At 75 it is great to enjoy a REAL video of "How it's done". Greetings from our farm to yours. Thank God for your blessings, I see so many.
Glad you enjoyed it! We most definitely thank God for everything and everyone!!!
children should be shown where their burgers chicken nuggets drumsticks milk bacon etc comes from so they miight respect farming and food
That’s exactly right!!
I'm sure they know where they come from😊
@@darrinfry2251trust me, they don’t.Most of children who don’t live on/or near a farm have no idea!!
@@songbirds3712 It's not that I don't trust you.I don't trust nobody
Some adults don’t even know and to beat all, a huge majority of the population think animals have human type, thought processes! Bambi changed the world!
As i was growing up we did all our own butchering. I still do. I remember my mother only going grocery shopping once a month some times every other month. She only purchased what we didn't have on the farm. Such as flour and cirn meal and maybe hitvthebday old bakery because it was so affordable . Oh she did purchase some other things but not many. We raised and processed our own beef, pork, chickens and goats. Plus wild game and fish. And we an awesome garden. It was garden on left side orchard in middle and garden on the right. Man my mom snd grandma sure made a lot of plum jams and apple jelly and pear we also had peaches. For cobbler we had our own milk cows was the best life. Heck we were broke but never knew it lol. We ate good.
Those were the good days! People knew how to live!
You may have not had money but you was eating better than most folks. And you had family and thats rich.
@@rickgarnett4546 sounds like the way I grew up
After Graduation in 1983, I worked in a beef processing plant for about 3 years. Learned alot. This steer was a very big boy!
That’s awesome! Yes he is!
I started a Proper Human Diet in July. Beef , Butter , Bacon /Pork Belly , Eggs , Water , Salt and have lost 55lbs. My IBS is gone, RA is getting better , lots of energy , no more hunger pains etc etc. Sugar and processed foods are poisoning the American people . What you have here in North Hardy’s Chapel is pure gold. Great video
That’s absolutely awesome! I’ve been transitioning to this diet!
Hey make sure you eat some greens too because there's vitamins and minerals the body needs that you don't get from meat butter and eggs, especially scurvy from vitamin c deficiency. I get kale and silver beet( I'm not sure what silver beets called in America, it's a leafy green) give them a wash, cut them up fine and put them with the eggs uncooked. I also occasionally use potassium/sodium salt because I started getting cramped legs, but a little of that every week fixes it. Ditch the sugar, and all the other crap though. Good effort. 👍
It’s a grrrreat diet I’ve been on it for 40 yrs Meat meat and mmmmmmmore meat 🥩 for me I love 🐖🐂🐃🥩🐄🐓🐂🐃🇬🇧🇬🇧
@@kaitlynlsari681 Kaitlyn... plenty of people have been on carnivore for years (including myself), decades even.... with no scurvy. Vit c requirement is extremely low when you aren't consuming carbohydrates.
Love watching your family help out. God bless America
Amen!
Amen 🙏🏾
The gutting and all the stuff youtube doesn't want u to show, should be shown so people can see how their food is processed and they should learn how to do it anyway, that cooler would be great to have, looks like some good beef
Even after being so careful, they STILL age restricted it!!! Totally aggravated here!
I'm a small cattle farmer too and just found your channel and subscribed after watching your video. Well done by the whole gang there! I love to see young people involved in the family farm and rolling their sleeves up to get it done👌You can be very proud of them.😊
Btw- I was guessing between 1950-2000 lbs. Looks like I guessed pretty dang good from a video.😂 God bless and carry on folks!👍
You have a good eye! Better than me and I was right there!😂😂😂
This is the problem with America today people don't even know how or what it takes to put meat in the supermarket this is what it's about
Absolutely! It’s so overwhelming to so many people.
Beautiful to see the strong youngers getting it done. You young people today would calling sick cuz their thumbs are sore from playing video games
I know, right. Most of us think that pigs lay sausages.
Well I've done that for 43 years and never seen it broke down in 6 pieces before it will still eat good
🤗🤗
Totally understand that!
That bull is doin what any bull worth its weight is supposed to do - anything he wants (except for jumping the fence and wandering off). What a character! Gonna miss him.
I’m truly looking forward to the day he’s missed!!!😂😂😂
Its unfortunate utube and some of its audience are so sensitive to the realities of life.
This occurred on our farm at least once annually here in Canada.
Nice to see these videos popping up, its a trip down memory lane. Well done folks.
Thank you.
Great point! People are not only missing out, they’re becoming so sensitive!😂😂😂
😂👍yup!!
I really enjoyed your video. My granddaddy had a dairy farm in Austin Texas, he also raised cattle, pigs, turkeys and chickens. My mama didn’t care for it, she said it was a lot of work. My uncle loves ranch living and so do I. He still raises rodeo horses and steer. I like to eat beef; nothing tastes better than a good steak. I also like liver and onions and tongue. Thank you very much
That is awesome! That’s real living!!!
Good morning!
A lot of good beef there. I thought he would have been a little heavier, but it's hard to tell by looking at a video.
That big cooler that your neighbors have is sure nice!
You folks have a good day.
Good morning! Yes I thought so too! But I’m really looking forward to trying out a steak!!!
I used to raise and butcher all my own meat until I had to retire, you just know that the meat will be top quality because you put the effort into raising it, I don't care what anyone says, it tastes far better, well done you guys.
That’s 100% right! It’s got a lot of love and care in every bite!🥩🥩🥩
Ive seen several videos where it shows the whole process. No age restrictions just good informative videos of small farm butching.
It’s different now though……. I’m not sure when it changed but it’s impossible for me to show anything. This video was age restricted and consequently nobody could watch it……… I appealed it and got it reversed thankfully.
@McGieHomesteadAdventures its weird, i honestly dont know the triggers for youtube. Also small farm "butching" lol 🤦♀️
You have a fine family to be proud of they pitched in and got her done they did. Tku

I see nothing wrong with this video fact's of life I say. Great video thanks for sharing keep the cameras rolling from Florida .😅
It’s not what the government wants. Plain and simple they want us to be eating tofu, fake meat and bugs!
Several years back, we had a two year old steer that weighed a ton for live weight. Hanging came to over 1600 lbs.😮
That’s huge! Bet he was delicious!
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures tender as all get out. T- bones as big as a dinner plate and round steaks that only one fit on a large cookie sheet.
The best beef I’ve ever tasted, came from an old Guernsey cow, that my dad and I butchered. She had yellow fat, marbleized steaks and roasts, excellent eating !
Oh my goodness yes!
Now that is a "Lotta Meat!' and No Taters!! Job well done!!

Great video thanks for sharing, I'm interested to know what the carcass weighed when the head hide hoofs and offall were removed. Thank you.
We didn’t weigh it like that but the back leg alone was 212 pounds and the front shoulder was 238 pounds….. but the belly ribs and back weren’t weighed.
That’s a good looking carcass

The UN is behind a lot of this nonsense.

Good Morning Frens! 🖖😎
Morning!
Well i used to eat tofu everything 😮💨 no meat, soy milk, soy sausages, protein bars with soy isolates in them, and it almost completely destroyed my liver and killed me, my damn liver looked like it had a shotgun taken too it. I gave the so called "healthy recommed diet" the finger, and started eating meat again and dropped sugar and artificial sweeteners out and hey freaking presto, wouldn't you know it i got better...
That is the testimony of so many people!!! I’m glad you got well again!!!
You may be able to have a second channel to show more detailed processing . I think UA-cam will allow it, you just can’t monetize it.
Eventually I’ll probably do something like that.
Great job
Thank you!
That was definitely a team effort 👍
Yes it was! And lots of fun working together!
Those boys will be helping to eat the beef as well process it. They know where their best interests are 😃
Cattle rustling is a topic in many Western movies and TV series. You do seem to have enough manpower to prevent any rustling on your precious land. Celery sticks Ok but not good for protein; beef however is tremendous, also for an important mineral---iron.
That’s a very good point! I’m thinking that modern rustling would be a bit different……. Waiting until the process is complete because they have no idea how to do it and are too lazy!😂😂😂
I love this keep the vids coming..at least we know where this food comes from and it’s healthy with only one ingredient BEEF 🎉

Hey brother! So glad to see you! Old Frank is still up to his good ole self!! Ornery as ever!!!😂😂😂
Hey brother MIKE, it’s Jeff. Could you imagine loading up the bull I think all you would have to do is stand in the trailer or on the outside trailer and the Bull come after you as much as you like ticking him off and making him mad also brother, UA-cam is a bunch of idiots and some of their things rules and regulations but they have worse content than that. Believe me I seen it I seen people gut a deer on UA-cam I would’ve loved to see the heart how big the heart was, and how clean it was

Yes indeed!
We home slaughter on our farm here in Germany. We have to abide by a lot more regulations and health tests and by the harvesting a vet has to inspect the carcass and the brain. But our farm sells our own beef it is even processed on the farm and is organic. I laughed when you ju8st got your handgun and shot it. Would never be allowed here lol
The regulations might become more complicated here someday. But for now we are pretty much free to do as we please………. And we will!
If getting plenty of fresh air and sunshine has anything to do with the flavor of bull tongue his should be delicious. I've never seen a bull do that tongue wagging so much.
😂😂😂 same here! I’ll definitely let you know!😂😂😂
Hi. I have a question. What kind of electric saw did you use? Do you use specific saw blade?
That was a Milwaukee battery powered reciprocating saw. The blade was a long blade for cutting wood.
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures thank you 😁
What was the final yield on the big steer? I just purchased a beef 2 pounds heavier than your steer. I took it to a butcher for processing and was wondering what approximate final yield I might expect.
We didn’t weigh the finished products because they got eaten before we even finished processing it!😂
That be a mighty fine critter foe tru 😅
I’m so very happy with how it turned out on the feed ration we used!
But you said you gonna show us everything, then how did I miss the skinning part?
I’m sorry…… UA-cam absolutely punishes me. If I’d have included that, you’d have never seen the video anyway because they won’t give you the option. Believe me I would if I could!

Why don’t you hook up a small electric winch on your rail system in the cooler so your not breaking everyone’s back to hang the meat. You can turn a four man job into a one man job. I’ve always been told to work smarter not harder. Just a suggestion.😊

Agnus Dei (Lamb of God)
"Look through the letters, because you think that you have eternal life in them; and they testify for me. And you will not come to Me to have life. I do not receive glory from men. But I know you that you do not have the love of God in you. I came to name of your Father and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive."
(John 5/39-43)
God's Holy Truth is the most powerful almighty sword of defense and impenetrable shield, shelter, refuge and protection from every attack of the mindless forces of darkness.
"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who make darkness light and light darkness, who make bitter sweet and sweet bitter. Woe to those who think they are wise, and are sensible to themselves. Woe to those who are strong drinkers of wine and mighty in the mixing of strong drink. Who justify the wicked for a gift, and take justice from the righteous. Therefore as the fire consumes the stubble and the straw perishes in the flame, so their root will be like rot and their flower will go away like dust, for rejected the law of the Lord of hosts and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel."
(Isaiah 5/20-24)
The spirit to which we belong can best be seen through our relationship to nature and those weaker than us, especially to clean animals (lambs, calves, sheep, cows..., as well as all other animals, birds..., plants..., all Earth), who are extremely tame endlessly trusting us who are supposed to be humans. Let's return to the Living God, who is coming very soon to judge this misguided, morally infinitely corrupt and evil world! The time given to this world to be cleansed from sin by the Holy Spirit and by the most holy sacrifice of the Lamb of God is about to expire, and that is why it is very important to prepare physically, mentally and spiritually with all our heart, mind and being to meet our King and Master. , which is coming. God gave man the most careful care of living and non-living nature, not to destroy and devour it.
Let's just think about the offering of sacrificial animals for the sake of cleansing from sin, a practice that was effective until the offering of God's Sacrifice, (after that it no longer makes any sense and is very hateful to God) for the sake of our salvation through the Messiah Christ, YASHA HAMASHIACH.
Let's think about the equivalent that was effective at the time - we commit a huge sin and evil and all this is cleansed through the blood of an innocent animal, which, because of us and our stupidity, suffers on the altar. She was not born to suffer but to live, like everything else in God's creation.
Let's think how much evil was done to all those animals, whole generations, lineages and species, when their sacrifice was enough to cleanse us. Someone suffered very, very, very much for us. It must finally stop forever and ever and according to God's promise it will surely stop and people will in the New Renewed Kingdom, which will very soon be established on the whole Earth, on every inch of land and water - New Heaven and New Earth, really, really , to truly be people, who have the image of God in their heart (dnk-Sefer Haim-Book of Life-Book of the Lamb).
"But he will judge the poor with justice and chastise the meek in the land with justice, and he will smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the spirit of his lips he will kill the wicked. And justice will be a belt around his loins, and truth a belt around his loins. And the wolf will dwell with the lamb , and the lynx will lie down with the kid, the calf and the lioness and the fattened fowl will be together, and the little child will lead them. And the cow and the bear will fall together, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like a cow. And the suckling child will play over the hole of the asp, and the weaned child will put his hand into the hole of the Basilisk snake. He will not enter or chase my holy mountain, because the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord like the sea of water that is full."
(Isaiah 11/4-9)
