RUNNING THE WESTERN STATES 100 - 100 MILE ULTRAMARATHON
What's up my beautiful people!? So excited to share this one with y'all and get to take you along for the ride of the 2023 Western States 100!!! This is my 2nd ultramarathon and 2nd 100 mile race. I feel so honored to have been selected to run this race after completing the Leadville 100 to represent the BIPOC. Huge s/o to HOKA! Huge s/o to my entire crew, pacers, the volunteers, and everyone who worked so hard to make this amazing race happen for me and all the runners!

Dude, having Sally on your crew had to be amazing. I don’t know if there’s anybody living that knows more about pain and how to mitigate it than her. It was so cool to see her at Leadville this year. You both are so amazing. Nice work man!
My favorite part of this video, besides the obvious run and grind, are the unedited/long cut portions of the aid station stops. It gives you an immense appreciation and better understanding of how it takes an entire team to keep someone moving.
You can't fake that attitude, and that smile. I believe you are capable of absolutely anything, most importantly, inspiring others to do the same. Thank you, Hellah. Peace and love.

Must be jarring going from being on your own on the trail for hours and then into the aid station having 6 people talking to you and asking questions all at once nonstop for a 10mim burst haha. 100miles is insane 😳👌🏼

Oh how I've waited for this video! I always refer back to the Leadville 100 video when I need a bit of inspiration before a long run and to see this is one has my soul smiling. Did my longest run on Wednesday after watching your Highest mileage video and Sally's Cocadona 250 video. I’m so inspired to try this in the coming years! I started running in April this year, ran my first 5k in July; now I run 8miles+ in one go. Im so excited to sign up for half marathon next year and see how it goes from there!

I've got so many great memories from this day: I paced my friend Tom for the final 40 and got to meet Sally, who has been a major inspiration for me, at Foresthill and then saw you come through the finish as we were recovering on the football field at Placer High.

Well done Hellah!! Incredible video and editing, I like how you combined different videos from different people into one. I also enjoyed seeing the early miles where there were no pacers in the high country. I've never made it out of the lottery into the WSER, so it was good to see the whole course. You had an incredible support team and the best pacer and mentor in the legendary Sally. I put your video, in the top 4 videos for WSER of all time. (the other 3 are Unbreakable (2010), Sally's Western Time (2014), Billy's Life in a Day (2016).

Got a pair cheap that someone bought and didn't like, and I love them. Agree with everything you say in terms of performance.
Guaranteed I would never own them at full price though. I'm a big fan of tnf trail shoes, the enduris are a great shoe. I'm really looking forward to the Alta Mesa line in the new year!

Funny enough, in between you running WSER and uploading this video, I ran and completed the Leadville 100 (my first 100 mile race, and as one of the youngest finishers ever). Interestingly, JP Giblin won the whole thing and he makes his cameo in this video too!
