- Look, it's a ridiculous-looking shoe, so you're getting a ridiculous-looking review. The Brooks Aurora-BL is the latest creation to come out of the Brooks Blue Line lab, and trust us - we were as skeptical as Steven Hawking at a fourth-grade science fair that the information we were getting was valid and correct. But this is a lightweight, max cushion daily trainer that revs right up to tempo speeds with hardly any effort. It's a weird but fun shoe and we can assure you it's legit, especially if you liked anything about the Hyperion Tempo or Elite 2. Limited release on 6/17 (updated after the video was made) for $200.

Wow, the production value of these videos are off the charts ! Very futuristic shoes Brooks, Salomon has been making shoes like this for about 2 years now (Ra max, predict). Shoes look interesting. Will give them a try, especially if/when they offer additional colors that aren't so hideous. Not down with this orange sherbet popsicle/white combo. Are the believe in the run time travel white suits available for purchase ?

Extremely Stable for such a high stack height. No wobbling from side to side at all... No rolling ankles in this shoe... I have narrow foot...
Fit like glove & plenty room in toe box...
Material is see through in forefront of shoe so can see clearly whatever socks one is wearing or toes if not wearing socks...
Love Segmented separation of heel...
Lacing Good...
Heel Nice, Snug & secure, but not too tight...
Rubber on out soles probably won't last long...
However, if like feel after couple days will most likely get me another pair to wear once current ones wear out...
It's expensive shoe if tread wears quickly, which I think it will...
It's prototype shoe to tests, develop & experiment with multiple techniques in one shoe...
This would probably be perfect replacement /addition to Beast, just add same type of rubber on the Beast so get long tread wear...

Choose your sock wisely 👍. That midsole pump button looks like a future Amazon dash collab. Easily ordering Tide to wash your running gear.

I still have a pair of the Neuro 3. Maybe I'll take it on the track and see how it feels today. That shoe was still 9.3 ounces but without the cushion!

You could use the Aurora-BL for race day, but this is a great style for an every day trainer.

Sounds like the Aurora bl is a much better shoe than the Neuro. The Neuro is on my worst shoe ever list in the number 1 spot. I met the designer at a trade show and I don't think that he was very happy with my assessment of the shoe. I can't wait to try the Aurora bl, it sound like a huge improvement.
Yeah the Neuro was trash, this one is the opposite
Love my Tempo, the fit and feel from the nitrogen infused foam is just the best so am looking forward to these sometime when it releases.
I like that it's futuristic looks is still subtle and the colour combination not as loud.

Is this strictly cushion shoe? Is this shoe not meant for someone that has flat feet and needs support? I have been running in the Adrenaline GTS for years, but these look very intriguing.
Watching a few videos and believing in the run has a strong secret hate for the brooks glycerin.

Brooks should probably clear this up, but I believe DNA Loft is the foam in the Ghost and Adrenaline gts.

I never wear reflective clothing of any kind ever...
Because I'm never in danger of being hit whether on trail or road...
When on road i go against traffic & I'm never on road where have to worry about traffic crossing or otherwise...
When cycling I have lights & radar so not only can I be seen but I'm alerted to vehicles ~ 100 meters behind me as they're approaching in real time
