It's Phil for me, 11 rings out of 13 finals appearances in two different decades, sure he had MJ,Kobe and Shaq but when he coached the 90's Bulls and 2000's Lakers no other team has won more than them, no other team went more to the finals than them. Phil out-coached Pat in the 90's and Pop in the 00's, Kerr was his player back then, and to be able to control the ego of MJ and Kobe is already an achievement in itself.
Out coached Pop? Not sure about that. They definitely had more talent than the Spurs which I’m sure helped. But he didn’t do much in the 2004 Finals with overwhelming talent now did he?😳
@@albertwang6465 that’s kind of a silly statement how many coaches won without at least one superstar in their lineup? I can only think of one in the modern era and that was Larry Broen who coached the ‘04 Pistons past the Lakers who had Phil Jackson at the helm.😑

To be the greatest coach ever you can’t have all your championships attach to one guy. Phil has done it with multiple. Pop without Duncan sucks just look at him since 2017 he has sucked!
Good point, but he's not just coaching one guy. He's coaching a whole team. Yes that main player is easier to coach with one style, but every player on the team, every year, needs a different approach to bring out their potential. Pop did it with a ton of people

He's crafty, doesn't use MIND GAMES/MANIPULATION (unlike Phil Jackson and Pat Riley) on his players. He PREPARES them WELL, MOTIVATES them, tells his players STRAIGHTFORWARD to PLAY SMART, an give their 100% EFFORT.
