We have access to Learning Ally and about 95% of the books are on there. It's been fantastic that my children with learning disabilities have a literature based curriculum within access. Thanks for the review!!
Thanks as always for yet another thoughtful and detailed video! Do I remember hearing on another video that you are planning to use one of the Woke Homeschooling US History curriculums next year? If so, can you give your opinion on whether the curriculum gives enough attention to not just AA history, but also to other under represented groups as well (Native American, Hispanic, Asian, etc.)? We will be using Core Knowledge H&G next year as our spine, but I want to incorporate other perspectives to create a more accurate account of history in the units CK will be covering and wondering if adding WOKE might be able to do that. Thanks again!
Thanks! Yes I plan on using Oh Freedom U.S. History next year, both the K-2nd grade and 3rd-7th grade editions. I have not used the curriculum yet, but what I can see from the table of contents it covers native cultures, women’s rights, Chinese immigration, Japanese immigration, Holocaust, Vietnam war, etc…so it definitely seems to cover multiple perspectives in U.S. history. I actually plan on using Oh Freedom next year and then using CK U.S history the following year. My original plan was to use them simultaneously, but after looking thru the 7th grade U.S. History unit from CK it seems like it would be overwhelming for my going to be 5th grader and Oh Freedom is very book heavy.

That’s awesome you have access to the majority of the books!
Thanks! There really aren't enough reviews of upper levels. Torchlight 5 was amazing for us!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on level 5! I really look forward to using more levels.
Thanks for sharing! We'll be trying Torchlight for the first time this coming school year.
I hope it goes well for you!

Hi, I am new to homeschooling and am considering Torchlight for my 9 year old. How would I find the book list before we begin using?
On the website if you click on a level and scroll down to the bottom there is a booklist. It breaks down each book needed by subject area
Is this Christian ?
Torchlight is a secular curriculum.
It’s secular. I so very rarely use any religious based curriculum that I forgot to mention that.
