This day, as the temps reached the high 80s when testing it, has been a lot hotter, than in the mid-90s, and this adjustment still works.
The floor vents under the seats perform best in the heat mode, the dash vents work best for AC. Of course, the defrost is for different weather conditions altogether.

Unfortunately no rear ac vents is a deal breaker for us. We live in AZ with a toddler in a car seat. It’s north of 100° for 3 months a year. Hopefully they will change this is the near future.
Nice video. I’d probably keep one vent for front seat occupants. But this goes to show for all the “no rear vent” whiners it gets plenty cold back there. It’s literally 3 feet away people.
Agreed.
I run my vents the same way, and when my sidekick (9.5yo Shih-tsu) is along, I turn the floor vent on also. He likes to lay in the floorboard behind my seat. Keeps him cool also.
Good video Duane. I would like to see that video again in the winter with the heat.
Will do
Passenger side front vent was set to CLOSED
we were constantly adjusting the vents, it works even better with both side vents open and pointed toward the door panels.
Why is that headrest tilted like that? Please tell me there is an option to straighten it?
Ha! It's a horrible angle! On the higher packages it's adjustable, but with mine I had to pull it out and reverse it. Works great.
We don’t have any rear occupants so we get to hog the air. Lol
Ha ha, that works too!
