It's more of an insult to the genre if anything having corny egirls dance to deftones music for engagement on tiktok even if it made the genre relevant again

I agree, I can definitely hear that. Is it really that odd though? I personally have felt like Adam Gontier (at one point) could've made a solid nü-metal frontman. Unfortunately, that never happened. They definitely had some nü undertones on their self-titled debut record though. Especially on the song "Scared" and "Home".
