  • Wow! Haibo Arise Air BFS Reel ..... Mavllos Plume BFS rod
    Haibo Arise Air, BFS fishing reel out for a cast paired with my Mavllos Plume C602UL BFS fishing rod. I already love the rod but the reel was an absolute joy to cast. The Haibo or should i say Ark Gravity BFS reel!!! Whichever version you have i think you will be very impressed with this Bait Finesse Reel.

    Hi Adrian, how much do you feel the rod was helping with casting the trout magnet. I know from personal experience that I can cast very light lures on my TSU Elf compared to other rods with the same reel/line etc.

      The rod is definitely helping. I have other trout rods and it is not as easy to do with them.

    I’m impressed with the spin version of this rod paired with a vanford 500, it’s very capable and the light weight adds nicely to its performance! It’s not quite as good for distance and accuracy at distance than my own custom rod but it’s definitely lighter! Now after seeing the bait cast version I’m going to need it too! It’s going to be stripped and it’ll get a set of titanium fuji guide’s! They are around $110 here in oz! even spending extra on guides it’ll still be good value! Only thing I don’t like but shouldn’t really be an issue is the tip section is separate from the blank and it’s added in.edit I meant the plume is $110 not the guide’s

      Sounds like a plan. I’d add an extra guide or two. It’s a great blank but the reel seat is also a bit cheap. Good luck let us know how you get on.

    Man this rod os impressive. Seems to bridge the gap between UL BFS and "power BFS"....seems very versatile. Im more of an ajing fisherman than antrout fisherman. I think i will get this rod next

      That’s what it designed for. I wouldn’t be dragging baits along the bottom with it due to it’s fine tip, but up in the water with small metals and soft plastics it will be ideal.

      @@TheConstantAngler I'm just getting into BFS...well only a few months in. I'm mostly an ultralight angler that's starting to replace alot of what tackle I would usually use for BFS. The 2 BFS rods I have now are more trout rods with slower tapers. I did order a couple more last night though. Including the mavllos glorious

    I may have missed you mentioning this, but how does this rod do with heavier lures. I’m interested in this rod, but the stated range of 0.6-8g seems generous in reference towards the heavier weights. Thanks!

      It’s not bad. I don’t think I would be using it for jerkbaits but it will throw heavier lures. I did a video which shows me throwing heavier luresua-cam.com/video/9_lH1rDCL94/v-deo.htmlsi=G1pRUAIqR9wpBqTD

      1/4 is really the max this rod does, you can push it to 3/8 but its very noticeable and you get no extra distance and you have to really cant whip it with that weight more of a soft lob. buy a heavier rod not a UUL bfs type. it literally says what it can throw.

    How is this combo holding up? I was looking at this combo for fishing UL and sub UL plastics.

    • @TheConstantAngler
      @TheConstantAngler  6 місяців тому +1

      Great mate. Love the reel and although the rod could do with a couple more eyes if fishing UL and sub UL for smaller fish it makes no difference. Easy to load the tip but the rod has a surprising amount of power in the butt.

      @@TheConstantAngler Do you have any recommendations for sub UL and UL that could perform better than the Plume? I still wanted to stay in the budget options and have something with some fast action.

      @@noobpyrotech9991 not used it myself but I think the PureLure Zero might be worth a look. Not sure if you are in my Facebook group “BFS Finesse Fishing” but it would be a great question to ask in there. It very much depends on what length rod you want etc.

    The rod seems to havw a veey fast taper. Would you say its a fast action with alot of backbone?

    • @TheConstantAngler
      @TheConstantAngler  Рік тому

      It’s a strange one. It’s progressive more than fast for the first 2/3rds of the blank but then it also has a decent amount of backbone.
