funny thing is at 3:07 you can tell they filmed this on such a bad day because they needed to put a blue tint over the top of the video, this laps over the guys fingers and later in his hair.
I grew up in the 90s and this video still brings a tear to my eye with how authentic it is to what Britain was like. Every class you went to the teacher would be like, "Parklife" and look like Damon Albarn. Then after school you'd dance in the street, chase the ice cream van and fuck up Phil Daniel's car. Well mint memories.
Great voiceover by the great Phil Daniels. Love this Blur classic, which rings true since my bin collection is Wednesdays which unfortunately i sometimes do get rudely awakened by the dustman. I even sometimes feed the pigeons and sparrows too.
I've recently invested in life insurance, which has made me reflect on death and the irony of life. I was thinking, if there was one track I'd like to be played at my funeral, I think it would be this. It would definitely cheer everyone up while I was taken to my final resting place. God I love this song. It's things like this that makes it feel good to be alive.
I have a Blur alarm clock, which wakes me every morning to the sound of Parklife,
except on Wednesdays, when I get rudely awakened by the dustmen.

Fun challenge: when someone is telling you about their week just randomly say "parklife"
Mate, i see you everywhere. Are you ok? Do you have a life?
+that's a lemon if you see me everywhere, then I must ask you the same question. And whereabouts do you see me? Nice picture by the way.

As much as I like gorillaz, blur will always be Damon’s best work in my opinion
Damon was only a quarter of the band though.
@@mergieismoronic I know, I was just saying across the band, so everyone included
I disagree for me it goes
1. Gorrilaz
2. The good the bad and the queen
3. Blur
(There all extremely good and could put one above the other deepending on how I'm feeling+I respect your opinion)
I'm not sure...I love all his stuff.
Nah I prefer Gorillaz
Blur has the most eccentric music videos and I love it

Memories of summer 1996 for me. Music is such a powerful tool for nostalgia. It's like feeling good just for thinking about it.
This was 1994.
@Jeff Oliver. Yes, released in 1994 but musical memories and nostalgia are personal as well. It could be a song from any era that will always remind you of the time it was important to you. That is the power of music.

Always said this song was a zeitgeist of the impeding Cool Britannia era in the mid 90s. It captured a fun energy that was sorely needed after grunge wore out its welcome with music fans.

You merely adopted the Parklife. I was born into it, moulded by it.
*molded, mould is that green shit ya get on bread
*This song is one of THE GREATEST SONGS OF ALL TIME, the video is amazing, this band is amazing, and every single thing about it is amazing*
funny thing is at 3:07 you can tell they filmed this on such a bad day because they needed to put a blue tint over the top of the video, this laps over the guys fingers and later in his hair.
Well this was probably done in the UK so it would make sense
This video is so British that my house is now part of the U.K.

Welcome to the Empire ❤️

Now over 1,000.

Phil Daniels on this track is pure gold!!!
Helen Hancock everyone should make a funeral playlist
