Just a note for everyone, I watched this movie before Loki Season Two (you can tell my hair is even shorter). At the time, I was concerned I would need to know more about Kang's character going into the second season of Loki. I don't think that really was the case in the end but that was the inital reason. I believe around that time it was still questionable what direction they would go with Kang's character given controversies with the actor whereas now I believe they have shifted away from him being the next "big bad" so to speak. If I seem oblivious to all of this lore, that's because I was and this was recorded a year ago. Also decided to include the Loki teaser briefly at the end even though you've already seen me react to that scene technically because 1) there would be so many comments about me "missing" it and 2) I love Loki and Mobius. I hope you enjoy!
I remember last year how you said you were going to try to get a viewing of this in prior to Loki’s second season. As you say, the concern ended up being relatively unfounded, but better to have and not need than need and not have. Said second season of Loki coming out, yes, at the height of uncertainty of how they’d proceed with Kang, if at all. And yes, they have shifted away from that, and that’s all I’m going to say about it, Jess, as you say you’re behind on some of the MCU news. With that in mind, I’d tread carefully in the comments. As to the Loki and Mobius scene, one, people were confused in the theater, so you had the leg up on some people. Two, I’m not complaining about you expressing love for Mobius especially, as it is delightful seeing you do so.
I have never understood the hatred for this movie. I love it when Marvel flies its freak flag. People tend not to like the funnier weirder movies but this is a work of staggering imagination.
Despite the issues I had with this movie, I absolutely loved Jonathan Major's performance as Kang. He did his best to carry this movie with his acting, despite what he was given to work with
M.O.D.O.K. is definitely one of the weirder, goofier villains from the comics, and making him be Yellowjacket was interesting. Kinda curious what Corey Stoll thought about being transformed into a version of a such a different character to play.
I absolutely loved this movie. Dont know why the hate. Maybe because the story is not that popular, but overall it was fun. I watched it in theatre in 3D so it was extra good 😍
While I did enjoy this movie, it did have some problems. If Janet had just taken an hour to explain her time/experience in The Quantum Realm this whole movie could have been avoided. Also, I actually didn't mind Darren Cross becoming M.O.D.O.K., but his development/redemption felt rushed since he went from a serious threat to a comic relief character to a hero way too quickly. & for a movie called "Ant Man & The Wasp" Hope didn't do that much in it.
Hello 👋 I don't leave a lot of comments on your channel but I love your content and especially seeing your reaction on Doctor Who but I wanted to leave a message about your introduction and saying that I completely understand you bc I do too like or love things that "majority" of people don't like but it doesn't matter bc we do have the right to love what pleases us and if we like it and others don't it's because we feel more concerned by what's happening than other people so I just want to say, don't worry about people, you have the absolute right to love what you want ❤
I will say that I like aspects of this movie, but a good chunk of it rubs me the wrong way. The biggest thing for me was everyone treating Cassie being in jail as just another day and it's perfectly okay, but they dunked on Scott for doing basically the same thing in the previous films. They were both trying to do the right thing and ended up getting in trouble because of it. It felt like a double-standard. I do hope we at least these characters again and hopefully make up for some of the bad.
I'm a 56-year-old #MarvelZombie (what is now known, I think, as a "stan") and I struggle with this film--whether it's good or not. (I don't have that problem with #TheMarvels--I love that film!) I think I would like it better if it had starred the #FantasticFour, since if you swap #Kang with #Annilhus, it's an FF story! LOL!
“The point is, ladies and gentlemen of the Quantum Realm, that ants, for lack of a better word, are good. Ants are right, ants work. Ants clarify, cut through, and capture the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Ants, in all of their forms: ants for life, for money, for love, knowledge, has marked the upward surge of mankind.”
I enjoyed the HELL out of this movie. I was only upset that we didn't get "The Micronauts". That was my first Marvel Comic... and they came from the Microverse and met Ant-Man (Hank Pym Ant Man) and I actually did my Jr. High Science Fair project on ants.... so I wish MCU still had the rights to the Micronauts characters. Anyway... this movie was fun and fantastic!
It really annoys me that Marvel built up Kang as such a cool threat and then-it seems, now-completely abandoned the idea. They recast Bruce Banner and Rhodey and now Thaddeus Ross. As a multiversal character, Kang should have been super easy to recast.
Quantumania was a mixed bag. For us scifi fans who are used to seeing quirky stuff, it isn't too bad but I can certainly understand why mainstream audiences can't handle the amount of time and multiversal funkiness. I can say the same about Agatha All Along. Mainstream audiences are lapping it up as if its the most original and unique story they have ever seen. But for me, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.
I thought this was pretty good. I would have made two changes: leave out MODOK and leave Scott and Hope in the Quantum Realm at the end. I really like Jonathan Majors as an actor. It's a shame Disney had to go in another direction after his personal and legal troubles...
I didn't like this one, but I did enjoy the reaction. Kang should have been in a more serious film, or there should have been serious casualties. I think this loss ruined his momentum.
For clarity on what happened with Jonathan Majors. Jonathan didn’t plead guilty to the 2 serious charges of intentional assault and aggravated harassment. They threw a reckless assault charge on him all because he supposedly hurt her finger to get his phone back. And it isn’t illegal to use force to retrieve your property in NY. And they gave him the harassment charge in the form of a city ticket because he put his attacker back in the car. The civil suit his ex had filed against him was dropped recently too. Regardless of the likelihood of it, I truly wish he could come back as Kang. He’s a phenomenal actor and person

yeah pretty much after the Jonathan Majors controversy, Marvel pivoted to Doctor Doom being the next big bad
This movie was released before Loki: Season 2, so you went in order.
You win the award for liking this movie more than anyone else I've seen. Wish more people saw it your way.
I have never understood the hatred for this movie. I love it when Marvel flies its freak flag. People tend not to like the funnier weirder movies but this is a work of staggering imagination.
Ditto. Well said.
Despite the issues I had with this movie, I absolutely loved Jonathan Major's performance as Kang. He did his best to carry this movie with his acting, despite what he was given to work with
truth
I can't believe that Paul Rudd got his first trilogy 😳. It's about time.
I loved this movie. If I didn't have to be somewhere that day, I was ready to go right back in to the theater and watch it again!
Merry Christmas Jess 🎄🎄🎄🎄. Best Christmas Present Ever.
M.O.D.O.K. is definitely one of the weirder, goofier villains from the comics, and making him be Yellowjacket was interesting. Kinda curious what Corey Stoll thought about being transformed into a version of a such a different character to play.
Hole-y shit. Kang-ry. You are on point with these puns Sesska! I c-ant wait to hear more 😂
Somebody had a hankering for hank the entire film 😂
I absolutely loved this movie. Dont know why the hate. Maybe because the story is not that popular, but overall it was fun. I watched it in theatre in 3D so it was extra good 😍
It’s funny because that probably WAS the last we see if Kang 😅

This was such a fun movie.
Loved this film , I love all marvel and dc , star wars, films and shows so much

Merry Christmas ⛄ Jess
Merry Christmas Eve Jess! ❤️
Don’t worry about the note. I’ve only seen the films, so my knowledge of Marvel (and DC) comes from watching Linkara’s coverage of comic books.
I really hated this film, but glad you enjoyed it and had a great time watching it.
sesska, you have to watch the tv shows, Hawkeye and Ms Marvel , before you watch the movie, the Marvels, which is Captain Marvel 2
She’s already seen-and reacted-to those shows. This video was recorded a while ago.
I know it's first gonna be Christmas in the states tomorrow but where I am from it is right now it today so i wish you all merry whatever celebrate
It was a really fun movie. Most the complaints people have are just dumb. It's just group think telling them it's time to hate.
Yeah I liked the movie, it wasn’t a hit but an enjoyable watch in my book 📕
so close to the marvels !!
The only thing I hate about this movie is Modock's act of redemption.
It really annoys me that Marvel built up Kang as such a cool threat and then-it seems, now-completely abandoned the idea. They recast Bruce Banner and Rhodey and now Thaddeus Ross. As a multiversal character, Kang should have been super easy to recast.
I enjoyed parts of this movie. But I did really like the oozy hole guy.
The only issue I had with this movie was Modok. He was nothing like the comics character. This was a big misstep.
sigh, RIP to the Kang dynasty. Unless Marvel figures it out. Nice vid.

Antman ok to me tbh
