Wow, amazing!!! 👍thanks for sharing 👍👍
You’re welcome!
hi i noticed some small black ants in your dragon fruit buds, are those harmful?
I noticed some of your plants are planted in the ground. What would you recommend, in pot or in ground is best?
Hi Mary Ram, if you have the space in your garden then I always recommend doing it in the ground because it gives them unlimited root space to flourish. Also you need to think about your weather conditions. Will it be too hot or too cold for them when winter or summer comes? But if you have conditions which is hard to grow then growing them in Pots is nice because you have more control. You can bring them into shade when it’s too hot. Or even bring it into your home to protect them from winter. I’m from California so my growing conditions are ideal throughout the year. Hope this helps!
Thank you! I’m in the San Diego area so that’s perfect.
You’re very welcome!
Can you let us know which variety is this?
What happen if all buds are kept for developing ?
Mais vai nascer flor onde foi tirado???
Can they survive in Texas? In the summertime temperature can reach up to 100 degrees and in the winter season it can drop down to 12 degrees. Let me know. Thank you!
Hi Y L, they can survive in Texas if you have the right set up to protect them from the sun when they are at 100F+. They thrive best in weather conditions of 65F-85F. After 100F, they can get sunburned real bad and damage the branches. People with high heat use shade covers over their dragon fruits and only let 45-65% of sunlight to pass through. This helps them not burn. For the cold, you’ll have to build a green house to keep them inside so they don’t freeze, that can cause flesh to rot when too cold. They cant withstand temp under 30F-38F. That’s why I plant most of my Dragon fruits in pot to move them in the garage if it’s really really cold.
