I would contact Milwaukee, something is wrong with your pruner. I have one and it goes through hardwood like butter, mine does not ever sound like the motor is struggling. My wife did not have the strength to use bypass pruners, these are now her favorite garden tool.

You’re not using the tool correctly. You have to have the bottom of the blade in contact with the branch then squeeze the trigger 😊
not sure what’s wrong with your - mine has no problem with size of branch you were cutting.

I would have to go with the ergonomics myself and the fact that I’m not on the DeWalt platform! It’s still not too bad though.
Aren't the specs for a high output battery?
Dewalt also has a hand guard which save me a few times
