CSS does supports nesting and variables but (to this date)it doesn't have features like @mixins and functions, so it is much much needed, you don't have to write the same line of code for each and every elements that share some similar property.

In recent update, css also has nested styling property.

Its not fully supported everywhere though and can cause issues but sass gets converted to regular css in the end so there are no issues

Bhai tu pehle css acche se sikhale, thoda far javascript bhi sikhale, uske bad 10-12 acche khase project bana. Aur uske baad SASS sikh, sare concept tuje fatak se samaj ajange. Kyoki jise CSS aur OOP concepts kaise kaam karte hai vo nahi pata, use kya ghanta SASS samaj ayega.
