Thanks for the review! If I have limited space, mostly going to listen to music, watch movies, and use them to play guitar on amp sims and occasionally record guitar for fun at home, would you say these would be ok? I can't really have 8" speakers, even 5 or 6 are big because of the cabinet.
I'm guessing the most use for these would be, as you said, going to someone's place, recording some vocals, guitar, etc, and listening back, together with others, to determine 2nd takes, etc. In that case, more than 1 person would be listening and the "triangle" setup would not necessarily be used? Would you say that the weird connecting cord between the speakers is adequately long enough for this (common) situation? And, do you think that these speakers would work well for this type of situation?
Hi Tim I read these have an auto power off feature if there are 20 minutes without music which then loses the ARC saved setting - do you know if that is true? Seems like it would be annoying having to keep setting it.
Omg..my first thought too...I kept forwarding the video to get a glance of the speakers but there's barely any....Just this guy blabbering into the camera endlessly. #FailReview
Hey Tim, recently got a set of these myself. They sounds great, but have one quirk that I was wondering if you experienced. When turning them on via the switch on the back of the monitor, it takes about 10-15 seconds for audio to start to come through. Is this just a normal thing, or are mine weird?
@@TimTalksAudio thanks for checking. Seems like they take a while to wake back up after putting them in standby mode as well. They seem to be working fine when the do wake up/power on. Hoping it’s just a quirk and not a defect lol!
Hello e thanks for your vid review . Would really love a fair comparison with the iLoud micro . There are not real review or video comparisons around, about these two different and similar speakers
Lazy, no. It doesn't take much to set them up, and that's the idea! It shouldn't take long to set these up and get working. In your home studio, could certainly could use these as your speakers, but if it's more of a "permanent" space, you could also go for different speakers for a different budget. At this price point? They're pretty good!
They will work for your home studio. The ARC will not eliminate any problems with your room/listening environment, you should still try to treat your room!
So this has DSP therefore latency.. so no good for tracking amp sims through them as all that latency adds up - audio interface, amp sim and now the GoAux

Partially true. I bought one and found the "feature". But you don't need to reach behind, just double click the power/volume knob can wake it up. It will take ~10s, which sounds a bit long but actually fine.
I swear to you, if you run the VST5 autofilter in Studio One 6, you're a great man, I promise you, because it's impossible. 😠 The VST5 Automation filter is not recognized in Studio One 6
Thanks for this vid, Tim. I saw it last year and has been on my Wishlist since. And today, I made the jump and just bought them
Fantastic! I hope you enjoy them!

Does your volume knob turn round and round with know stopping point. Mine does and was wondering if it is normal. Thanks
Im thinking of buying them to record guitar and vocals. Can you plug them into the Focusrite?
what cord is used to connect the left to the right speaker? I lost the cord but do not know what it is called to buy one.

its all good and dandy. but how to reset arc to factory settings?! cannot find any info about that.
Just turn off the back switch or unplug the speakers. Every time you power cycle them they return to its original settings, including ARC.
Great review! Very informative - thank you!
Thank you for this! Is it better to use the USB port or the aux port to connect to laptop?
They are just options for connection! You can choose which is best for you.
do i need a special adaptor with these if i use a audio interface and plugins to play guitar through them
Nope! These can be hooked up to your interface and be your output device. All you need is the cables to go from interface to speakers
I was hoping to see the speakers, but instead I see you
I have two videos about the KRK GoAux4's! you might want to check out my other video! ua-cam.com/video/qO_OJmkJH5o/v-deo.htmlsi=Do9n8MjWV8XgLwU_
Same. You can play music. It’s okay under the fair use act.

What cable did you use to connect the goaux4 and the audio interface?
just a pair of TRS cables. You can also use XLR
I wonder how they stack up against the Yamaha hs4
I'm not sure, but I'd love to compare! @yamaha lets work! lol

@@m23u23hey! I know this is a little late but I know my rokit g3's have done the same the entire time I've owned them; it seems pretty normal

These or iLoud Micro monitors?
I haven't heard the iLouds, so I can't compare. Maybe IK Multimedia will want to send some for that review!
Judging by specs and features these are objectively superior speakers.
Would this be a lazy man's way to have studio speakers in his home studio?
