underrated is not the word. Tim is woefully underrated, the one liner king. who else can publish one or two thick books of their jokes and then not repeat any of them ever.
I think it's a stretch to go down this route. He sells out big theatre/hall tours every time. For someone decidedly PG-13 and somewhat niche, he's about as popular as you'd expect.
@@bladechild2449 He is, it's a shame though. His humor is pretty funny and light, a good break from everything else going on. The one liner niche he's in has pigeon holed him and he is as popular as he can be doing it, I think his absurdist and goofy side is more appealing overall. He could shift to some weird hybrid of ross noble and ken dodd or something, similar to his appearance on taskmaster, and it could work. I’m sure you know this, but just in case - the videos are always a shortened version of the full conversation on Spotify so make sure you check them out there too!
I went to see Tim live in March. I had expected to be treated to a good hour of puns, having had no idea that the title of the show 'Plastic Elvis' s anything more than an indication that there would be some Elvis-based wordplay in the show - Instead, I got the next best thing to a full Elvis show. As my name suggests, Elvis Presley is my number one passion in life, so while Tim lived his dream, he also, to an extent, made mine come true. He was fantastic.
Really enjoyed this conversation. You can hear the mutual love they have for Elvis when they're talking about him. I'm glad Tim is sticking to his guns regarding his garden, I love how wild it is!! Looking forward to seeing Breeeep if it goes on tour 😁
My first thoughts on seeing hisgarden were: Let me in to do a garden makeover! I'd do it for free - and I'm in Australia (but happy to come over for a gig).
I met Tim Vine and my mum asked if I could take a photo with them. I thought I'd try to make him laugh by saying "I don't need a camera, I just press my nipple. I have a photographic mammary!" Absolute tumble weed silence. I took my phone out, took a photo then walked away in awkward silence.
Hey Tim, I once went back to the library in Worcester Park to return some books and they had knocked it down.. (Opposite where Waitrose is / was). We are talking up to 2002.
Tim Vine reminds me very much of Paul Merton. Both men are extremely talented, intelligent & insightful. Fantastic performers, and so versatile. Paul Merton often says how he doesn't own a mobile or a computer.
This interview with Tim is the North Pole. The one with Reginald D Hunter was the South Pole. Rob is so much better when he knows the guest and/ or has something in common and of course when he/she reciprocates with the humour during the interview.
With films like Elvis, as with BoRap, it's more about telling a story surrounding the legends than sticking to the facts. They're films, and they have to truncate decades of life into one film. So things get amalgamated. What's frustrating is the way the internet runs away with these things, thinking it's the gospel truth scene for scene, when clearly it's a dramatised version of events.
I stopped halfway through because Rob kept interrupting Tim. I haven't seen a lot of Brydon's interviews, but I don't remember that being an issue before.
I saw Tim's Edinburgh show at the Pleasance a few years back, it was one of the hottest days ever, never sweated so much but didn't dare move in case I got picked on. It was a great gig though and spoke to him afterwards.
I saw Stewart Lee a few years ago and due to a mix up the other person I was due to meet there did not show. I was worried that the empty seat next to me might draw attention to me but I was ok much to my relief. Like a pear cider.
He is big on the stand up circuit and is on tv from time to time but has said multiple times before that he hates panel shows as he thinks that its hard to be fast and funny cause everyones going for the same joke.
@@cjastuff1248 That would explain why he's done the panel shows that he has done (Argumental and Taskmaster), which are both a lot more structured and less 'banter-y'.
There's a reflection behind Tim's head of some dude guzzling tea. Now we (the internet) are not known for pickiness - however - this bugged me. Good sir - kindly sit yourself somewhere else or invest in a long straw. Either shall suffice. Because your days of replaying these videos to your friends and family and proclaiming "that's me that's me" are well and truly over! Good day sir!
Part of the thing that kills hollywood for me is all of the revisionism. They screw with the lore of characters regardless if they were real or fiction. They have no problems screwing with the facts to manipulate the story. You should watch razorfist's video "hollywood was always red: A rant". It is very eye opening on some of the "whys".

I love Rob Brydon because he's 5'7" of completely beautiful perfection in a light blue denim shirt.
Thank you for bringing Tim in! Love that guy. He was surprisingly shy on Taskmaster. Would love to see you on that show, BTW!
He was awesome on Taskmaster! He gets better as the series goes on.
I really wish Sean Lock would have been on Taskmaster. Gutted it will never happen.
I think Taskmaster would be a nightmare scenario for him. Kind of the point of Taskmaster: witless flailing & looking like a boob. Not our Rob!
@@hensonlaura I clearly said Sean Lock 🤣
