I have no interest in Digimon and I was so invested in you finding a picture of that blister pack that I nearly cried with joy when you revealed that you were the one who bought it. Congratulations!
Pokemon had such a death grip on me I literally never saw digimon cards as a kid but I still feel like Kurtis took us along with him on this journey. You're an amazing content creator man!
Apparently, Pokemon was much better as a computer game rather than anime, which was just a “monster of the week” show where nothing happens, no progess, no larger continous story. Digimon, however, was a way better anime than it was a card game that did not find its own character, so was trying to mimic either Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon card play. Not sure about the plastic grow monster games, though.
I don’t know one thing about digimon but boi was I invested in you finding a single picture of the series 6 only to find you bought a pack for 5900. What a world we live in, I love it!

Still, nice video It's my favourite TCG and would love to make it reach more people to enjoy, I'm sure that with your reach and numbers it makes it more possible! ! If ever you were to revisit Digi-Battle for a new video, feel free to get in touch with me!
My day *genuinely* gets better after Kurtis,Danny,Drew or Chad Chad uploads
@TommylnnitOfficialnow the boys are pretending to make fun of boys tf
@John Wick 🅥 omg i can’t believe it’s the real john wick
I love that Chad Chad is included in that tier/group now.
also nickisnotgreen, jarvis, and jake doolittle

You got me so invested in something i've never heard of 😂
I used to collect this comic series when i was a kid that i stupidly gave away, and now it doesn't seem to exist anymore. i've been trying to hunt them down since covid! So i love seeing other ppl getting so excited about something nostalgic
What was the name of the series? I’m curious! I collect stuff too and also like comic books so on the incredibly rare off chance…
I have a friend who’s dad collects a shit ton of random and obscure comic books that he regularly sells for wayyy cheaper than the market price. What’s the title of the series? He might have some of them
i honestly love seeing kurtis talk about something he’s just so genuinely passionate about, like you can tell how much he loves talking about this and how happy it makes him
This was awesome
omg u watch Kurt!!! that is such a green flag
HOLY COW I LOVE YOU
I couldn’t care less about these cards or even Pokémon cards but I just enjoy listening to Kurtis knowing how thorough and passionate he is! Keep it up Kurtis! I love these videos
Same. I just enjoy hearing him speak
Me too. I want nothing but good things for that man.
hey seriously, i'm not a digimon person but it isn't stupid to like and collect digimon stuff. like it makes you happy! it sparks joy! that's not stupid that's what life's about dude. enjoy your pack!!!
honestly i hope kurtis keeps making vids about his incredibly niche interests like this
22:55 no but i literally gasped when he pulled it out
Kurtis single handlely keeping the digimon community alive
every time kurtis makes a video about digimon or collecting card games in general i know i’m gonna have a great time. i have no skin in this game but you can tell he’s really passionate about this and it translates so well to the quality of the video. production, editing, scripting, research, etc. i’m audhd and go ham with my own special interests and i love it when i see others do the same, neurodivergent or not!! been here since 2018 and always excited for what’s next ☺️
Not sure about the plastic grow monster games, though.
it's so wholesome to see Kurtis talking about things he loves
I don’t know one thing about digimon but boi was I invested in you finding a single picture of the series 6 only to find you bought a pack for 5900. What a world we live in, I love it!
Okay but I legitimately love videos like this where Kurtis is passionate about something and just really excited to share that passion with everyone. Two thumbs way up. They are flying into space now. We'll never see them again. But seriously this video brought a smile to my face during this rough patch in my life.
your comment brightened my morning. hope life is being kinder to you, fren 💜
lmao this comes off so sweet but deadas i just lol’d hard to this n wanna share good vibes
this guy rly laid out 20+ minutes of digimon history... and i can't stop listenin 😈
would love to see more kurtis flexing his gold digimon cards,
i genuinely love the energy that radiates surrounding the world of card collections n stuff especially when people get the cards they want!! the happiness gets to me and i love it
it reminds me of doll collecting
18:32 wasnt expecting to hear The Smiths in a Kurtis Conner video but hey thats pretty dope
i’ve been super into nostalgic video essays on youtube recently and i think there’s a big up-and-coming section of youtube that’s headed that direction as well since the format just doesn’t work on other social media so i’d love to see more content like this!! great work and also great pacing and comedic timing with this one :o)
my fave kurtis videos are the ones that he genuinely seems so passionate about, I love hearing about things people enjoy that I have no knowledge on, ESPECIALLY when it involves a mystery and an exciting plot twist
Honestly Kurtis, I love videos like this where you're just super passionate about something so unimportant in the grand scheme of things. It's so entertaining watching you research such a niche thing and sharing what you find with a bunch of strangers and broadening the knowledge of it. It's genuinely really dope to see. Love ya dude.
Dude seriously, fucking congrats on the series 6 find!!!! That’s honestly so awesome to have been at the right place at the right time to see it go up for auction man. TO THE KING 👑🎉🍻
I love watching him absolutely nerd out about this hyperfixation of his. The way he devoted sm time to this rlly shows he's COMITTED. Most entertaining stuff ever
This is like a movie ending, I don’t think I’ve ever been more satisfied with how the events of a video have played out 😂
I almost cried when i saw that he won the auction! He deserves it! Congrats Kurtis 🗣️💕
ikr i was smiling so hard for him hhahaha
Kurtis this was my favourite video you have made. What a great watch. I used to have a bunch of the early sets when I was little.
Eric (digischnitzel) seems like such a chill dude! Glad you were able to solve this mystery, king!!!
dude we love the digimon content, it’s great seeing kurtis go on a nostalgia adventure for the rest of us!
I love how excited Kurtis is to talk about Digimon all the time
I watched Digimon this pandemic since I barely watched it as a kid and I was kicking myself for not checking it out sooner. It's honestly a good anime
14:38 this moment literally reminded me that I didn’t cite my sources for an essay that I had submitted and was worth 35% of my grade. This reminder Saved me from a literal zero.
Every day is a good day when Kurtis posts! His vibes are so 40 year old cool uncle we all love
it’s so funny how he went from like. funny cousin vibes to cool uncle in maybe two years
I love Kurtis’s videos about his interests, you can see the passion he has for this series
YES! I just watched your year old Pokémon video, and here you are, still at!!!! As a collector myself (sealed video games) I'm happy you found the nostalgia of "owning" your childhood. 🎉🎉🎉
kurtis is the only person who can talk about shit like AI and NFTs and the history of digimon in a way that i both want to listen to and understand he's out here doing god's work
The best part about these original anime cards like Digimon and Pokemon is that no one had a clue how to play them so we just made up our own rules instead
Pretry Sure That's Actually How You Were Supposed To Play The Old Digimon Card Game. The Old Card Game Had Very Little If Any Rules. Thankfully, The New One Has Easily Digestible And Set Rules.
Also, Didn’t Expect To See A Pat Randomly Out Here In The Wild.
9:00 Pikachu is WILDIN' for that hat 💀
Digimon has been my special interest for YEARS now and seeing this made me so happy ❤
I honestly love this style of video. Obviously it’s harder to put together than the usual ones but I really hope Kurtis does more random hunts like this again!
I'm impressed that Kurtis kept my adhd brain entertained with a 26 minute video about collectible cards I had never heard of before.
Also the neurodivergent/divergent joke at the start got me yes Kurtis you're probably neurodivergent like 76% of commentary youtubers arw
literally watching this video filled my neurodivergent brain that knows NOTHING about digimon cards just fill with glee like... my brain rly went BBBBBRRRRRRRRR
@@grimyrat GLEE?!?
@@rachezzel yes!!! i love seeing people get really excited talking about their special interests!! it also just makes me feel more hopeful that maybe others love seeing me get really excited talking about mine 🥲

dude the background photos of the mall play area around 23:05 gave me a nostalgia whiplash i did not know that multiple malls had the same weird plastic boat and stone bridge things as mine, i do not have one original experience lol
i love learning about other peoples random obsession! this is great
Kurtis Conner and Digimon will always go together like PB and J
