    Other options cause this does take a long while to dry out is clear gel candle wax I'll be making a video on that soon on how to.

    I want to make a root beer float and was wondering if I could use the clear glue instead of epoxy. I wonder which would be better to use. Thanks for the video.❤

    16:04 These look delicious! I just have a suggestion for you. Cut the straw to the right length ahead of time before you add it to the drink. Then put the cut end into the glass, and have the nice end showing. 😊 Are you using just clear glue, or resin? The beginning of the video seems to be missing.

      Hello friend, thanks for watching a pop-up right in the beginning of the video that says I'm using clear Elmer's glue.{ my voice was cut off when I said what I was using sorry so i added a text in }This does work, but the glue is water-based and evaporates some. This is for people who don't want to use resin or just can't afford to go that route. Thanks for the suggestions 😊 1st time doing this and even after putting the cut end in the straw was way too long with the ice and fruit. Have a wonderful day 😊 sending crafting hugs 🤗 Happy crafting 😃

      Thank you! ❤️ I'm not really sure it's been in my craft room in my basement since I did the video, and I haven't been back down there since. So I'm not sure how long, sorry. When I do my next 1, I'll make sure I do a curing test. I'm thinking of using my dehydrator only due to paper straw. I'm afraid oven on low will burn the straw since I didn't use a plastic one, and the fruit ( cherries) is a thin plastic over Styrofoam, so don't think oven a good idea. It's warm out, so I might just test outside covered up in a plastic container so no dust and bugs can get in. I'll make sure I update in comments... again, I'm so sorry I'm injured right now and having a back surgery on Monday. This was my 1st time doing this project, and it was a last min decision due to resin cost so much, and i didn't want to waste so much on a drink when i could make other things. I wanted a low-cost, effective way of doing it and a way everyone can do it on a tight budget since the dollar tree sells clear glue, and I've seen it done by other youtubers. Now, I didn't use DT glue. I used Elmer's glue since I bought it in bulk off Amazon it's cheaper and lasts me a very long time. My last bottle lasted over 25 yrs that I got when my kids were in elementary school, and now I have grandkids, so that tells you how long. But with using this method and using it for diy clay , this gallon bottle will also go quicker. I'm addicted to the drinks and the clay, best clay I've ever used , and when I did the clay, I did cure in oven on low. So, I'll be trying many more DIY drinks as soon as I recover. So inconclusion I will update this question in my comments cause I want to be able to answer your question, and plus I'm curious now and I'm sure many people would want the same answer. I'll probably test both theories outside in warm weather and dehydrator, maybe oven. Also, without a straw and push fruit under the glue completely, I have many little shot glasses to try this test. I want to be able to give a true test on this theory in many ways. I might even do a video on all 3 theories and see which 1 is the best. So hit that bell 🔔 so you're notified when videos uploaded.

    How do you get the glue to dry

      Let it air dry

      @DonnasCreationsandMore that is how I do mine but it's taking well over a month and still not solid. Did you have any evaporate??

    • @DonnasCreationsandMore
      @DonnasCreationsandMore  5 місяців тому +1

      @MrsOx-jz9fg yes some evaporated, but it's solid. I have no clue how long it took mine to dry. I was injured at the time, and it was in a cold basement with no heat. I just know time I did get my back fixed and surgery, and finally time I got down to my craft space it was dry and solid, I think, best to do where it's warm. I want to test the best option this summer outside in the sun or in a low heat oven or a dehydrator and see what the outcome will be and the time drying process.

      @DonnasCreationsandMore ya it definty takes a extremely long time. I wonder what a better option would be if don't wanna use epoxy.. glad your feeling better
