Is this the only option? For large varicose vein. something about pulling veins out just doesn't sit well with me. What if u don't get them all... What about pain after procedure how can I stand all day at work?

I was seen today and recommended to get this done and I asked the dr “what if I don’t get it done” she said it’s not life threatening, more of a cosmetic issue but to prevent further damage I would need to wear compression socks for the rest of my life except while sleeping, keep legs elevated avoiding sitting in chairs with feet on the floor and keep them active to promote blood flow

@@beachbum-mk1cu thank you! Yea I was supposed to get this done but I backed out. 3 months later the vascular surgeon I went to closed his practice moved to Florida. So I bought a pair a compression socks nothing extreme just sports ones and compression sleeve. Wow it makes a world of difference. So I'm just doing that for now

@@user-pq8vh7ed8u I got stylish compression socks off of Amazon for about $25. for 3 pairs, I’m blessed to have a bed that elevates so I can lay on my bed and have my legs elevated easily and it’s comfortable, I started eating at the recliner in the living room, dr told me to avoid regular chairs where my feet are on the floor when possible and I started back at the gym to get blood flow in my legs again, I have no intention on getting this procedure done especially after watching it on UA-cam, I hope by sharing I can help you and anyone else that may read this

@@beachbum-mk1cu yep my appointment was so rushed and something just didn't feel right about it. Him closing his practice 3 months later just confirmed my suspicions. I bought a few pairs of Amazon and discount surgical. I did read about ultrasound guided scerlotherapy it does seem a lot less invasive. But no one does it near me that I know

This procedure is required when the valves in the vein don't work as they should, so the blood pools on the lower extremities instead of going back to the heart. This is not something cosmetic (when you NEED it) If you don't fix it then you end up losing your leg(s) with the progressive damage.
