I've heard of her but not sure if I've heard her. I probably saw that Anthony Bourdain episode since I watched that show when it was on The Travel Channel and CNN. Long live Real Country!
I really enjoy some of her songs. The more Honky Tonk the better. I like this album a fair amount more than the follow up releases, but still would take her worst song any day over modern country. Her story is really compelling and I've enjoyed a number of interviews she's done that I've heard.
That is a very good record White really championed a number of country singers, I think that is the Nashville connection
I've been to the Nashville Third Man Store--have you been to the one in Detroit?
I have. It’s been a couple of years, nice spot.

Margo Price is awesome. Since she's politically liberal she is "Americana" rather than "country".
Oh, UA-cam hid the Russian bot's comment. I was going to refer them to the Mystery Russian rekkid episode for a week or two ago.

I would agree that so far her debut is the best album.
Her bio almost sounds like Sturgill Simpson… have to check her out
And check out Caitlin Rose while you are at it--stalwarts of the East Nashville hipster country scene.
