- Preview of the upcoming update 20. This new module improves & optimize the volumetric rendering. It now support custom resolution to highly improve the performance and a blur phase to smooth the result.

@@LordXamon I don't want to ruin the surprise to much, but you can expect an overhaul of all the old shaders. Improved water shader, AO and SSS. Similar to the SSR upgrade.
This work is borderline insane. I'm very excited for update 20, and will for sure be adding it to my personal pack. Thank you so much for your hard work.

Cool tech. Are there some areas where the improvement impact's gonna be most noticable or are volumetrics basically everywhere? Uneducated guess, but I figure Rostok and other building heavy environments or underground sections are gonna benefit most from this?
Everywhere. All volumetric effects are affected. ( Sun shafts and all lights )

I like the idea of the effect as it's a cool throwback to that Clear Sky stuff with lamps, but it sometimes clashes a bit with the clean and dark look of the game for more regular lights. Great effect but shouldn't be used everywhere.
What about the volumetric fog from Clear Sky now? :D

hey, what do you think of adding fog scattering somewhen?
Already implemented on update 20.
Global Illumination when? (I remember playing around with the r2_gi params back in SOC and when it worked it looked awesome but performance was really bad. And it only worked when the stars aligned).
Any recommendations for how to make the anti aliasing look better? I’m running gamma and the edges look hella jagged sometimes (1440p) this update looks dope

@@lvutner I'd rather chop off one of my fingers before using reshade for anti aliasing. It's not even necessary anyways since Anomaly has SMAA as an option already.
