- Nikon just released the new Nikon Z6iii and for the price of this camera, it is absolutely stacked with amazing features. One of them being, internal RAW recording for video. There's not too many cameras out there that can currently do that and those that can, are way more expensive than this.
24mp partially stacked full frame sensor
20fps on the electronic shutter
14fps on the mechanical shutter
120fps in full res jpeg
internal RAW video up to 6k60fps in ProRes RAW or NRAW
Pre-release recording
New autofocusing system from the Z8 and Z9
8 stops of VR or vibration reduction
5.7m dot EVF
4k up to 120fps and 1080 up to 240fps
$2500 USD

120fps at 10mp (cropped jpg), 60fps at 24mp (full res jpg)
Nikon Red
I would wait for z7 mark 3
Just get the Z8
120fps are not full res jpeg but 10mgp but still a great camera
Don't worry, in about 5 years a compact camera for $1000 will do all this. Seriously, though, who honestly thought a decade ago that the camera market would be this lively in 2024?
This camera looks like the real next generation Lumix G9. That's it, I'm switching to Nikon!
I want it.
Is it better than a7iv
If you can't figure that out for yourself you have one rough future ahead of you..."better" is always relative to your needs, not anyone elses
On paper yes
In reality also, autofocus may not be par to a7iv but rest all is far more better.
@@bhargavrajyaguru6150 Let's be honest about it, if you can't figure out the autofocus with these modern mirrorless cameras, the problem is not the autofocus, it is the user.
Leagues ahead, great rolling shutter performance, great dynamic range, more codecs, internal raw, faster processor
I would say the Lumix G9ii is the best value camera on the market right now although I'll agree in full frame terms this isn't terrible.
I like the watch more 👌
Can this camera record BRAW with a Blacmagic assist?
i bought it and i just returned it, it really feels like a improved z6ii not as a something really new
That is what it is. The name is literally z6iii which means 3rd version of z6 series. If you want a new different camera you get the z8 or z9 but those cost thousands more.
Derp!
Well, z6III is an improved z6II.
And in Sweden its 3300 $
It does NOT have the same auto focus system as the z8/z9. You couldn't make a 1 minute video without getting one of the most important facts about the camera wrong?
What's different? All other reviews say it's the same, except that bird tracking is baked into animal tracking instead.
@@fotografalexandernikolisprobably the same but the sensor readout speed of the z8 and z9 is faster enabling slightly snappier focus.
@@sbroadbentphoto It kinda depends, for AF speed it's not only the full readout speed that matters, but rather the scan rate. If two sensors have different readout speeds (like Z6iii ~1/70s and Z8 ~1/270s) but both scan at the same rate like 120hz/fps, that means both sensors give the AF system 120 measurements per second. That's why cameras like A7iv can have good AF despite a slow readout sensor.
Readout speed is of course important so Z8 will be slightly better, but it's not necessarily the most important metric.
Just 2500$ HHHHHHHH
the price is higher
$2499 USD
2500 only the body 😂
Uhhhhhh, yea? In what world are you getting a camera of this level and a lens for under 2500? If you think this is over priced you don’t understand good or good lenses 😂
Buy the z8 the z6iii isn't it folks!
Yeah… but does it make me a better photographer?
No sir! It might help you get the shot easier or faster but that's about it!
@@StefanoLombardoYT Pretty annoying to see that dead horse argument yapped over and over again honestly. If someone is coming from a camera without flip display he might find they can get more creative with shooting from different angles thanks to that display for example.
@@fotografalexandernikolis That's why it's a stupid question not even worth answering. Don't know what gear they have, how are we gonna know if it'll make you a better photographer lmao?
No, Camera can make you a better photographer learning photography make you a better Photographer not the camera.
what the fuck is a zed
The correct way to pronounce the letter Z
@@DannyWright-pg6ehnot on America, and this dude sounds American.
Mostly made for video 🤷🏻♂️
2500$ nah...
Beast, until you shoot NRAW + NLOG between 3200-5000 ISO and that sensors starts going haywire flickering and color shifting. No thanks. Unusable camera
Unusable because you described a very specific situation or because you don't know how to deal with NRAW and NLOG files. I have the camera and it suits me just fine.
@@cgthevision8958 - Riiiight….. I and TONS of other shooters have no idea how to shoot in NRAW + NLOG lol thanks UA-cam expert. We all had it wrong and you had it right. Even Nikon is looking into the issue but perhaps even Nikon is clueless.
You know if you go up to 6400 iso, that goes away completely? Nice
@@sonofnothing - It doesn't. It significantly reduces, but it's still there. That's in any mode, SDR, HLG, or shooting in NLOG. Im sure Nikon will fix it soon, and with it I hope they kick out a NLOG2
@@truthkeeperfilms fair enough. I don't have my hands in it yet, but watching this video, I did see the weird iso glithcing completely disappear at 6400 in this Morten Hilman video. He specifically mentions it.
ua-cam.com/video/WW68q7iJ130/v-deo.htmlsi=B5J9Xo2jODmxxtIo
I am hoping that could be fixed with firmware?
Articulating screen is a No No for me. Z8 is too big and heavy for my needs.
Didn't like the flip screen
Inaccurate
Unfortunately, the tracking and autofocus on the Nikons aren't very consistent and solid like Canon's.
Maybe you are stuck at 2021
@jklbd4815 Maybe you should check out the current reviews and specs on the Canon EOS R5 vs the Nikon Z8 and Z9 like I have. Neither of the current best Nikon can outperform the most current Canon, when it comes to auto focus and tracking.
Absolutely ignorant statement!
If you have a minimal notion of what are you doing with a camera, the AF is absolutely competent for any job.
@@Sebas-sg1kj No it's not. If you have watched plenty of reviews on the Nikon Z8 and Z6iii, both have trouble maintaining solid focus and locking onto specific subjects as soon as another subject enters the scene.
Not better than the Z9 or Z8!
Nikon can't do , its now known to all ,
