Cotton is my all time favourite yarn to work with, partly because it's what I started out with. I dislike stretchy yarns, because it just feels like it stretches out of proportion so easily! I mostly use cotton for my projects, be it amigurumi, bags or spring/summer clothes! For autumn/winter clothes, I use merino wool blend (blend because it's not strong on its own) because it can easily get -30°c where I live!
I'd love to hear about alpaca and bamboo, as i have a bff with terrible allergies and she's been stuck with only cotton options, but alpaca and bamboo are vecoming much more affordable! I would love the down low on these fibers that i could make for her! ❤ #LoveMyLionBrand
Hi I shop at second hand stores once in a while and found this yarn. It’s really stretchy . It began twisting on me. I came across your information about the cotton yarn. Can you suggest what to make with the yarn? It’s all in Chinese or something not sure but it’s not English 😊
So even though cotton doesn’t stretch as much, I can still block projects made from 24/7 right? I’m currently making a bag from granny squares and I know that blocking the squares will make sewing them easier.
It depends on what you're making. Scarves, granny squares, toys, mug cozies and coasters can be out of any yarn you want. Dishcloths are best made out of cotton. Many experienced makers prefer using animal fibers (but it can be pricey). Acrylic and polyester, on the other hand, are very affordable and guilt-free in case you decide you don’t enjoy knitting/crochet.
I’ve been crocheting on and off for about 4 years and am making my first cardigan with 24/7 cotton. And let me tell you I AM IN LOVE 😭❤️
I love your 24/7 cotton.
It would be great if you did a video on the different types of cotton and their origins! 🤩🤗💖🧶

Cotton, even rough cotton makes the best blankets, too. Especially if your arthritic like me.😊
I learned about cotton yarn the hard way (it doesn't stretch at all...) 😂

I think I made a mistake buying cotton to make a scarf. It's too tough 🥲
Yeah probably not great for a scarf, but you can still use that yarn to make something else!
Rough cotton will soften after wash.
@@donnasqueaky2 yes but probably not enough to make a super warm cozy scarf, a wool blend or bamboo blend would do better for a scarf
