' 11". That monthly price is for 20 years - just FYI. Compare versus Gulfstream "B Touring Cruiser 5210" (22' 1") $76,978 our best value pick with a somewhat similar floorplan. It is a Class C (B+) Ford E-350 so you will not get as good of gas mileage but for the additional 1' 2" and $12,696 less you get a very superior dry bath (separate shower, solid door), full-size RV refrigerator, superior galley with 3 burners and a double sink, and two jack-knife sofas and a Cummings Onan 4.0 KW generator. Also, as of this writing, there are used units for significantly less like the 2017 in Virginia with 5,345 miles for $59,900. So, if you're serious about camping, this would seem to us the way to go.
Hello! I'm in Virginia and would love to hear more about the deal you mentioned.

I love it definitely would go this route if I decided to do vanlife and travel. I definitely would have a backup plan because I don't know how long that lifestyle would last for me if something broke down or I had to many problems with finding places to stay or camp out or scary situations I would be over it. I think for short term it's a great idea but costly and there's gas, maintenance and other expenses that can occur as you mentioned.
Thank you... definitely need to calculate the costs and consider all factors ✌
It’s a dodge electric and brake issues guaranteed
Don't worry that much! We have been half-timing (6 months per year) since 1995 and have never been in a "scary" situation. If you are traveling as a single woman there are women's caravans that you can join to help relieve anxiety of traveling alone (see Cheap RV Living channel for more information). Full disclosure, we have broken down but never with a "new" rig. The cost is dependent if you are going to live in an RV or be a tourist in an RV. The less distance you drive, the less it costs. Our current monthly cost is about $1500/month including $420 for RV payment and $80 for insurance but not including repairs and maintenance and medical insurance for Vicki.

Way too much for something that DEPRECIATES in value. Van life is about building a van, saving a lot of money, then stepping out. It’s a sacrifice to get to the point where you can live how you want, it’s not the destination. Spending 100k, or being locked into 100k over a 5/7/10 year payment plan, isn’t what any REAL van lifer is trying to do, this is yup status, and anti what its supposed to be.
Honestly that price isn't bad at all. I make that weekly for my third job.
This would be a great seller if it had slide outs on both sides...
I was in the market for rvs prior to 2021. Class B’s always intrigued me but the prices were and are still outrageous. If I had found 1 for this price, I probably would’ve snatched it up. Thank goodness I didn’t though. With skyrocketing prices on everything, I would’ve been in trouble.
i was thinking of getting a camper but don't know what to get. the class B really caught my attention seeing them around some places. i just finally became debt free paying off my house and really don't want to pay such a high price for something like this that cost more than my double wide 25 years ago. several years back pop-up tents were $6000 and now through the roof. but i may just have to settle for a pop up or a regular tent. why pay so much for an rv? it would seem to me that it would be cheaper to get a motel, but i guess that depends on what your lifestyle it too. i look at some of these campers and think, how do people afford these prices. i can't pay $80000 for a pickup just to buy a travel trailer that's high dollar also. i look at them and say, maybe, if i win the lottery, but if i did win the lottery., i could just buy a nice car and just stay in a luxury motel and not worry about pulling something behind me, and that's why i really thought about the class B anyway, not having to pull something behind me. i spend all week pulling something behind me every week driving my 18-wheeler. i am selling my truck anyway and going back to company driving because of high fuel cost and they don't want me to haul their freight for what it should be, the brokers want all of the money and the shippers don't want to pay nothing.
We own this. It rides like a cargo van. Can't do 90mph for sure. Noise throughout when driving. Grossly underpowered. Instrumentation is antiquated just like driving controls. Radio just as bad. Stay far from this until they look at quality and what the buyer wants. All these "It sure is nice" comments really have no idea.
Great design, except the doctors office chairs for a living room.
ALL PRAISE TO THE MOST HIGH YAH👏! IF they called The Master 🤴of the House Beelzebub!🙊 what do you think they will call his servants?🕵
We "full time" in a large diesel 3 slide RV, but also have a 19' Class B for our exploring. We looked at new Class B's but decided it was much smarter to purchase an older, low mileage, used Class B. We found one in the $10k range that has been great and doesn't cost much to maintain or insure.
Was it a private seller? Or a local dealer ?
I am interested in getting more information; what is the year, make and model of your class B ? Please and Thank you
It's not real comparison living alternative between rv van vs studio/rentals $vs$. It's real time if you like these areas of lifestyle.
Mobility, camping, frugal management, non possessions, minimalistic paradigm less -is-more, and connecting to your community peers. Most who live in homes are use to being detached socially where they live. It's mentally healthier when you live rv style mobile that you become open to connecting socially online and locally to others who enjoy this movement.
Better to wait for the all electric. Plus, with this model you are obliged to be at an expensive and crowded campground. With the huge uptick in popularity it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to find spots at campgrounds and prices for campgrounds have gone way up.
better to build a used one for a fraction of the cost
And all electric will most likely cost more than this.
If I was on my last leg I would definitely get this. Because nowadays you can’t afford house /apartment and vehicle it’s one or the other. I rather have the house vehicle you can park this on job lot and live. This is looking more like many of our future unless you go to Ukraine to obtain some of the billions that was sent. So disgusted with this place no home to me.
Better then an apartment In a city #LovingLifeNoww ☯️
I was looking to pay something maybe half that price but the seller that sold me I could swing the 500 I'd like the background those RVs
You can have a large refrigerator if you configure the interior correctly.

Right honestly why bother buying a puny 90k motor home van when you can make your own bigger motor home van for far cheaper
I wish I first thought about this when I first moved to Florida with money and better credit. Shit spiraled to me living in my SUV because the housing market went to ridiculous
Love that lay out for a class B. So much better than shower in the middle, feels much more spacious and means you can easily open back doors to dry it all
Problem is no space for bigger cargo.
Is it weird that I'm making payments on a 18 Corolla that's close to how much this rv is a month??? I want the RV lol
Too bad they used the Promaster as the base. Dodge has a horrible reputation for long term quality.
So it is actually not a Dodge, but a Fiat Ducato rebranded. It is the most widely used chassis for camper vans in the world, especially Europe. Don't know why is get a bad rap, but if it was that bad, it would not be selling so well since 1981.
I just can’t see paying 90 grand. Especially for a dodge. Come on man !#FJB
Price gouge is at least $20k over. The windows design were the biggest mistake! They only open a tiny bit , got no shades? No backrest cushions for lounge/beds!? Tiny fridge, but space for bigger. Microwave should be up top, with more drawers below! Cost cutting, probably gained $5,000 profit on buyers.😆🤦♂️
I disagree. A brand new Promaster without a build-out is already $40-50K. $40k +- for that build-out is not ridiculous.
This looks so cold and un inviting. You really need to learn how to design these for comfort and space.
Can I get it for $475 without a down payment? Thanks 😊
@Kyle Evans Drums thanks.. I will take it if no down payment..
@Kyle Evans Drums still only come to $60k @ 120 months without interest. Don’t see how they get that payment
Can’t figure out how they get that payment, is that with half down?

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. I have a huge 3 level house with big yard , double deck & a balcony that costs less than this. Just build your own truck & convert it....save $$. When things become a trend companies catch on & overcharge every time.
The streets are literally littered with flat screen tvs and UGGs.🍻😂
Maybe an induction stove top instead? Or some cons against that in something like this?
Induction draws so much power. Will kill your batteries and leave you unable to cook unless you have massive solar energy and batteries to store that power.
The only time induction makes sense, is if you're always plugged in to shore power, or always using a generator.
Holy hell this is way over priced! Can build one yourself for half that.
That is a insane cost!
why, what does a new bare-bones (with nav & AC) cost? Probably not much less.
@@thomastuorto9929 Depends on the vehicle. Many older used are below 10k bare.
Just shows your money don't buy shit any more .if that's all you get for your money it's time to get out of the system .
I need this in my life its perfect 😉
too much window cold weather camping would not be fun also creepers can peep to easy.
Really wish there were more amenities for the cabin space. Half of RV'ing is the travel time. Heated/air cooled/ and adjustable seats should be standard at this price point! Curious if induction is an option. Freaks me out to have an open flame inside. =/
Nope. Not for me. Got to have a big refrigerator and oven. Don’t shop at Walmart. Food a lot more
I'm sure happy he explained this so well. I assumed wetbath was a real shower but he said everything gets wet. I didn't know that. Plus I appreciate a brief walk around. Some spend 20 minutes talking about the outside when I really want to see what's inside. Thank you. I do like this vehicle but it seems like it should come with shades. 90 thousand seems reasonable for two people. I would like to visit every state for a week.
Thank you ✌️
It is a nice layout but a couple of things to consider. The passenger seat swivels but not the drivers', so to eat with your spouse, you will have to set up one of the center aisle tables. In explaining the wet bath, he failed to point his camera to the ceiling. We have a small tear drop trailer with a wetbath, but the shower curtain can be pulled around so the only portion of the actual bathroom getting wet is the shower handles. By not seeing the ceiling I can't tell if there is a 360 rail or not. The term self contained in many RVers mind means self contained to include providing your own power. He mentions solar but its unclear what the solar will power. In many rigs, it will provide sufficient power for lights and possibly the fridge. I didn't hear him say whether the fridge was dual power or not; meaning solar, electric, or propane. Pricey for a non 4x4 rig so you'll have to be smart where you park. If you are adventurous, this 2xwheel drive option and not having sufficient solar/battery or an onboard generator probably isn't for you. It comes down to the type of camping someone wants to do. I encourage my friends who want to start RVing, to rent a rig first. Go small, make a multiple stop trip, see how things work. Pulling a trailer has it's advantages - you have a vehicle to go explore, insurance and maintenance is less, but the downside is you are towing.
If I were single it maybe an option since I work remotely anyways. Make it work
NICE VAN! I'M SURE IT IS BETTER
THAN HAVING 2 PAY $1200 A MONTH...THANKS 4 SHARING :-)
GOD BLESS U!!!🙏🏽♥️
No way i would ever pay 90 grand for that large piece of plastic
At 90k you'd be much better off buying a higher end Class C. When I think of Jayco I think of budget models.
I like it but $500/16yrs?!?!?! No, phuck that. I'd rather work 2 full time jobs for a year, pay cash for it, and be on my merry way!
this is the way....
