  • First attempt with casting a key doing it with you guys. I'm bummed it didn't work but after reviewing I'm pretty sure I needed a bigger air vent and also to make a smaller and better funnel to pour into. Please feel free to share any tips that might help in my next attempts. I'll make sure the next video I put up is a success! Hope everyone enjoyed it was still a fun process and setting up of the Covert Instruments Replicant!! #covertinstruments #locksport #lockpicks #lockpicking #paclock

Not sure what I did wrong with the camera angle I do apologize. And next casting will be alot more successful! I think I took to long to pour it after I removed the heat, also I probably needed a bigger air vent and a better funnel with less clay around it. What do you think anyone have any tips or suggestions?

      I don't own the product, but I've been researching a lot - it's a fascinating gadget :))
Most people, before pouring, place the mold in the plastic cover so that it stands securely on its own (as you did as well). But I think you're the only person who also slid the top cover on it - it doesn't seem necessary.
Furthermore, I think it might've been the issue (pressing the parts so tightly together the mold had a tougher time traveling to the bottom).
      Maybe that helps :)
Thanks for the review! Good luck casting :)

That was a great first attempt! I've not used anything like this before but from what i've seen with other people casting stuff, I think your right, slightly bigger funnel and little bit more of an air vent and I think that should do it! All in all though, great stuff!

Thanks I agree for sure and maybe a quicker pour after I take the heat away. That was the other thing I noticed that I think would help. Time will tell lol

Well thats a grand idea of a kit. This is first i’ve seen it. Can’t wait to see when ya get it down! Thanks for sharing man. Oh one bit of advice, kick your camer to side so gives full screen effect instead of angle bein up in down. I had to get a new phone to do just that. The Iphone 5was terrible compared to 14🤣😝. But good stuff man!👏👏🤘😎

I know the angle is killing me not sure how I messed it up. 🤦‍♂️I will definitely have some videos of it casting again soon. I have a key style I really want to try or two kinds of different ones actually just I don't have a lock for them lol so hunting down some with locks.

It definitely takes some practice to get a good cast. One thing that helped me was making my air channel really deep, it helps make a more consistent pour that that doesn’t pool up at the top.

I think a Flipper is a good investment. I do a lot of research into electronic security, and it's a good tool for implementing attacks and gathering signals. More sophisticated tools are better for research to find vulnerabilities and gather information.
I think the device is still in its infancy. There's a lot more waiting to be coded into it.
