I must disagree with anyone who says she should sing in English. Arabic is such a beautiful language and it is always better to be loved for what you do than to have a big audience of something you are not. By the way, I don't understand a word of Arabic.
I agree with brhumgorst, the fact that Diana was highlighted in the way she should have been is a definit product of globalization. Hopefully there will be a World Idol in the future.
i love this song .. and her voice is amazing .. and i think it's ok if she didn't win .. we all know she have the greatest voice and personality .. you should see her now after she lost lots of weight .. sooo pretty !! .. anyway .. thanx for the video
She has such an amazing and mesmerizing voice, love it, I remember I saw this on tv when it came on originally however many years ago and how the pure emotion she sang hit straight into my heart and stirred me inside, one of the most beutiful voices and song combined I have ever heard.
The song is called 'Ensani Ma Binsak' and it was an original song. I loved that she was the only one not to do a cover. I love foreign music, and these Arabian instruments - they really add something to a song.
I loved Kelly on World Idol, but this is the performance I keep watching over and over again! In the American votes Diana placed 3rd, so I don't really think, at least here in the states, that the language barrier was an issue. In fact, it's what made this performance stand out from all the others. Good music is good music, and like others have said: the whole world DOESN'T speak English. I think it would've been better if they had 'all' had sung in their native tongues.
And that my friends is the power of music.....it transcends language barriers. A very beautiful and mesmerizing tonality to her voice.... People who respond to this video need to remember that the eastern tonal system has a lot more variance than the western tonal system that we in the USA are used to hearing. That's why at times it may seem like she is all over the place or singing off key; the reality is that this style of music has many more increments between our "half step" notes.
great voices....remember watching the show back in 2003/2004...she was one of the singer that I actually remember....the tune of the voice just crazily sounds good...even though i dont understand it...
I dont speak a word of Arabic either but been to many hookah places when I lived in southern california and I actually really like arabic music and the language is amazing. This sounds like a very nice song.
u know what: every person who says diana was being stupid when she sang in arabic when every other idol sang in english is himself a stupid person. Cant u think for a reason why she did that? because that's what arabs are supposed to do, do their own stuff, get their own ideas, and sing their own language. I have full respect for her.
ughhh....simon was the rudest....not as rude as he could have been considering everything he's ever said but still...the 2nd judge was very respectful and openminded. i happen to love middle eastern music and diana has a gorgeous voice. i liked that she sang in the higher range (for an arabi female singer) too. i would hope she'll record this on CD in the same register. as for 1st judge, not too mean, but not too welcoming. can anyone stomach a non-english sound?! jeeze!!
i tot she has good voice. you know how difference a definition of good voice is.Some type of voice is considered good, mutually around the globe, but some type of good voice is rather regional/ nation-based. take a look at indian singers. They're big in India, because people there prefer that kindda voice.
Wow!!! Simon's comment was really..............I don't know how to say........truthful I guess. She did flip the competition from being karaoke. Plus I agree with the guy who commented earlier on the european guys singing american songs. Doesn't suit them at all.
Simon said she had an amayzing voice. He just didn't like the fact that she had been performing in another language, as he had no idea how it would've been compared to the original song. The person who won world idol did a flawless performance of U2s beautiful day. Diana could've forgotten a huge chunk of the lyrics, and there'd be no way for him to have known.
who said that other languages are not allowed??! it's just dumb... if they were not allowed, she wouldn't have been able to sing it, would she?? the judges were only saying that to win votes of ppl in the entire world, u've got to be able to connect with them. and it's just hard to connect or even to just communicate with someone who doesn't speak ur language, it's not impossible, but defo hard
she didn't win did she? I thought that weird looking guy won and kelly came in 2nd? Why is everyone saying she won? I think shes great though (i am arabic)
I voted for Diana, and I love the fact that my country voted her in third place when most of the other countries put her near the bottom. It really puts a dent in the monolithic stereotype that Americans are all ignorant and xenophobic. I applaud her for staying true to her culture - Meanwhile, the Dutch and German guys tried to sing American songs in English and sounded very unnatural.
I see World Idol made by 10 english countries and one Foreign country. So that means world is English.I dissapointed at some point that only english songs performed.
@alnarweeg92 well said al narweeg i admire your caring about your ummah as for mistery what a selfish person he or she is . obviously those people dont see or maybe dont care .
Wow i remember all the family gathering in front of the TV watching this when i was little.. I don't remember Simon was this harsh .. he could have said, you have a wonderful voice, good luck .. Why being a butthead ?
the biggest mistake is for a famous and successful Arab singer to appear in such a competition. I mean Arabic music and songs are millions of times better than Western music. And what's the result? A Jew like Simon downgrades all of this! Just Listen to her wonderful voice
Tony It's a matter of preference, those who are used to a certain type of music have a higher chance of liking it than someone who is not used to that same type of music.
I voted for her when this was on. I thought it was awesome she sang in her own language.
I must disagree with anyone who says she should sing in English. Arabic is such a beautiful language and it is always better to be loved for what you do than to have a big audience of something you are not. By the way, I don't understand a word of Arabic.
This actually got 8 points from USA, more than any other country gave it! Interesting...
wow! angelic voice! so beautiful and soothing to the ear! go girl! you are so great!
I agree with brhumgorst, the fact that Diana was highlighted in the way she should have been is a definit product of globalization. Hopefully there will be a World Idol in the future.
i love this song .. and her voice is amazing .. and i think it's ok if she didn't win .. we all know she have the greatest voice and personality .. you should see her now after she lost lots of weight .. sooo pretty !! .. anyway .. thanx for the video
she sings in her own language >>> SHE IS JORDANIAN
She has such an amazing and mesmerizing voice, love it, I remember I saw this on tv when it came on originally however many years ago and how the pure emotion she sang hit straight into my heart and stirred me inside, one of the most beutiful voices and song combined I have ever heard.
her performance was my favourite on World Idol.

This is real music! Thank you so much!
I love this song, gives me good memories from Jordan (Urdun). greetings from Hungary
Greetings from Jordan
I loved Kelly on World Idol, but this is the performance I keep watching over and over again!

She stomp this song out. Her voice is amazing.
je l'adore grave

I really liked her performanced, even though I didnt understand the lyrics, it was really enchanting, and catchy.
Dickson: Did you like it?
Simon: No
Dianna: Hmpf!
haha such akward moment!
wow just the most flawless performance!
woow her voice is insanely good
great voices....remember watching the show back in 2003/2004...she was one of the singer that I actually remember....the tune of the voice just crazily sounds good...even though i dont understand it...
Makes me want to learn Arabic.
I dont speak a word of Arabic either but been to many hookah places when I lived in southern california and I actually really like arabic music and the language is amazing. This sounds like a very nice song.
i remember watching this years ago and she was deff my fave..didnt have a clue what she was singin about but amazing
she's good actually..!! and i think its not fair if we compare diana with kelly! Both of them are good..!! I like their voice,, its so pure...
u know what: every person who says diana was being stupid when she sang in arabic when every other idol sang in english is himself a stupid person. Cant u think for a reason why she did that? because that's what arabs are supposed to do, do their own stuff, get their own ideas, and sing their own language. I have full respect for her.
thank you very much!!!
Im so sad world idol didnt have more people singing music in their respective languages diana was def one of my top 3

Arabic is really beautiful language
ughhh....simon was the rudest....not as rude as he could have been considering everything he's ever said but still...the 2nd judge was very respectful and openminded. i happen to love middle eastern music and diana has a gorgeous voice. i liked that she sang in the higher range (for an arabi female singer) too. i would hope she'll record this on CD in the same register. as for 1st judge, not too mean, but not too welcoming. can anyone stomach a non-english sound?! jeeze!!

No way...I find this song beautiful o_o
It's because of comments like that why people think so low of America these days!!!
Wow!!! Simon's comment was really..............I don't know how to say........truthful I guess. She did flip the competition from being karaoke. Plus I agree with the guy who commented earlier on the european guys singing american songs. Doesn't suit them at all.
her performance was beautiful. Kelly was the best
Actually it was her first original song after winning in Arab world..
Sorry for 13 years later answer 😂😂
@nivodeus you really should hear her with " my heart will go on "
she is amazing .
It sounds like she's singing "Sunny Moments Suck"
LOL

who said that other languages are not allowed??! it's just dumb... if they were not allowed, she wouldn't have been able to sing it, would she??

Her performance was nice, but the best Idol is Kelly Clarkson; sorry guys. I am Arab and understand that song, but still, I love Kelly.

mabtestahel melhem zein howa super staaaaaaaaar
It strikes me that there are a lot of people from Poland that watch Arabic clips altough the the language is quite different...
i think there's something wrong with the tempo !! .. it sounds faster than the original track .. maybe that's why she sounded weird !!
Also Kelly hat auch in ihrer Heimatsprache gesungen. ;)
MN
I see World Idol made by 10 english countries and one Foreign country. So that means world is English.I dissapointed at some point that only english songs performed.

Who made English the worldwide language? Nonsense. I don't think it is.
Then why do you speak and write in english in the first place, ironic isn't it
احترم ديانا لانها غنت بالعربي
Zo oud
The all look more English than the so called English
Get over it. That was months ago. Im a wiser, new person!
Wow i remember all the family gathering in front of the TV watching this when i was little..
I don't remember Simon was this harsh .. he could have said, you have a wonderful voice, good luck ..
Why being a butthead ?
He's a racist. That's why
@@pmanlicious7117 How was he a racist? He gave her the best compliment of the night. He told her she stopped the show from being a karaoke contest.
A guy from Norway won - since when is Norway considered "Anglo"?? lol

Tony It's a matter of preference, those who are used to a certain type of music have a higher chance of liking it than someone who is not used to that same type of music.
thank you very much!!!
