Thanks for the wonderful review! I remodelled my kitchen with recycled birch cabinets from a school home economics room. I found local carpenters that custom made them for my 1970’s house. I love the real wood & still have some refinishing to do on some doors, but they are good quality. Our costs are so high in Canada even though we have lots of wood. I spend most of my day in the kitchen, too.

Absolutely love your kitchen! Although I’m probably the odd one out and liked the old kitchen as well lol. Perhaps it’s just nostalgic for me and reminds me of my grandparents.

I'm in love with your chrome mixer. The chrome ones I find are more of a dull grey with an actual chrome & reflective mixing bowl. Did it come like that or did you repaint it/get it custom?

I have to be honest, it’s Way too white for me…I’m more of a rustic cabin lover…hence because of my preferred style, quartz countertops wouldn’t be my first choice but I’m glad it suits you….stove is beautiful but I would guess really expensive…I’m happy you are enjoying it

Whats your review on your sink now? Staining, cracks, chips, scratching?
No staining, cracking, chips, or scratching. It's holding up very well! Anja
Chipped quart after only one year - yikes! Quartz seems overrated to me, it's technically gravel mixed with glue. At least with granite if it does chip you can get it repaired and you would never know it was ever chipped but quartz is not repairable. Solid surface counters are fabulous too. Other than the quartz, your kitchen is lovely but would love to have seen more views of the kitchen. You didn't show us the whole kitchen.
Well, the chips are so small that you can barely see them. They don't bother us and we love our quartz counters but I wanted to mention it. Thank you for commenting 💛 ~ Anja
