    I put the exact same product down in my 3 car garage 9 years ago and it's still holding up fine....a couple of spots are troublesome, but not that big of a deal. The biggest cause of wear and tear actually comes from hot car and truck tires parking on it, which can (and has) caused some lift off...no biggie, some day I'll get around to redoing it. The biggest lesson I learned is 1) the 2 gallon kits are actually a slightly lighter shade of grey than the 1 gallon kits. 2) the two inches of paint that extends past my garage doors is getting sun faded....again, no big deal after 9 years.

    Not sure if the price has gone up lately but the cheapest I've seen for 2.5 car kits lately is $250, now about $282. HomeDepot etc. charging a LOT more than this too if you just walk into the store.

    I watched your first video before doing mine (thanks for posting) and I couldn’t agree more with all your observations and your review. Mine came out great. I ordered an extra kit when I bought mine so I was sure to have same color batch (I ordered from Home Depot and they shipped directly from Rustoleum). I returned the extra kit to store once I was done. Definitely need at least twice the amount. I used two 2.5 car garage floor kits to cover my 800 sf garage. I also would have added the anti slip additive if I did it again (it’s slippery when wet and I live in the northeast so snow melting off the cars makes the garage slippery). The prep is key to great results as you stated so don’t skimp on the effort up front.

    Did my 2.5 car garage last week. I had to grind the floor because I had used a sealant on it in the past. I used "3" two and a half car garage kits. No way I could have gotten by with two kits. I would recommend the same for anyone that has to grind the floor.

Thank you

    Question. I put on rock solid 4 months ago and following the box directions. Now when my wife drives her car in, her tires slip. I don’t remember reading anywhere in directions saying to add anti-slip. Now it’s too late because it Rust Oleum says to do it within 3 days.

    Do you drive in and out of the garage often? We are in and out of ours multiple times a day and am worried about how it holds up on frequent hot tires. Also, you said you used 2.5 kits. How many square feet is your garage and we’re you using the 2.5 car garage kits? They sell in 1 car size and 2.5 car size. Last, it looks like you cut it to the line where the door comes down instead of going to the expansion joint of the concrete, just past where your garage door closes. I was thinking of pouring extra polycuramine into that joint as I saw another video recommend that to lessen the chance of it peeling up at that ‘seam’.

    • @RobbyVsGarage
      @RobbyVsGarage  3 роки тому

      I don’t drive in and out a lot. My race truck mostly just sits in the garage for storage. Occasionally I drive it and park in the garage and haven’t any any problems. My garage is around 525 sq ft and I was using the 2.5 car kits. I stopped inside the garage door to prevent the door seal from sticking to the product during curing time and because anything exposed to sun will discolor over time.

    I have a nice 3 year old concrete driveway. How careful do I have to be with all the prep chemicals washing out onto it. In other words, how quickly do I need to propel them off the driveway before they mark it, and then will they damage the grass to the sides?

    • @RobbyVsGarage
