I saw you had "take down swing set" on one of your chore lists. Did you know you can keep the frame, paint it a lovely garden color, attached wire to it and use it as a trellis for peas, beans, cucumbers and even small pumpkins:) So many ways to re-purpose!

You know, sometimes I'm so thankful for God for creating this amazing world with its nature and I cannot express it anyway but through journaling and drawing. Just wanna say thank you so much for such an inspiring video☺
An amazing Creator indeed 😍😍😍 I admire your thought, not too many people are grateful to the wonderful creator for this wonderful earth and all the beautiful nature brings, sunsets, sunrises, plants, mountains, flowers, sea, stars.... just so much to be thankful.
Growing up, my family has always had a garden. Not for the aesthetic, and not even because it's necessarily "healthier" (although I'm now at an age where I appreciate being raised on home grown food). We did it because we couldn't afford to buy vegetables all year round. We'd preserve and freeze and dry vegetables and fruits so we had enough to get through the winter. But now, I appreciate it so much, because now I know so much more about plants and gardens then I'm sure most young people my age do. I cant wait to someday have my own garden... :)

It's really sad because as I watch this, I think how I would love to take the time to have a garden journal, but I have never done it because it just doesn;t seem to be a useful use of my time. Watching your videos is reminding this mom of 3 to do some things that don't necessarily serve an obvious purpose, but that feed my soul.
Self care is crucial.
A garden journal can be very useful but it doesn’t have to be so aesthetic as hers is. There is a utility to documenting your plans in the garden, what you did differently in years past, what fertilizers or care worked good on some vegetables but not others, this is good information and merits a journal but I don’t have the time nor the inclination to make it so pleasing to the eye as she does in this video. Does she find value in making it so pretty, I’d assume so. Do I find value in it for myself, no. I’d rather spend my time doing something else that another person might find unnecessary. Just do what makes sense to you.

Why not start the kids off making journals of their own on topics they choose, cutting sticking and pasting, while you make yours with them?
@@ItsTooLatetoApologize I get that. I think I'd like to have both asthetics and info. My grandfather worked for the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and taught me so much, but died when I was 12. I still use his methods...and his tools. I think your comment is helping me narrow what I'll do xo

Great idea about using pics and such. I’ve kept an almanac of our farm each year for over 30 years. High/ low temp., weather, wind, what plants are coming up and animals seen. It’s good to be reminded so as to watch out for what’s coming. I’ll add your artistic touches. Bless you. May your and your viewer’s gardens always be a source of wonder and joy. 🙏❤️

Ah, I got all teary-eyed at the end! I used to do this kind of paper-crafting/art/journaling ALL THE TIME. 🤗 During this season of having all my babies, I don’t take as much time for art, but I greatly look forward to returning to it WITH my children as they grow. Deb Marlton Perhaps ppl who don’t live her Ideal life and would never have time to journal that way? Maybe they watch for relaxation, but then think, “Nope- too time consuming.” It’s very peaceful!
