Quick note about the two top screws that are already screwed in partially, leave those there. They are there on purpose. If you notice, your door panel is slotted to allow the bolt head through and then you slide or “hang” the regulator frame in place. It makes it easier to line up and install the rest of the bolts. Taking them out adds an unnecessary step, just leave them there, hang it, tighten it down! Thanks for your video, a million times over, it helps give everyone an idea of what they’re in for when they pull that door panel off! 👍👊🔧🚗
Be very careful when you first detach the door panel. That mirror switch is held in there by a cheap plastic adaptor, that can easily be broken. The only way to get another one is to buy a whole new door panel, or 3D print one. The adaptor is held on with four Torx screws. I ended up criss crossing two strips of sheet metal over the bottom of the switch and screwing them in place with those screws. Between those strips of sheet metal, and the broken adapter, the switch is firmly in place.
I wish this last part was slower after you put white insulation sticker back on I thought there was a metal bracket screwed on top of it with a cable that hook to it I didn't see you do it way to fast othier then that good job bro got the most of it
Having a hard time taking off that second clip at the 4 minute 52 second mark of the video (not the clip with the blue lock but the other clip). Can you explain how you removed that clip? Thank you!
The part number he showed 748-974 is a 7 pin connector for windows that auto up and down (where you don’t have to hold the switch to move the window)You can see the controls when he tests the window @20:00. My Cruze LS only has up and down (which is 2 pin)That part number is 751-082.
I'm glad I watch this video as well as 1 or 2 others on here, you showed more issues t5hat can go wrong. Would suction cups be better than the painter's tape? I noticed you had trouble having the regulator grab the window.
2016 Limited has 3 ? PN #'s associated with this job. VIN# is only way to clarify which one is used. Doorman no longer makes the part I needed. Dealer only for $186 + tax as of 2022.
I noticed when I took out my broken regulator there was a lot of residue, I’m assuming some kind of lubricant. Do you recommend adding lubricant to the replacement regulator?
This is literally the easiest car to change a window regulator on. Took 10 minutes to disassemble, and 15 minutes to reassemble. These regulators are garbage, won't last long, but at least they are easy to change.
I used this video to replace my regulator on my front drivers side and after installation my window would only go up half way and won’t go down all the way please help I don’t know how to fix it!
Your going to have to unscrew the bolts holding the window on the track then raise the window by pulling it up with your hand then tape it to hold it up

Amazing video, I only had to watch it once to learn everything I needed, and changed mine in 45 minutes. thanks man!
This was so helpful brother, it took me less than an hour to install my window regulator for the driver site Side… I really appreciate it
thanks
You’re a bad liar

Great video! Best one I’ve seen especially since you didn’t edit the window being taken out.

Great Video. I need to do this to my Cruze. I would think a 2015 is the same process as the 2012. I hope anyways. Thanks!
It's the same good luck
My 2012 Chevy Cruze LS has a different type of plug in regulator. When I tried new replacement it did not work?
So I just swapped out the new regulator motor with my old one (which had the right connector) and problem solved.Thank you for the video-great help!

Hi, question how many pins the Chevrolet cruze 2012? is it 2pins or 7 pins connector? TIA

Probably I use what I had thanks for watching
hi how many pins? is it 2 pins or 7 pins terminal connector for chevrolet cruze window?

no need to i didnt
Thanks!
Very well done
Can anyone help me window works fine when car is off but when running it won't work the driver side
Mine is already down how to bring it up. Should I try to push it up by hand after opening the door cover?
yes you can loosen it up and pull it up by hand

Nice video man very informative and helpful. What a pain in the
A$$ this is though 😂
yes it is
My broken plastic tab was repaired with super glue and baking soda, I’ll see how long it last
lol
I did just that lol so far so good eventually ill replace it but it started to rain so i had to do something quick
great instructions, too many annoying ads.
sorry thats not my fault wish they would pay me for ads lol
How long it took and total to do this
so i rolled my passenger window down last night and now it wont go up but i could hear the window motor working. did my window fall off track? Thanks.
Sounds like it
Do hear anything when you try to raise it
@@crgarage1229 yes just the motor
Probably just came off track you would have to take the panel off and check
@@crgarage1229 I think something broke because I see plastic pieces at the bottom in the door panel
I used this video to replace my regulator on my front drivers side and after installation my window would only go up half way and won’t go down all the way please help I don’t know how to fix it!
It may be where the window attaches try loosen the window and bring the motor down or up then attach the window
From where can I order it?
i think i got mine from amazon
Is it normal for the new motor to be louder? It’s loud when it goes up. Did I do something wrong?
Not sure what brand motor did you get
Did you put the plastic paper back on? Leaving it off makes it seem louder.
0:34 can someone tell me what that piece is called?
Can someone please tell me the specifics of the tools I would need??
T20 toque bit and a 10mm ratchet
@@crgarage1229 I can’t get the window up, I was able to remove the panel and got the cover off but the glass is stuck
Your going to have to unscrew the bolts holding the window on the track then raise the window by pulling it up with your hand then tape it to hold it up
When you were doing this, did you happen to see an impact sensors in the door anywhere?
No i did not sorry
@@crgarage1229 Thats good though. Thankyou
Good video, awful sound. Cannot hear you, however all the ambient noise is deafening.
Thanks appreciate the feedback 👍
