40/40 on the same day? Insane!
40/40 and a walk-off grand slam on the same day?? THE ONE AND ONLY!!
40-40 by a pitcher too
First pitch too! 😉
Just wait til he gets to 50/50!
Fastest too, in 126 games!
@@kevinlin3367 on Friday night felon night!
40th stolen base followed by the 40th homer same game, as a walk off GRAND SLAM! At Dodger Stadium on a Friday night!! There will never be a more perfect way to get 40/40.
Sorry for the fan who almost caught that baseball
@@randomax5148 bro literally dropped an easy 5k

@@isslay13025k? More like 100k!
He just wanted the maximum drama for reaching that 40/40 feat. But seriously, I think he said something after the game about not being calm in that last AB when asked about it--admitting that he felt some stress there, humbly. Still, he rose to the occasion and hit that amazing grand slam to walk off the game.
How many people watch baseball just for Shohei Ohtani? I am one of them. Now watching on the daily for moments like this. Shohei Ohtani is a true GOAT
He looks exactly like my nephew but my nephew is half Vietnamese.
Just you lol that’s weird
Me
if you only watch for shohei how do you know he's the goat?
Ohtani best player you ever watch play baseball. Thumb is up if you agree
Judge is still better. Look at wrc.
@@aboutme7810 bro is a Yank fan for sure
Judge is objectively better this year. I’m also a Dodger fan, but don’t let your bias cloud your judgement.
Let's be real. Hitting HRs in Yankees tiny ballpark is 10x easier than at Dodger stadium
You Ohtani people really need to open your eyes and start paying attention to what Aaron Judge is doing. Yeah,Ohtani is a fabulous player but what Judge is doing this season is historic
40-40 is already great but for him just a stepping stone for the next history.
Not to be outdone by Shohei Ohtani but Enrique Hernandez deserves credit for tying the game with a 3-run home run.
That was huge
He is so clutch.
definitely 🙌
Yes he does
He’s a fun guy to watch play. He plays with a lot of energy and comes up clutch a lot
Shohei Ohtani is the greatest baseball player ever!!! Nothing but respect for this humble and talented Japanese baseball player!!!
A starting pitcher/hitter with the physical, mental, ethic, and talent to throw a 100 mph ball on the mound and hit .300 with 100 RBIs, 40 home runs, and 40 stolen bases at the plate.
hes 292
@@lagear2165 Called rounding up. It's not like he's batting .250
@@TheGreyCrayonexactly and his average pretty much all season has floated around 320
Not a pitcher and not able to throw 100 mph
@@rhettblair6186 Well, not exactly. His career average is .277 so far, which is still impressive considering he's an ace pitcher with a career 3.01 ERA.
Edit: Sorry, misread you comment. Yes, his average was around 320 for the first half of the season, but slumps are slumps, and as the season goes on, it gets harder to keep your average up. Ohtani will always be Ohtani regardless.
Shohei is on the pace to reach 50+50. But, more importantly, I hope he always fit, healthy, and free from injury.
Hé does not pitch anymore!
@@jwslijm7278 Yes he does! Just not this season! Are you DeRp or something?
@@420ALI3N Derp?!
@@jwslijm7278 I guess so! HA!
and remember 50/50 has never been done in baseball history.
Kopech numbers for the Dodgers are incredible…what a great acquisition
He's already looking ahead to the 50-50!
He’s on pace for it barely!
If he catches fire, he can certainly do it. He needs to get on base more though. There's like 30+ games left.
Even 45/45 would be incredible. No one has ever done that.
@@LilianaJohnston-77 43/43 would be a record too
Yep
The fact that a pitcher got into the 40-40 Club is just mind boggling. Ohtani really is the GOAT!
He's a hitter. You act like he was a pitcher who just mysteriously learned how to hit one day. He's a great athlete who has trained at hitting his entire life. It's no surprise he can hit. I imagine there quite a few great athletes who could do similar things if you focused their training on throwing and hitting their entire lives.
@brindlebucker4741 you can argue that, hypothetically, lots of pitchers could hit at an elite level if they trained at it, but the fact remains that almost no one ever has. Thousands upon thousands of MLB players over more than a century and you have to go back to Babe Ruth to find comparisons. Just face it, he's truly unique
@@brindlebucker4741he’s also a pitcher 😂😂
@@brindlebucker4741😂😂😂 no they can’t. Not at the level he can
40/40 and cy young candidate? 😂😂😂😂
Not gonna happen
Until that happens , Ohtani is 🐐
@@brindlebucker4741so you reckon a few others could do it, yet not a single other one exists in baseball history, beside a guy 100 years ago who didn’t do both at the same time. You will never see another player like shohei in your lifetime pal.
A huge congratulations to Shohei Ohtani becoming the 6th player to join the elusive 40/40 club. LET'S GO DODGERS!

Shohei...what an extraordinary athlete he is! 40/40 is one helluva achievement. Congrats!
Love how Ohtani and Freeman bow to each other on the field as soon as they share their eye contact 👍🏼 That's how sports and sportsmanship should be!
He is a generational talent who will go down in history as one of the greatest players to ever don a baseball jersey. We are so lucky to be able to witness such a rare talent. Dodgers are smart letting him heal from Tommy John surgery. He is an elite pitcher and will help them down the line. He i the one reason I have returned to baseball after several years.
NL MVP SECURED WITH THE FASTEST 40/40 CLUB MEMBER 🥶
Its not September yet and the NL and AL MVP are all set.
Shohei completes 40/40 in a dramatic way! 👍🦄😍

Shohei Ohtani what an absolute legand!
THE ONE AND ONLY!!
Achieved 40-40 in Grand Slam!!! Congratulations Shohei Ohtani🎉🎉🎉 You’re truly an amazing player (IMHO)❣️
Historic night... Congrats Shohei. Great comeback win for the Blue.
This will go down in HISTORY 💯 DODGERS FOR LIFE 💙🟦
Great in Japan, Great in America and Great in The World Baseball Classic.
Shohei will go down as one of the GOATs 🔥🔥 Ohhhh Thank You helping me win my parlay i needed the dodgers run line 🎉🎉🎉🔥🔥🔥💯🐐
Congrats to Bobby Miller for staying with it and going a good strong six.
This is not a movie, this is OHTANI!! ⚾⚾⚾
Athletic ACTor 📜✍🏾⚾🧲🎪🏟️🎥.
It's not a game, it's a ‘movie!’ 👍 🎬
Dodger Stadium has turned into a ‘theater!’

This 40/40 was fantastic! Simply cinematic😅😅
Complete stud a great team effort in the ninth to set up that slam good work
Bobby Miller had good stuff tonight. He looked great. Hopefully this is a confidence boost
If he continues his form for the next five
years, there's a strong case to be made
that he could be considered the
greatest baseball players of all time.
The fan that dropped that Ohtani grand slam 40/40 ball is going to be haunted for a while. What a botch
Watch again. The guy next to him slapped it away from him the last second. Wasn’t his fault.
I believe it was also a Ray's fan.
The outfielder should have given the ball to that fan who missed the catch.
I jump onto the field and give it to one of my family members to hold on to it
40-40 MVP! MVP!! MVP!!!

A walkout grandslam for 40-40...
This is the story of ANIME MAIN CHARACTER .
This is his world and we just live in it
From anime major
I was at this game, different energy than I’d felt in my two decades attending regularly
I saw this game live it was absolutely bonkers!
Best Homerun of 2024.
We love you Ohtani san!😮
Ohtani is crazy hitting that walk off
The guy who dropped Shohei's homer must be kicking himself. How much was that worth?
50k or more
Good luck keeping it… they won’t authenticate the baseball if you don’t return it. They pulled second base out after the stolen base already…
With a glove too 😵 hope the dude that knocked the glove out of the way is not his buddy, that's a long quiet ride home
@@kingofdait was a rays fan who did that 😂
Thats why he is in the stands and not the field had in his glove what and e
He's truly something special! It's just a bonus that I'm a Dodger and Angel's Fan.
40-40 in back to back seasons for the first time in history!
From a Ray's fan I like him and what he has and can do great ball player 30+ games left if all the teams that won't pitch will he could make it to 50 and 50😊😊
A walk-off grand slam to achieve a 40/40 designation WOW
I saw this live and I was like no way!
Shohei is the sixth member to 40-40 club but the fastest ever. And he's aiming at more excellent club 45-45 and 50-50 to be a sole member.
Ontani stay humble win or lose its all about team work
It was just after 6.30 on Saturday morning in theNetherlands. I watched the game on the website of MLB. Bases loaded and Ohtani coming to the plate, but than a mound visit. And a few moments later; the game was over and 4 runs more could only mean a grand slam.
Ohtani haters are PISSEDDD ❤️😄
Ohtani is just a phenomenon
What a way to get the 40/40. You legend.
That was definitely an anime moment right there at the ninth. Amazing 🎉🎉🎉
Feel sorry for the guy that fumbled this record ball. That's like 400k down the drain
more like a mill
7:13 I love watching each audience's reaction
He has mad aura
If he continues to bat like this and performs as well as usual next year as a pitcher, he will be nothing short of a monster.
The best part the rays fan dropped the ball worth at least 50k 😂
Going to be a very tough series for the Rays. Dodgers are a really good team. Gg Dodgers
GO SUPER DODGERS GO!!!!! All the way California 🤘🏻
Apik tenan .... sangar.... MVP...MVP...MVP 👍🏻
that was clutch AF
Here are the records Ohtani has achieved against the Rays. The Rays have been like a guardian angel for him.😂😂😂
•First cycle hit by a Japanese player
•His first leadoff home run
•Grand slams in two consecutive years
•A walk-off grand slam to achieve the 40-40 milestone
Afaik it is 3 consecutive years, 2022 Tampa at LAA, shohei hits 1st career slam.
2023 Tampa at LAA, shohei hits 2nd career slam in bottom of 2nd? Also it is first game of angels 1b schanuel at that time who bats in front of shohei.
@@exia0616 thank you for your service🫡

"The situation everybody dreams of ..." Nah. It has to be the World Series, 3-3 overall, bottom of the 9th, tied score. GRAND SLAM. THAT is the situation.
Hate to be that dodo head that missed catching that 40-40 Grand Slam HR!! 😮 He had gloves on too! 😢 Congrats though Shohei!

A Big round of applause for Shohei Ohtani for 40-40 achievement 🎉 👏
Im proud of Bobby Miller.
Yes. Overshadowed by Ohtani, but Miller had a decent outing.
Definitely improved from his last couple of starts.
Yes VERY promising and much needed for the rotation 🙏
Be a Dodgers fan is the most beautiful thing in the world
Even the umpire had to take off his mask and look at that beauty wow 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥
ohtani fr just got me into baseball
WHAT A PLAY OHTANI!!❤
Judge has 9 more HRs but Ohtani has 34 more STLs. I’ll take the 36 more STLs.
I'm just glad we're able to watch such elite players
Yankees have a worse record than the dodgers despite having judge and Soto and a healthy pitching lineup. That Yankees ballpark is built for hitters to stat pad.
I’ll take the 333 average over 292

Hitting a 40/40 on a grand slam. Is this guy writing an anime Manga character😂
Dude, are we forgetting he’s a pitcher that’s resting his right arm for the yr??! Just speechless
Othani for NL MVP!! I look forward to his petformance in the upcoming playoffs.
Could join Acuña next few years maybe with joining the 40/60 club, I’m convinced it’s possible 💯 what a legend already, 40/50 season within reach still 😅 insane !
What a story book game ender. 2 outs, Walk off Grand Slam in the bottom of the 9th to reach 40/40. Unreal. 😂😂😂
I'm in rehab so I'm doing it at 70% capacity.

we are all witnessing a legend in the making and i love every second of it !
This is amazing to watch, go Shohei🎊
Nobody's going to mention the fan that failed to catch the 40/40 ball😮
baseball is one of humans’ greatest gifts to civilization.
, the most democratic of all sports. watching Ohtani play inspires hope for humanity.
Enjoy this kids we won't see another player of this caliber for another 80 years. It's like watching The Babe.
A win game and a history for shohei congratulations. Next WS ring
You can't script this, that's the beauty of the sport. What a remarkable night for Ohtani.
