When I first received my 560S, they too had a slight imbalance (to the right), but strangely only some of the time, which was bugging the hell out of me. After some fiddling around, I solved the problem by adjusting the cup's position over my left ear. I wonder if this has to do with the angled drivers being more sensitive to positioning.
I think this might be the reason. I've had issues with that with my 598, which uses a similar chassis. Also sometimes, if the cable isn't in 100% correct it sounds wierd.
Yup, the 560's are extremely sensitive to head positioning. I've found the staging and tone shifts entirely when I move mine. I've taken to pushing the cups forwards slightly so I can just feel the back edge of the pads touch the back edge of my ear lobes. Stage widens more convincingly and the top end comes down a tad. When my ears are dead centre.. I get a brighter listen. Xx

I miss you bro. I was one of your originals… (I’ve seen your son grow up over the years too!) Your “ear” has gotten better; and your analytical techniques keep evolving and improving. I hate the negative comments, and the UA-cam issues too. Thank you bro!
560s has unusual clarity if you come from other 500s and even 600s - just the veil is missing. And that plus the big detail makes you feel strange at first but soon you understand how good is the 560s.
The best headphone reviewer I've found on UA-cam. Oluv lets us hear (more or less, given UA-cam compression) what he hears. Fantastic. For instance, in this video you can easily hear the brightness of the 560s. Many thanks for your efforts, Oluv.
Pretty much experienced the same, the 58X are smoother and a bit meatier but have a slightly lower resolution (with the AKG felt mod they are closer in timbre to the 560S). The 560S lack body and heft to the sound, great headphones but they're not ideal for every genre, just like the Sivga Phoenix, which sometimes tend to sound muddy und cramped.
I can be wrong and I'm a noob but for me the HD58x appeared a bit less veiled when you switched amps. Sound sample at 8:17 seems better than from 8:32. And yes i also felt that 560s got a bit tamed when amps were switched. Also, 58x have a higher impedance 150 ohm than the 560s 120 ohms. My 58x sound way less veiled when listening to the audio sample (The Distance).
always, the best headphones/speaker reviewer. I have the jubilees because of you now im doubting about them XD. Please make a review of the Ollo Audio SX4, they promise to be the flattest of all around 400-500€
The HD560S is a high-end headphone. No doubts about that. Only a slight adjustment in the treble (4500 Hz; -2; 5650 Hz; -1.5) and in the bass/lower mids (50 Hz; +2; 70 Hz; +2; 250 Hz; +2) and the sound is perfect (the harshness of the treble is gone and the sound gains a necessary bit of warmth without sacrificing any clarity).
I love oluv walkthrough... is like watching Tony Stark analyzing and tinkering headphones. The Drop Sennheisers really do sound bit muddy. Specially on the upper vocal range. Its kinda easy to see if headphones are muddy on the upper mids/ lower treble or not to listen something that has veritale female vocals like this track on the video.
I absolutely hear the “veil”. When I asked the internet (i.e. reddit) for advice, I got shit on. I thought it was me, so I tried listening for 3 months straight, using only the 58X as my daily. I got used to it, like my brain adjusted, but I still hear the treble roll off. Maybe I’m old and I have trouble hearing higher frequencies? Anyways, any recommendations for a person who hears the Sennheiser “veil” and wants something that counters that? Where would you put your money with a roughly $200 budget? Are the non-Drop Senn’s not muddy?
@@hankpank2906 I know this is a late reply, but the 560s is definitely not muddy, and sounds almost nothing like the 58x at all. Its the only Senn Ive heard that sounds this clear (maybe the HD800 series beats it, never tried). Anyway, Im on my own journey looking for a really clear headphone besides my 560s. Might try the DT 1990 Pro or the AKG K712 Pro, but not sure. Was gonna try the Focal Elex, but the QC issues make me wary and a little sad :/
From someone with a 58x listening to this from a Moondrop Blessing 2: -The 58x sounds warmer and muddier on Oluv's recording than in real life. -The 560s sounds a bit shrill and sibilant on the top end. The bass and mids sounds neutral So overall Oluv's 560s recording sounds nicer than the 58x recordings through the B2s (but a bit shrill and sibilant). In real life I would say the bass and mid of the 560s recording is more similar to what the 58x sounds in real life. @@deafno So would you recommend the 560’s for mixing and mastering hip hop vocals at home? Would they translate to other systems using sonar works ?
Love my DT990s. Which "opposite" or "complementary" headphone should i get? I mean relaxing, vocal and warm.
Maybe sennheiser 58x or 6xx
6xx for sure
I can completely understand the frustration with UA-cam. Also I have to say I love how you try and compare the headphones, not sure how you do it other then what appears to be in ear mics but it works. Thanks for your opinion on the new 560s headphones.
please can you give me the two EQ settings of anker Soundcore rave neo
Finally. We can truly find out if all the hype is real or not
@Blue lol
would you recommend anything better for 150€?
how much potential can I unlock from those 560S's with my apple lightning dongle?
love the honest reaction by the way. it's crazy how boomey those make the 58x's sound
I miss you bro. I was one of your originals… (I’ve seen your son grow up over the years too!) Your “ear” has gotten better; and your analytical techniques keep evolving and improving. I hate the negative comments, and the UA-cam issues too. Thank you bro!
Looking to buy these or the 599 for gaming and listening to music. Any thoughts?
try to found PX/PMX 95 on the flea market, much better than these ones
560s has unusual clarity if you come from other 500s and even 600s - just the veil is missing. And that plus the big detail makes you feel strange at first but soon you understand how good is the 560s.
It’s just a peak
The best headphone reviewer I've found on UA-cam. Oluv lets us hear (more or less, given UA-cam compression) what he hears. Fantastic. For instance, in this video you can easily hear the brightness of the 560s. Many thanks for your efforts, Oluv.
Waz good! The best audio entertainment channel!! 😁💯🔥
Great Review. A couple of years old at this point but does anyone know the name of the first track played? I couldn't make out the name.
I love my Sennheiser 4.50! Great sound quality!
Yes, they are a bit too hollow
I love love love your taste in music. Do you have a playlist public anywhere?
Wait how is the 560S compared to the 6xx
brighter, lower res going by his recordings with shallower soundstage
Guys, what is the name of the track at 14:45?
Nora Van Elken - Interstellar
Nice As always, soon i’ll subscribe to patreon to follow your reviews. I Hope you’ll try the Xtreme 3, but i don’t expect huge improvements
Vs HE400SE?
can you make a review of sony wh1000xm4 wireless noise cancelling headphones
Keep up the good work!
Olav is back in Business. the most uncompromising 🥊
This guy is so grumpy that when he says that something is good I go straight to the shop and buy it...no question. 😄
The amps were definitely a factor.
It's just a volume difference. If you made the volumes equal the sounds would have been the same.
always, the best headphones/speaker reviewer.
Hi Rafal I'm new to music. How can I make this adjustment you said in comment? I need a software or something?
What are these numbers ? Do we adjust it to these so the headphones will be neutral ?
yeah, it's SO high-end you have to turn-down down the high-end!!... that makes sense!! 😜
honestly the 500 range are all over-hyped garbage!!
I love oluv walkthrough... is like watching Tony Stark analyzing and tinkering headphones.
Honestly you can easily spent thousands by being mislead for "influencers", instead paying very affordable contribution to unbias, honest and accurate review from an expert who share its criteria and walk-through given you actual evidence.. said: it is a bargain. Count me in Mr. Oluv.
Thank you again Oluv
Great content. Subbed
Why do you say the cable is not detachable? It is. Did you get a pre production model?
The website also says detachable cable 🤷🏽♂️
It is detachable, he just didn't twist it to unlock it.
@@Taffy84 thanks
People who make money with Patreon usually use UA-cam to advertise their stuff. Like, releasing highlights or shortened videos. Or they can also provide additional non-video content worth paying.
BT 1770 Pro or HD 560S?
How these compare to 599?
I'm wondering the same thing

Same 🤔

From someone with a 58x listening to this from a Moondrop Blessing 2:
-The 58x sounds warmer and muddier on Oluv's recording than in real life.
-The 560s sounds a bit shrill and sibilant on the top end. The bass and mids sounds neutral
So overall Oluv's 560s recording sounds nicer than the 58x recordings through the B2s (but a bit shrill and sibilant). In real life I would say the bass and mid of the 560s recording is more similar to what the 58x sounds in real life.
ALSO recommend checking his 58x vs. 600 video for more context to the comparison in this video. ua-cam.com/video/kdNgbkPDujw/v-deo.html
Track list?
Oluv you are I guess sensitive for high frequency or I cant hear that harshness of 560 on my headphones, they are definitely brighter than jubilee
Hi does the 560s need a dac/amp?
Yes
the HD600 are better?
Incredible recordings.
Are the things in your ears not interfering with the headphones?
These are the microphones or how do you think I recorded the headphone audio?
@@oluvsgadgets correct, but do they impede on what they sound like to you? It would be like listening with earplugs no?
@@Jack-oc2fc I don’t remember which ones I was using here but my current ones are open and hardly alter the sound I am hearing. Just a slight coloration in treble but it still lets me judge the sound quite well.
@@oluvsgadgets ok thanks, good to know.
@@oluvsgadgets why not evaluate the sound first, without the headphones. Then record with the microphones after?

Taking off the back of the 58x may actually cause the extra boom. The back hole of the driver needs some resistance for bass control
yes the 58x sound muddy... used to own one .... sold it recently
Hey, could you do a feature of the Philips Tx1 in-ear? It's quite old, but I've been hearing word here in my country that it's the best value earphones for the money ($30~range) in the whole country, but I've never seen people review them in the same way and quality that you do your reviews. I think they are unique in that they have larger than usual drivers inside the buds for earphones, but then it tapers into a normal sized tip still making them like regular in-ear earphones. I would love to watch you review them because you do a great job when it comes to these listening devices.
