Wow, all that stitching wonderful.l love seeing the progress on all projects but especially the larger projects such as nativity and by the bay. I have more larger projects which I have learnt through watching flosstube and yourself to vary and that has really helped me over the last couple of years. I am going to continue stitching on my polar plunge projects along with A Celtic Christmas. Until next time xxx
Sharon, I am thinking I may pick back up my By the Bay piece today and make some more progress on it. It is so close now to a finish I am feeling the itch to keep working on it until it is done. Who knows.....Dena
Hi Dena Love all of your Projects. Nativity is just coming along beautiful. Wow. This is just gorgeous. You are really coming along on this. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🙏☕️🧵🪡🧵✂️🐾🐶🐾❤️
Hi Dena. Thank you so much for sharing all your stitching and congratulations on your finish and meeting your June goals. I love challenges too. I’m definitely joining you with Christmas in July and have my basket of WIPs ready and have managed to fit them into my acrostics- some imagination was required 😁. I also have a couple of SAL’s that are starting in July so I will fit them in too. Happy stitching and thanks again. Hi Cocoa 🐩 x
Susan, so happy you are joining me in Christmas in July stitching! It will be a bit of a challenge for me as I have two retreats in July also. But I will have my Christmas WIPs with me to stitch. Dena
Hello Dena...love everything you shared..you are an amazing person...congratulations on the goals you met...the bunnies are adorable.. Cocoa is a very intelligent puppy...best wishes❤❤
Thanks Angela for the enthusiasm in your response. I appreciate your congrats on my goal attainment. Now getting ready for Christmas in July stitching! Dena
Another great video! Thanks for sharing your stitching and for the motivation you give! Adding in new projects is never a bad thing! You can't finish what you don't start!!! 😉 See you soon! ((hugs)) 🙂
Karla, so happy you were able to check out this latest video. You are so right, I cannot possibly finish any of these lovely patterns as long as they are waiting, not started, in my stash. LOLOLOL. Thank you dear friend for your support! Dena
Oh My!! You are stitching to beat the band! When you showed 13th Colony, I gasped out loud! It is gorgeous!! I'm looking forward to stitching with you soon. ❤
Hello Dena, another fantastic video. You've gotten so much done. I love your progress on By The Bay piece. It's just amazing. I look forward to your next video. Have a wonderful week.
Nickie, thanks so much for the encouragement! I have had a great start to June and hope that the remainder of the month is equally exciting. Hope you are having fun stitching! Dena
Thanks so much Linda for the congrats on meeting my June goals. I am having a great stitching month this month. I hope to second half is as productive as the first half was for me. Happy Stitching! Dena
Hi Dena. It is so very nice to visit with you today. My but you have been a busy little stitcher. Everything looks beautiful. I especially love your 13th Colony and I am excited to see it finished and framed. The Cubby Bee and the bunnies you finished are precious too. Thanks for sharing Cocoa. I am really looking forward to see what you stitch and finish for u Christmas in July. I am going to participate in Christmas in July too. I have two that are almost done. I have several others kitted that I could start. I hope you enjoy your upcoming retreats and get lots of stitching time. Take care.
Crystal, I am so delighted you are going to do the Christmas in July with me. I hope you get to finish your two that are close to finishes and that you start all the other Christmas projects you want to start! I am so excited for July stitching. Dena
Your By The Bay is fantastic. Don't know how helpful this is but I often make a paper template, just out of scrap paper, using the Cross stitch calculator, of the actual stitch dimensions. This helps me position the stitching properly so I'm not too close. It also saves me from a lot of counting.
Great suggestion about the paper template. I have plenty of room on this fabric for By the Bay, but I will keep that in mind going forward. I appreciate your sharing! Dena
Dena, hi ! You may already know this little tip. But on the bunny cross stitch add some cotton strips to the four sides of cross stitch fabric, it will then fit easier in the qsnap. Remove the strips when you finish your bunnies! Donia. CoCo Chanel says hi to your Coco!
Donia, I have heard about adding the fabric, but I was able to complete it with it in the q-snap so that worked out okay. Please tell CoCo Chanel hello back from Cocoa! Happy Stitching! Dena
Hello Dena. You sure can get stitching down. My time will come when I am done caring for my parents whom both have altimizers. I get to spend many days each week with them and nights. We are making more memories just in a different way. Happy stitching.
Awesome projects and you are making great progress. You sure have fun on zoom. I have never used it. Give Cocoa some snuggles from me. She is so cute. Happy stitchng
Linda, thanks for stopping by and visiting with me and Cocoa. I do enjoy the Zoom stitching. It allows me to keep up with friends that live far away. Cocoa sends her love. Dena
Hi Dena, Great seeing all your progress! You and I are similar in that we're always planning - whether it's the next pattern or what we're going to do the next month or the next year! Until our next zoom - Happy stitching! Lori
Lori, it is so true, you and I do plan very much alike. I have set another goal for myself for June and am working hard on accomplishing that goal now. I still have some acrostic stitching to do which will carry me to the end of the month after I hit this goal so I am a happy girl. Looking forward to our next chat and planning session. Dena
Hi Dena love your finish on Chubby bee it is adorable and all you WIP's. I went into my stash today and picked out Christmas projects that I want to do and I am anxious to start on them in July. July is a special month for me because July 2nd is my Anniversary of 52 years and my birthday is July 27th and I will be 72 years. Dena where does the time go! I have been also working on the 38 projects that I kitted up this year. I think I will have maybe have about 45 including my July Christmas projects that I will be starting (Whew) but I am having fun and enjoying it! I am still losing weight I did weigh about 150/155 lbs and I am down to 129 Ibs and still plugging away at it. My stitching helps me a lot. I love seeing Cocoa enjoying herself at Freds house. In the meantime Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless Pat
Pat, first congrats on the weight loss. It is hard and you are doing such a wonderful job with it. Second, I am so excited for you to be kitting up Christmas projects for our Christmas in July stitching! July is a special month for you so Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday early! I had another finish last night so I am now down to 17 or 18 WIPs. I need to count again. LOL. Dena
Hey Dena.....you had me laughing today. It is not often you hear "I am in love with this guys pants!" coming at you from a floss tube. Congrats on finishing it. Looks like everything is really coming along nicely on your other projects as well. I finished my big project from Rosewood manor. It will have to wait to be framed until September as my framer is away for a few months. Havent decided on my next large projects. Right now I am working on some Christmas smalls. Have a great week! Cindy
Cindy, you are so right. That was an unusual statement to be coming from a flosstube! So happy it made you laugh. Congratulations on finishing your Rosewood Manor! I have just kitted up a new large Rosewood Manor for the near future. Possibly my birthday start this year. Haven't fully decided. Dena
Hello Dena love Chubby Bee. So disappointing when the frog comes to visit. Such a joy seeing your progress on the WIPS. Spring awakens is so cute cannot wait to see the ffo. Happy stitching
Hi! Just home from our daughter’s. Great to see you! Everything is so pretty and wow that is a lot of by the bay. Love that pattern. I may start the new baby’s stocking but am still doing totem. Oh you have done so much this yr already! I am going to bed now. See you next time!
Cindy, I am so glad you got to visit your daughter and the grands! I have gotten a lot of goals met this June. Getting ready for nothing but Christmas in July for next month. Hope you have a great day today. Dena
Wow!! You did some stitching this month!! Congratulations on all your accomplishments. I want to be your friend and come stitch with you!! Love your videos!
Come on over! I am working hard on another goal I set for myself after my last goal was finished. I seem to do much better when I have a goal I am working to accomplish. Dena
Ines, Cocoa sends her love. Tomorrow we take her to get her nails trimmed so she won't be happy with me, but it is past due. Thanks so much for the kind words regarding my stitching. Dena
Thank you for your video. You got me motivated to kit up a chart I recently got. I got the floss so i am putting them on floss drops. It makes it easier. I like the friends chart you got. I also like the hearts ❤️ one. Have a great week.
Kathyn, so happy you are motivated to kit up your chart. Well, I really thought the friends chart would make a great gift for an exchange. Hope you have a new start this week! Dena
Dena - Congrats on finishing all of your June goals; I knew you could do it! I'm planning to do Christmas in July with you. I have four Christmas/winter WIPs I'd like to make some progress on, so I think I'm going to work on one each full week. Happy stitching! - TaMara
You can do it! I am delighted you are joining me! Thanks so much for the congrats on finishing my June goals. Looking forward to July stitching with you. Dena
Hi Dena. I just finalized my plans for Christmas in July. I’m putting all Christmas wips on my monthly magazine challenge and then I created a spin wheel with all of my Christmas wips and will spin everyday to see what to stitch on. It should be fun and I think I’ll get some things done for sure.
Patty, sounds like a great plan! I am trying to stitch at least two days on all my Christmas Wips, but I have to plan them since I will be out of town a couple of times in July. I need to take the smaller ones with me when I travel and work on the larger ones on Rolaframes while I am at home. Made it a bit of a challenge but I think I have it figured out. Dena
Boy I am so very far behind. Congrats on your goals for June. I did Christmas in July and stitched and finished 4 pieces, now to fully finish them. Happy stitching Patty
Marysa, your Cubby Bee was so cute when we shared our finishes! I hope you have been having a great time with your son. Let me know when you are home and can stitch and chat again! Dena
Thanks for providing these videos. I enjoy them. I happened to run across the nativity pattern. I’m not going to be stitching it but wondered if you wanted it as a giveaway or to give to someone you know who would like it.
Kay, how thoughtful of you. I would be very happy to gift it away on my channel so please email me letting me know you are trying to send the pattern to me and I can email you my mailing address. Thanks! Dena
I'll be joining you for Christmas in July, well sort of. I will be working on the Mill Hill Nativity kits that came out around 2010 or so. There are 9 of them, and i will be stitching them on fabric and turning each figure into a stand up with plans for a full Nativity scene eventually for my grandchildren. This year i plan to complete Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus, and over the next 2 years I'll add in the Angel, the Wise Men, and the shepherds. That 13th colony is an interesting stylized landscape, is it supposed to be Georgia since we are the 13th colony?
Melanie, I had not thought about it being Georgia, but I think you must be correct in that. It looks like GA to me and I think that is why I gravitated to this piece. Dena
Why am I not surprised that you have met your June goals with two weeks to spare???😂😂😂 Again, I enjoyed our visit last week. BTW...you're not just a cross stitch enabler...my new air fryer just arrived 😊😊😊 PS Does Tommy know your feelings about the guy's pants in Spring Awakens???😂
Melodee, I have not shared with Tommy how much I like the little Bunny's pants. I am afraid he might look for a pair. LOLOL. I hope you enjoy your air fryer. I have created a new secret goal for myself for the remainder of the month. More to come.....Dena
Hey Dina, thank you for another great video. Would swapping out the beads in Haunted House for glow in the dark thread make it less frustrating for you?
Ruth, I think I have decided to simply finish the cross stitches, then when it comes to beads to just use what fits and not worry about the number being the same as the pattern. I also in a few places where I know the beads are particularly large, I left one extra strand of fabric fiber between the stitches to make room for the bead. Making a three strand space on purpose was a bit radical but I think it will work. We shall see....Dena
Regina, I use Rolaframe scroll rods or q-snaps and my floor stand is an Elan floor stand. You can find it under Artisan Designs, Inc. Hope this helps. Dena
Dena great job completing your June goals 🎉🎉 Can't wait to see your new starts. Enjoy your stitching this week 😊
Thank you! You too! Dena
