    Thanks for this vid, Tim. I saw it last year and has been on my Wishlist since. And today, I made the jump and just bought them

    Thanks for the review! If I have limited space, mostly going to listen to music, watch movies, and use them to play guitar on amp sims and occasionally record guitar for fun at home, would you say these would be ok? I can't really have 8" speakers, even 5 or 6 are big because of the cabinet.

      Yes, these will be a very good option for you!

  • @bmyregaard

    I'm guessing the most use for these would be, as you said, going to someone's place, recording some vocals, guitar, etc, and listening back, together with others, to determine 2nd takes, etc. In that case, more than 1 person would be listening and the "triangle" setup would not necessarily be used? Would you say that the weird connecting cord between the speakers is adequately long enough for this (common) situation? And, do you think that these speakers would work well for this type of situation?

    Does your volume knob turn round and round with know stopping point. Mine does and was wondering if it is normal. Thanks

    what cord is used to connect the left to the right speaker? I lost the cord but do not know what it is called to buy one.

    Hi Tim I read these have an auto power off feature if there are 20 minutes without music which then loses the ARC saved setting - do you know if that is true? Seems like it would be annoying having to keep setting it.

  • @gecharo

    its all good and dandy. but how to reset arc to factory settings?! cannot find any info about that.

      Just turn off the back switch or unplug the speakers. Every time you power cycle them they return to its original settings, including ARC.

    • @TimTalksAudio

    Hey Tim, recently got a set of these myself. They sounds great, but have one quirk that I was wondering if you experienced. When turning them on via the switch on the back of the monitor, it takes about 10-15 seconds for audio to start to come through. Is this just a normal thing, or are mine weird?

    • @TimTalksAudio
      @TimTalksAudio  Рік тому +1

      I’m not sure. I’ll double check mine and see if I experience something similar.

      @@TimTalksAudio thanks for checking. Seems like they take a while to wake back up after putting them in standby mode as well. They seem to be working fine when the do wake up/power on. Hoping it’s just a quirk and not a defect lol!

    Would this be a lazy man's way to have studio speakers in his home studio?

    • @TimTalksAudio
      @TimTalksAudio  Рік тому

      Lazy, no. It doesn't take much to set them up, and that's the idea! It shouldn't take long to set these up and get working. In your home studio, could certainly could use these as your speakers, but if it's more of a "permanent" space, you could also go for different speakers for a different budget. At this price point? They're pretty good!

    • @GTSongwriter

      @@TimTalksAudio Would these make good for a home studio because of ARC and you could save money on sound dampening the room with these?

    • @TimTalksAudio

      They will work for your home studio. The ARC will not eliminate any problems with your room/listening environment, you should still try to treat your room!

    So this has DSP therefore latency.. so no good for tracking amp sims through them as all that latency adds up - audio interface, amp sim and now the GoAux

    Is this Amazon review true?
    "Auto Standby Ruins Anything Positive
    Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2024
    If there is soft or no sound after about 30 minutes, these speakers will automatically go into Standby Mode.
    To turn it back on, you have to reach behind and flip the power switch twice. I didn't know this about these speakers and after some research, it's a plaque amongst KRK users. Many are having to hardwire modify their power sources to disable.
    They sound awesome but it doesn't matter as this stupid feature is a major annoyance and can easily break your focus or attention."
    I need to know if this is true and if so, is there a way to turn off the stand by? If not, then I understand why they never sold many and have stopped the production of these monitors. Other than this potential flaw they are perfect for my travel needs so please answer my question. It will be very helpful for me and many others🙏

    • @seiasagiri6934
      @seiasagiri6934 Місяць тому +1

      Partially true. I bought one and found the "feature". But you don't need to reach behind, just double click the power/volume knob can wake it up. It will take ~10s, which sounds a bit long but actually fine.
