Technically though “cottagecore” is a fairly new term, cottage gardens themselves have been a thing for centuries! There’s books and other resources galore if you wanna look into that, cottage gardens tend to be half layout and half plant selection. Some plants are particularly known for the “cottage” look, though you’ll want to look into which ones thrive in your region because not all of them likely will. They’re also a great garden type for incorporating some food or herbs you want to grow, as their original use was for medieval peasants to keep a personal supply of certain useful plants around. Good luck!
I’m planning on planting Camassias and snakeshead fritillaries(I think that’s the name) in my shady back garden and black tulips and daffodils in my sunny front garden. I love crocuses and snowdrops as well 😊
I hope the bunnies didn’t destroy all your hard work! I have a memory of planting a heart of crocuses for my father for when he came back from a work trip. I hope it’s still growing strong in that old house.
I adore your dress. Everything about your home and landscaping is lovely. When will you ahow us inside of the house? I know it is equally as lovely as the rest!
Thank you for the reminder, I just placed an order for bulbs. Not crocuses tho, as we have deer. Deer love crocuses, especially the purple and blue. I instead ordered some other early bulbs that are bee friendly and will brighten our dull spring lawn.
I absolutely love this look, but I'm wondering how do you trim the grass? My husband loves his lawn mower. 😊 I would love to replicate this if I could. Thank you for sharing this.
Uh oh… the bunny turned me off. I had been planning on planting a crocus lawn, but I have a front yard full of bunnies. Pretty sure I’d be wasting my time. lol
AWWW THE BUNNY!!✨🫶🏼🩷
So lovely! I tried this twice and gave up. All I was doing was making an expensive groundhog salad bar.
Lol. As daunting as that is, it sounds really funny.😂
you should make a long form video of how to start your own cottagecore garden!! i would really love to have one..
yes!!! i’d love this too. i hope she sees this.
What a great idea!!

You , your home, your garden are straight up from a fairy tale book, so beautiful.

She actually killed the bunnies. It's in one of her most recent videos.

No…..she said the bunny was eaten by a Fox shortly after the video. How is that her fault?

Crocuses are very early, very short lived blooms. They usually die back before the grass has grown long enough to cut.
Im so glad you researched! Its exhausting watching so many people plant invasive plants just bc they look nice
That's exactly what she did :) it's in one of her most recent videos. Those crocuses are toxic to her native wildlife
Soo beautiful ❤
Your yard is so beautiful ❤️
How do you mow the lawn
How long do you leave the leaves before the fist mowing?
Is it expensive to get so many bulbs? Where do you get them from?
If you have Lidl in your country around October has many bags with bulbs for like 3€
Holland Bulb. Look them up on the web.
Are you harvesting the saffron for cooking?
How do you keep the grass from growing to tall without mowing?
What kind of soil for these bulbs? Acidic soil ok? Thank you
I just LOVE your cottage 🌸💗🍃and it's my goal to have a similar place, I'm about to move to Cornwall, are you in that county?
I love you
