Hello Pamen, so nice to hear from you and thanks for your kind words. I haven't published much new stuff lately, due to problems with my recording equipment, but that has been resolved, I hope. Best regards, Carl.

I really love what you do. You sing with alot of feeling. Your guitar playing has it's own voice and goes great with your singing. I also love how you have so much respect for the history of the songs. I perform some of the same songs. You are someone I really learn from
    Thank You and keep going.

Carl I am completely grateful to have been able to listen to such a great performance that you have just recorded, it is incredible your skill on the guitar and how you manage to generate so many arrangements that sound excellent, and the bass voice that you do is amazing, I just love how you combine the guitar with such skill along with such a passive, calm and captivating voice, I got completely into your version that I enjoyed it, now your two versions of this song are my two favorite versions. Thank you for listening to my comment, and while you can never stop telling such wonderful and interesting stories about all these beautiful songs. By the way, you should someday make a video telling the story of how you got into music, and how it became a passion for you. Take care and God bless you!

What a lovely, heartfelt comment Matthew, especially from one who knows first hand how much work goes into this. But comments like yours make all the work worth it, thank you, Carl.

Hi, I'm one of your fans coming from China. I feel sad about your ears issues and I can see as a music lover or a pro how suffering things are. Hope you keep safe. I fond of your voice and your guitar playing also,it’s so touched and moved, I’m a kind of blue young man lol,but I love your introduced many old standards which all have great melodies and poetic lyrics. I play jazz guitar self-taught by myself as well,I think my city has nothing about jazz at all that’s hard for me to learn playing with other people, So I made up my mind and wanted to go abroad studying jazz to immerse in jazz culture..... Too many words by the way, thanks for your work on UA-cam. Sorry for my low level English.

What a beautiful, heartfelt comment, and thanks for your concern about my ear condition. I’m sorry that your city doesn’t have very much jazz going on, but luckily you have the internet and You Tube has many great jazz performances and Tutorials. If I find anything that might be helpful, I’ll send a link to your channel if that is possible.
No need to apologize for too many words and your English expresses your feelings very effectively, so much better than my Chinese!!
Good Luck in your Musical Endeavors! Best Wishes, Carl.

@@carlr.distefano7928 I'm pleased 😀 with your response. I found out learning jazz standards by ear and it is a more effective way than reading music and I do love these old standards, both in melody and lyrics.Respect and appreciate your work.
I want to ask you a question about music and that's What is a good way to improve my time feel when I am playing or comping?

Sorry for my late response. I'm no expert on this, but you might try playing along with some of the many great Jazz recordings. One that comes to mind is the double album "Seven come Eleven" by Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, Ray Brown and Jake Hanna. Also, don't expect miracles, slow, steady progress is ok! Good Luck, Carl.

@@carlr.distefano7928 When I heard some great jazz players or peers I just thought I wouldn't have that kind of talent... I did transcripted many jazz standards by ear and wrote them down by lead sheet
I recently prepared practice and focus on some of songs like Deep in the dream, smoke gets in your eyes and my romance ,or in bebop style like hot house,Ornithology and Moose the Mooche(I knew that they were Jazz Contrafacts What Is This Thing Called Love?,How High Is The Moon and I Got Rhythm)
