@@RcNickster709 I caught myself talking so fast while filming this video.... I think that i was trying to keep people interested...LOL. Thanks again my good friend.!!
I know this was done some time ago, but I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to help others. I have just purchased this to use with our FPV setup. I know a little more about it now thanks to you.
Awe, I really appreciate that.! I am just happy that I got the comment notification. A lot of times the comments from a video made this long ago just don't make it to me. As for thos reciever, o still have these installed on test about everything I own. I love RadioLink.!! I have been a huge fan now for several years. Any new RC I get, the very first thing I do is swap out the reciever and add it to my RC6GS. They make a reciever for just about anything.!! So thank you again for your comment. Anytime I can help, especially RadioLink help I'm very happy to do so. 😊
@AMAZINGRC the only thing I can''t figure out yet is why switches 5 and 6 aren't working. I have some LEDS that I want to be able to turn on and off using either 5 or 6 but they do not work as expected. There certainly is a lot to get your head around with this thing, there are plenty of options.
Well I started this video thinking " I may not get through all of this one. But what a great idea for the guys own it" Then all of a sudden the video was over. kept me here the whole time. You made it very interesting to learn about this system. Fantastic work on covering all the details. Have you ever though about writing the manuals for this stuff.. lol .. ;)
These are the comments that I live for.!! I worked so hard on this video. I really appreciate these kind words that you have written. Many many thanks my good friend.!😊
Great job on the video. I have this installed on a 46" gas Enforcer boat. Two separate antenna tubes side by side on the rear. Functions perfectly and actually looks pretty cool with the double antennas.
To be honest... I think so. I always install mine North south east west. Basically, setting the RC car (if it's a car) on its rear wheels, electronics side facing you and install the receiver so that you can read the text right side up. This has always worked perfectly for me for many years. It's possible that I learned this long ago. Remember that there is no real time calibration like a drone or quadcopter. I am assuming that it needs to be installed in this manner. 😊
Hello, catching the BLUES connecting to my tamiya mfc on my semi. Should I abandon for traditional airplane remote or are there tricks to get all the features?
@@AMAZINGRC well thanks, he just seemed like the,” everything whisperer RC Doctor “ and wouldn’t even have time for a complete idiot like me, I actually understood everything you said but will put on my big boy britches and ask him, with your referral!!!! Lol, but thanks, you Rock 😎
Your video was very helpful for my understanding of the different color LEDs this displays, and how that indicates the MODE setting. Thank you for posting it. I am running 2 cars, both have been modified and were hand-me-downs from someone upgrading to all 4x4 and larger scales. Anyway, I am stuck on something very odd: Car 1 runs perfectly. Car 2 has steering but not throttle on 2 different copies of the R7FG (turns out I have both version 1.4 and version 1.3). Now on car 1, it has a version 1.4 and if I take that and plug it into car 2, it gives me throttle. Yes, I thought about throttle limiting on the transmitter possibly causing the "no throttle" problem, but no, it's set to 100% and setting 7 for THSPD is also set to MODE: OFF. Car 2 has a Castle COPPERHEAD ESC that is certainly more advanced than the ESC in car 1, but I can not get 2 of the 3 receivers to throttle forward OR reverse, while the third does, so it is *probably* not the ESC or motor causing the issue. I figure it is either the transmitter not set up properly, or the receiver is not correctly configured. I just don't know what to change... and hoped you would have an idea of what to try. Thanks!
Hello and thank you for you great comment.! I hope I can help you out with thos issue. Personally I would try to pinpoint the device that is giving you the issue. I don't think that it is the receiver only for the fact that it works fine in the other car. I would replace each individual device one at a time to see if you get any other results. Start with the ESC. Unplug the ESC and install another to see if that makes any difference. If the car still operates incorrectly, you will know that the ESC is ok. Then go to the steering servo. So on and so forth. My guess is that the ESC may be damaged. Remember, this RC was a hand me down. Check these things and see what kind of result you get. Let me know and we can go from there.
@@AMAZINGRC Thank you for the super speedy reply! So perhaps the copperhead ESC is finicky or malfunctioning. I can get it to throttle with the R7FG receiver from car 1, but not two other R7FG I just bought (all 3 purchased a week ago) - which is why my original question was about setting up the R7FG receivers - is there any "tuning" normally required. It's running in green LED mode. I can get the originally supplied traxxis 6533 receiver to work fine with the Castle Creations Copperhead (both steering and throttle), so I could definitely sell the whole set as working, then buy a non-sensor ESC to pair with the R7FG - but if I am just missing a setting or tuning issue on the receiver, that's obviously the quicker and easier route. Is it possible that the Traxxis receiver works with the Copperhead because the Copperhead is set up only to work with Traxxis?
@@ByLagarto I should have started with this question first... what transmitter are you using. There is a bunch of tweeking that you can do with the RadioLink RC6GS V1 and V2. What radio are u currently using.??
@@AMAZINGRC with the R7FG, using a RC6GS V2 - and got throttle to work with 1 of the 3 R7FG, but not 2 others. The one that worked, did not work flawlessly - it had some motor growling noises and twitches with throttle control off, for a few seconds after each throttle operation - then it would quiet down. With the traxxis 6533 receiver, using a traxxis transmitter, and this combo works normally - no twitchy ESC behavior.
@@ByLagarto oh my... used receivers too huh.?? There are plenty of adjustments in your RC6GS but I am leaning towards an issue with the receivers themselves... something is very off. You should not be getting wildly different results. How many receivers are we talking.? I hope I'm following along right or I will start to sound crazy... below is the Radiolink web link. In there you will find some great info on your transmitter including an extended manual. They are also pretty good on answering questions. They LOVE talking about their tech. Some of my UA-cam videos ended up on their website years ago. Just remember that there is a language barrier. But they may also be able to help. www.radiolink.com/rc4gsv2_manual
Appreciate you taking the time to explain to us dummies ( me ) that don't understand how this really cool receiver works lol . Couple of ? Can you mount the receiver upside down with the Gyro IDK & trying to operate my light bar from my control ( on or off ) mounting the system in a Cen Reeper & receiver is mounted facing down . Your holding a truck that is near & dear to my heart, the Traxxas T-Maxx my favorite from my youth lol . thanks my friend 💯✊👍
Hello my new friend, and thank you for your wonderful comment. First let's go through your question. I am afraid that I do not have a good answer for your current situation...maybe. Cutting right to it, these receivers that use gyros for course correction need to be installed flat to the pan with only a soft adhesive in between. There is a front and rear to a receiver and if it is installed let's say sideways, the gyro should not work properly. So here's the "maybe" part to my answer. I tried to picture your build and I think that your exact situation may work. If you mount your receiver "upside-down " and yet still be facing forward, parallel to the ground it just "may" work. I'm not sure that upside-down is something that the receiver understands. If you try this you must come back and tell me your discoveries.! Now for your TMAXX comment... I think I am about to raise the hair on the back of your neck. Mine is not a TMAXX at all.! I finally own a vintage "dual brushed" electric EMAXX.! I am in the process of converting it to "dual brushless." This is something that was attempted 10-12 years ago with the people all having receiver over heating/melting down issues. I always knew that our receiver tech has stepped up quite since then so here we are. I found a brand new dual brushed EMAXX two years ago in a small town hobby store for 500$ new in the box. I had to have it. I would've paid 600 for it. Like you, this truck has always been my number one. So I got the truck and it was super slow for today's standards. So I started to research the dual brushless setup and learned how it really never happened due to receiver limitations. And due to the dual brushed short product run. Traxxas went to the much larger single can in both brushed and brushless. As far as this EMAXX goes in the immediate future, I am purchasing two new ESC/MOTOR combos. This time bumping up the quality, power and the like. I am very excited. If you have not seen it yet my latest video is this truck testing out my smallest two pinion gears for the first time. Twin 11s.! I will send you another comment with the link to that... thanks again for your great comment.😎👍🏎
I watched many videos on UA-cam and looks to me that you know most about this transmitter and receiver so I have a question. How do I set up my Kraton 8s so I have to hold the silver button to go in reverse and disable it from its current normal mode.. thanks so much and great videos.
There is a tiny inset button on the side of the receiver. You need to use that to switch from FWD/BRK/REV to just FWD/BRK eliminating reverse altogether. You will need to look up the information on the sequence of button presses to achieve your end result. This may be the closest you are gonna get to your goal. That I can come up with at least...lol
Oh God I'm sure I divine there somewhere. It's gonna be hard for me to find too tho. I'm sure that is part of a video and not featured in the title. Do you have a specific question.? I may be able to answer it. The setup is pretty easy. You need to purchase or make a "Y" adapter for your servos. Basically taking your servo signal from your receiver and splitting it into two. This way you would be running both servos at the same time with the same single signal. Any other questions let me know.
great video....thinking of upgrading to this from my old Spektrum DX3R & SR3100 which only has about 100-150m range btw the R6FG does not have the model battery voltage telemetry if I understand it correctly, right? was thinking of using that one since 400m will be plenty enough for me and it also has gyro but the model battery voltage would be nice to have......so will have to figure out some way how to accomodate dual antennas in my E-Revo
The R6FG sadly does not have battery telemetry. Good news is that the R7FG dual antenna is super easy to set up. The range is bananas. If you have any questions just get ahold of me.
Does the receiver have to be flat on level ground during calibration or turning on the gyro for the gyro function to work? I had to turn it on it's side to fit it into a new receiver box in my boat. Thanks.
Not only does it have to be flat, but North, South, East and West. If not the rudders will act crazy. You can test it by turning everything on, holding the boat in the air and turning it back and forth with your hand. Visually check if the rudders are going in the opposite direction to your turn. If so, RadioLink updated the system. Hope this helps. If not you can still use this receiver and just turn the Gyro off.
Hello! I have a rc6gs remote with r7fg receiver and put it on MJX hypergo 16210. What should I do to make the light on and off like it was on the original remote? Now the light is dim if I insert the connector in the usual way in any chanel except ch7 and bright if I turn it over or insert it in the standard way into channel 7. I tried assigning control to channels through the aux menu and setting limits through the EPA menu. Please, help!
Man, without having this setup in front of me I am at a loss. All I would is start the troubleshooting process. Try this setup with different lights see if you get the same effect. Have you ever thought of trying an on/off switch.?? I have a video for that too. It's an old one but the principle and hardware are the same. Just search RC LED ON/OFF Switch. If you have trouble finding it let me know and I'll hit you with a link when I get a free min. Hope this helps a little. 😊🏎
What do I do if I am already using all of my channels on my receiver? I am using channel 3 for LED lights. How do I adjust the sensitivity of the Gyro without affecting the lights? I’m also using both of my premix’s..
WOW. that's a ton of goodies you got hooked up to this receiver. I bet you got a pretty awesome rig.!! To answer your question, you may have to sacrifice a channel that you already have in use. What radio are you using.?
@@AMAZINGRC .. Thanks for checking it out, rg6v2 so it’s really a 6ch not a 7 but the v3 says 7ch on the TX. Yea… I had to swap the receiver tray for the Felony bcs it fits the MMX8 but has a smaller rx box so I had to loose the electronics I configured for the turbo sounds. Now also bcs I’m wanting to use/test the gyro, it takes up a Chanel so I’ll use the premix I was using to activate the turbo and use the mix to still control the mini esc/lights.. I was using a pwm relay board and used the leads to open and close the circuit to the button on the key chain turbo bcs “off” makes the second sound. SMH the speaker was also the intercooler so I’ll have to make something new. This WAS supposed to be a speed build but it took a turn… I still want to print the light buckets bcs ppl asked how to get them so I’m going to do that for the skyline and for the next body once this is done. Now I understand why ppl have so many of the same car 😂 🤷♂️.
@@toysforboysrc holy sh!t.!! Thats a beast.!! I just went and checked your rig out. WOW.!! Ok, so back to the issue at hand. Me personally I would find out what you have on your VR channel. That's the one that's a dial on your radio. If you have something on that channel that can be either eliminated or moved I would do it. The VR channel is literally made for gyro adjustments. If you have two items just receiving "power" from your receiver you could always use a Y cable and put two items on one channel. Things like LEDs. Let me know what you think about this approach. If this won't do it we may have to look a bit deeper in to what and how you have things hooked up to your receiver. It sounds like you definitely know what you are doing so I wouldn't be looking for a mistake per se, but possibly a different way to hook things up to get you a free channel. We will get this figured out for sure. One thing is certain, your rig NEEDS the gyro to keep all that power in check. 💪💪💪
@@AMAZINGRC … your too cool man thanks!! Hello, thank you for your questions. I have researched these two questions and I am sorry but I do not thine the 8S voltage is a good idea. I nelieve that the receiver will be the weak point only being able to handle max 10 volts. So I would say no on that. As for your second question, I think that the difference between the two is only a firmware update. But I am not totally sure...
I installed mine and for some reason I have to put the receiver upside down for my Gro to be working properly on my RC car. Should I send it back? Is it defective or am I doing something wrong? Thank you.
Probably not defective. Normally the receiver should be installed right side up when looking, top down to the RC with the front pointing away from you. Now when you say upside down you don't mean installed contact side to the chassis, right.? Probably not. Also, you can do a factory reset to the receiver. You will have to look up how, but that may help. Programmed incorrectly at the factory.? Well, try some troubleshooting first, then contact RadioLink, they are good people down there. Good luck.!

Something sounds wrong. I would test out the receivers range outside of the water. You can actually wrap these antennas up Inside of a sealed receiver box and get killer range. You need to try to keep the receiver away from interference too. No carbon fiber, away from esc so on and so forth. Hope this helps...
Super low..!! You will know if it is set too high when your front wheels shake back and forth while at speed in a straight line. I actually had turned mine off completely during a 70mph speed run challenge back in the day. Hope this helps 😃🏎🏆

You an give excellent explanation on how to set up this Transmitter. Straight forward. Question: How would I set up telemetry if my car is running batteries in series? Do I need to create another type of adaptor? Thanks
Hey, thank you for your great comment my friend.!! I am really sorry that I missed this question. Sometimes UA-cam misses these comments on older videos. I just realized that these comments existed. So thank you many times.!! You have a really great question..!! I am having the same exact issue.!! I have a GEN2 Dual motor, dual battery EMAXX. I am thinking that this can be made. I have a video where I made a custom adapter for a crawler. Only one battery though. On my EMAXX I have another issue all together... I am running not only two batteries, but two separate ESCs as well... So i think that I will only be able to get the adapter to work on only one battery. I will have to "assume" that my other battery is running the same... On your truck, assuming that your batteries funnel into a "Y-adapter" and into your ESC... If this is the case, in order to get both batteries in the voltage reading, you will have to create and install your voltage adapter in between ESC and the place that you two batteries become one. So just after where the batteries plug in together and before the ESC. Here is a link to my custom adapter video. This is only half of what you are asking, but it will help with some visuals. I just got one of these, granted I’m only using 2 channels for a gas boat so I just plug my radio batteries into a spare channel, my question is, what if I was using all the channels? Where would I plug my radio battery in?
I’m new here. I like your video. I have a noob question , I have a Baja 5b Gas. And I’m little confused about the power, where I’m going to put the power cable? Channel 1 steering Channel 2 throttle Don’t show where I need to connect the power So where I put the power 😔
Now I'm not a nitri or gas guy. But I do know that the receiver needs external power. I did have a nitro Slash years ago and I just found my old manual. This was powered by a 4 AA pack in channel 3. Now that's Traxxas, so this receiver may be specific to the car... not sure. You can always test things out by installing the power/ channel 3 setup and your steering servos to see if things work... sorry I don't have a good answer. Good luck my friend. 😁
I’ve used this on one of my RCs. Today I installed it on the Arrma Fireteam and with no gyro the steering started twitching on it’s own, never came across it, what could it be?
Thank you for the question. It sounds like the does have a gyro. That's what my speed run car did hhen the gyro was on. Double check that first. If no gyro present see if you can exchange the receiver. My new SCX6 had a receiver issue the day I got it. Big a$$ rig took off on me. Bout had a heart attack. 37 pounds that one. Good luck. Hi bro! This is an amazing and fully-explaining video of my favorite receiver. But what about the gyroscope modes, I still don’t understand why the gyroscope works in both directions - forward and backward? Namely, the front stabilization works fine - the wheels steer in the direction of skidding, but when reversing at full throttle, the wheels turn sharply to the left. I tried changing modes, but they only affect the direction of the counter. But on my previous r4eh-g receiver, the gyroscope only worked when the car was moving forward. By the way, I'm using the RC4GS v2 transmitter with r7fg and r6fg receivers. Thank you.
WOOOOOW.!! Thats very new to me.!! I have not have heard of this before. Like you I have only had this system work in forward. Here is something that just hit me... is your receiver installed North, South, East, West.?? Basically, is it installed so that when you pick the RC up in the air, front wheels pointed to the sky, that you can either read the world on the receiver.?? If it is at an angle of any kind, it could confuse the gyro in the receiver. Let me know and we will go from there...
@@AMAZINGRC I use these receivers on 1/10 Maverick Strada TC and 1/10 Losi 1/10 TENACITY-T. I also have a Trackstar TS4G that I used until recently, it's a full clone of RC4G+r4eh-g. So on the old kit there are no such problems, stabilization works as it should, only when moving forward. I installed the receiver on the model on the center deck as close to the rear axle as possible, and with antennas oriented to the front of car. Recently I wrote to Radiolink technical support, and this is what they answered me: "Dear Sir, This is Amy from RadioLink. Thank you for your support. We clearly understand what you want. But sorry it's not available to turn on the gyro function when moving forward, but disable it when moving backward, because of some technicle problem of different ESC. Sorry for the inconvenience. I know it "says" 90°.... but I personally talked with RadioLink and they assured me that a perfect 90° is far from necessary. As long as you have them separated just a bit, you will get a considerable range boost out of your new setup. Oh, and to answer your first question.... range boost. 😊
Ok. Question....why wen my gyro is turnt all the way up. The tires go crazy wen it takes off. Like side to side crazy..only wen turned all the way up...what I'm not getting is. That the original reciever and radio had it too. But I always kept it all the way up and never had an issue. (Arrma felony)....
Really not sure on that one... I actually hit a forum and couldn't find anything on it. It does sound like it worked when turned all the way up though. They should do that when they are turned up like that. Weird that the dial is not working properly...
Great video. Thank you. Question, the Radilink rc6gs v2 reverse mode is set to normal but when the throttle forward force is applied, it goes reverse. When I set the RadioLink reverse mode to reverse, the car moves forward. Any thoughts on this? I am using the HH 1080 ESC and Holmes Hobbies crawlmaster sport 8 turn Zero timing, universal installation and rotation direction. I appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.
Really sorry I missed this..!! Some of my comments and questions just don't make it through to me. Now even though this question is super old, I'm still gonna answer it. Just in case you never found the answer, and because this is knowledge that applies to all brushed ESC/Motor combos. Brushless too, I just don't know what two wires of the three on the motor to swap on the brushless... So here's what's happening... When you get everything installed and ready to test, you notice that your motor is running backwards. Two things to look for when fixing this. First, most receivers and ESCs have a faster forward than reverse. Some older setups run the same speed in both directions. You need to check for this. An easy way to do this is by sound. Just pick it up and give it a go with the tires off of the ground. You should be able to hear that the speed is different from forward to reverse. This will be important later. There are two ways to swap the direction of a brushed motor. First you can go into your radio and digitally change it's direction. After you do this pick the car up off of the ground again and pull the trigger forward and back. If it sounds like the car is going faster in reverse, SWAP THE MOTOR WIRES..!! By changing the motors polarity, you in turn change it's direction. This should work on all brushed motors. Hope this helps in the future. I am REALLY SORRY that I missed this question...
@@AMAZINGRC I have seen this on some other videos as well. Mine did the same thing, running in reverse. I switched it around on the transmitter, and as far as I can tell, all is well. I'm running a H/W fusion brushless 2 in 1
Do I need to consider any do’s or don’ts for the dual antennas? Can I run one in the antenna tube and leave the other contained in my receiver housing box?

Many thanks for stopping by my channel..!! I use my dual antenna receiver in my EMAXX. My antennas are not set at 90 degrees, but both are in tubes and straight out from the receiver. Im not saying that what you are doing wont work, but if your range is limited the hidden antenna will probably be the reason.
That can totally be done with the correct adapter. I have thrown some pretty crazy stuff at this receiver since I first got it. Had this in my Dual MAX10 BRUSHLESS EMAXX and it did great. Super range for the fast truck.!!
I must just be ignorant I’ve got an E Revo 2.0 duel steering servos. And I’m not up-to-date on RC cars at all. How do I six how do I set up for the second steering servo ? My TQI it has 2channel #1 channels for both servos
Both servos in the same channel. I use a splitter for my EMAXX. Channel one like normal. They sell splitters on most sites. Super Cheap.! Hope this helps, many thanks for the question. 🤜🤛
You know that is actually a great little receiver. I am currently building a new C34 Which will be used for an indoor rock crawling course in FPV. Aside from the long antenna issue on a tiny receiver with amazing Tech I don't see why not. I don't have one on site right now but let me take another look at the receiver and see if it will be a good match for the C34 build. If it is you will see it on his channel. I will do an all you need to know video for it. Can't believe that little thing has a gyro.!🤯 Many thanks for the great question.
I'm not sure you can link this to a Futaba... if you can it would be news to me. Try to Google the two and see if anything comes up. If they are compatible you will find a video that way. Hope this helps, good luck 👍
Very very awesome video thank u so much for all the help I do have. A big question for u how come recivers twitch sometimes after installing them like it seems like they wanna take off on u the first time I installed this receiver it was doing that acting wired I didn’t kno how to install it when I first did it so maybe I forgot to install it the right way I’m thinking huh?
That is a really good question. One thing that will make your receiver twitch uncontrollably is if you turn your car on before you turn on your radio. Always turn your radio on 1st. sometimes it is something as simple is that.😎
what is best way to run antennas ? Can you put them in a spiral maybe a 2 -3 inch circle like a cyclone ? I did that way back when I was doing velodrome racing.
Good question.! RadioLink asks that you install them in a 90° format. However, they totally approved my parallel install in my EMAXX. About 4 inches apart. If you are going to attempt to utilize the full range of the receiver, twisting them together is probably not the way to go... However, there is only one way to find out and that is to run a test. Hope this helps my friend. Thanks again for the question.!!
This is a great receiver for range. I am a big fan and have 4 of them installed in several of my rc cars and crawlers. This would be a speed run setup as well. Many thanks for the view and question.!
Hay I have 2 steering servos in my Revo 3.3 and my old receiver had 2 channel 1 ports for them.. will this receiver and transmitter let me run 2 steering servos without a y cable connection
I'm going to have to look. But I actually think that these can. I also think that the can give you access to each individual servo as far as speed and end point. But I'm not 💯... I'll have to get back to you tomorrow with the final word.
@@sickduck66 Thanks brother.! 🏎😄 as it turns out it can be done . These setups can run robotics as well as twin servos. Channels 1 and 2 for the servos and channel 3 ESC.
Like I paired mine with a RC6GS which has in dash channel mix control allowing me to manipulate the channels as such. Tank, boat, short course, o e steering servo... two. I have 8 cars and trucks on my single RadioLink setup. RC6GS V1 and my R7FG dual. Hope this helps bro.😎
Really sorry I missed your question..! Some of these questions just did not make it to me... As far as your question here, As long as you set the antennas apart from each other and straight you will be in good shape.
Hey, great video! Quick question, I ripped one of the antennas off in a high speed crash. It still works with one antenna, but I took it apart and saw that I can plug a new one in. However I cannot find one that fits. Would you know or happen to have a link of one that would work? I tried getting an IPEX and IPEX4 but both were too small. Thanks!
Wow, thanks for the great comment. As for your question, the only receiver I have ever torn the antenna off of was a Traxxas. After opening that one up I noticed that there were 2 extremely small soldering points almost right on top of each other. This made things for my skill level pretty close to impossible. I do know that some receivers Like spektrum have replaceable antennas. As for this one in particular I'm not quite sure. Let me do some poking around when I get back from work and I will get back to you by tomorrow with some more information. Thanks again for the great question and comment.😎
@@AMAZINGRC When I took it apart, I saw little IPEX connectors, or what I thought were IPEX, that you could remove and snap back in place. However I cannot find any info on what size it is :/
@@Spacecadet0730 So I got ahold of my Rep at RadioLink and presented him with our question and I got a great response. Now there is nothing saying that you must purchase this from the link that I provided, but it is there just in case you cannot find this replacement anywhere else. Really hope this info helps my friend.! Here is the actual email they sent to me... Hi,power on receiver and radio both, you just press the bind button over 1 second, then the LED of the R7FG go to flash, when the LED keep light or check the Signal Tower is appear on your radio's screen , bind success. by the way R7FG only works with RC6GS RC6GS V2 RC4GS RC4GS V2, T8FB, T8S controller from Radioink.

Many thanks for your question.!! I am not exactly sure what you are asking about and I want to help. So let me ask you a question... What is the model number to the RadioLink product that you are asking about.?? I will be able to help a little better... If you are looking for a "GPS Speedometer" I'm not sure this receiver has one.
To RadioLink: Thank you for attempting to answer this... I did not know that these questions were here. Some are 7 months old and I am not sure how I missed them. I will be stopping by this and all of my other RadioLink videos that are still relevant and making sure that their questions are answered.
Hi I got this receiver with the RC4GS and for a couple of times while I was driving the RC the receiver got unbind than I should get for binding again. Does it happened to you?
Hello and thank you for your question. I have not heard of this issue yet from anyone else. One way I can think to troubleshoot your situation is: If possible install receiver/ transmitter combo on another car. Test this receiver in another car for Several minutes to see if receiver unbinds. If the receiver DOES unbind that means the issue is in the receiver. If receiver DOES NOT unbind that means it could be in the other RC car. I think we should start there. Let me know if this can be done and how it goes. Also if you try to contact me today it may take a little while for me to get back to you. I will be at work. But I will return your message. Thank you again for the question.
Really good question. No, this receiver is not waterproof. In order for this to be waterproof you will need to Install this receiver inside a waterproof receiver case. My go-to is the TRAXXAS #24076-3.
That sounds very scary.! I will have to look that up later when I get off work. But I can say this, I have neverheard of this issue before. We will take a look though. I'll get back to you soon...
Separate battery to the receiver will do it. Very common setup, very common question. You should be able to Google the info, with easy diagram. Hope this helps. 😊🏎

Great job on the video. I have this installed on a 46" gas Enforcer boat. Two separate antenna tubes side by side on the rear. Functions perfectly and actually looks pretty cool with the double antennas.
That's exactly how I have my EMAXX set up.! And you are right, looks amazing side by side.! Many thanks for this great comment.!!
Nice to know! I just bought a rc4gs and all I run are fast electric boats.
Very informative. Does the receiver need to be in certain orientation for the gyro to work properly? TIA
@@AMAZINGRC thank you for the detailed info. This will help a lot as I am not trch savy.

Have you done a video about installing a duel servo steering set up with this radio link receiver ? If so, please send me the link .
I've been loving this set up. Only thing I ran into was trying to fit both antennas don't fit well through the straw on my limitless.
OMG, you had me at Limitless.!! Got to get my hands on one very soon. I miss going fast. What do you have powering yours.??
great video....thinking of upgrading to this from my old Spektrum DX3R & SR3100 which only has about 100-150m range
btw the R6FG does not have the model battery voltage telemetry if I understand it correctly, right? was thinking of using that one since 400m will be plenty enough for me and it also has gyro but the model battery voltage would be nice to have......so will have to figure out some way how to accomodate dual antennas in my E-Revo
Hi..I have recently bought radiolink 6GS,v2 radio with 7FG v1.2 reciever..can I put 8s battery for telementry in it?can't get right answer..plz guide me..
and what is the difference between v1.2 and v1.3 of R7FG recivers?
Good luck.!
I tried looking out for a contact number. Do you know how I can contact them quite find it

Something sounds wrong. I would test out the receivers range outside of the water. You can actually wrap these antennas up Inside of a sealed receiver box and get killer range.
Thank you again for the questions, super sorry for the delay.

I just got one of these, granted I’m only using 2 channels for a gas boat so I just plug my radio batteries into a spare channel, my question is, what if I was using all the channels? Where would I plug my radio battery in?
Will this work on a revo 3.3 with reverse
Nitro 3.3.?? I don't see why not. 🤔
I’m new here.
I like your video.
I have a noob question , I have a Baja 5b Gas. And I’m little confused about the power, where I’m going to put the power cable?
Channel 1 steering
Channel 2 throttle
Don’t show where I need to connect the power
So where I put the power 😔
Now I'm not a nitri or gas guy. But I do know that the receiver needs external power. I did have a nitro Slash years ago and I just found my old manual. This was powered by a 4 AA pack in channel 3. Now that's Traxxas, so this receiver may be specific to the car... not sure. You can always test things out by installing the power/ channel 3 setup and your steering servos to see if things work... sorry I don't have a good answer. Good luck my friend. 😁
@@AMAZINGRC ok. Thanks so much.
Good luck. But it sounds like this receiver may have an issue.

@@AMAZINGRC
I use these receivers on 1/10 Maverick Strada TC and 1/10 Losi 1/10 TENACITY-T. Recently I wrote to Radiolink technical support, and this is what they answered me:
"Dear Sir,
This is Amy from RadioLink. Thank you for your support.
We clearly understand what you want. But sorry it's not available to turn on the gyro function when moving forward, but disable it when moving backward, because of some technicle problem of different ESC.
Sorry for the inconvenience. If any other question please feel free to contact me.

Why 2 antenna wires?? Makes it very difficult to set 90 degrees in cab of my Honcho.

Hello and thank you for your question. I have not heard of this issue yet from anyone else. One way I can think to troubleshoot your situation is:
If possible install receiver/ transmitter combo on another car. Is R7FG waterproof ?
Really good question. No, this receiver is not waterproof. In order for this to be waterproof you will need to Install this receiver inside a waterproof receiver case. My go-to is the TRAXXAS #24076-3.
@@AMAZINGRC thanks mann.. you rock..

Mine is flashing red and beeping loudly.the transmitter is flashing low power, what's up?
That sounds very scary.! I will have to look that up later when I get off work. But I can say this, I have neverheard of this issue before. We will take a look though. I'll get back to you soon...
Hi, you just need to check your alarming seting, if still cannot solve that, please contact us: after_service@radiolink.com.cn
How to power for gas models
Separate battery to the receiver will do it. Very common setup, very common question. You should be able to Google the info, with easy diagram. Hope this helps. 😊🏎
Awesome video!
Hey many thanks for your great comment..!! Really sorry I missed it. Sometimes on these older videos, some comments just don't make it to me. I always answer my comments..!! So when I find one that slips through it upsets me. So thank you again for the great comment. It really does mean a lot to me.

Hey my man honey sorry to bother you but I can't seem to get in the right direction and I see that you know pretty much a lot about this transmitted and receiver is there a way you can tell me I'm having a problem with my reception I don't understand the decibel beats for a minute and all that stuff is there a way that you can help me out please
Ok, o should be able to help. This may take some time and a few messages to get it done. I will ask you a series of questions to get things figured out. First question: what radio and receiver are you using.? R7FG-R6FG.? RC6GS V1-V2.? Let me know. And thank you for your question....
💥💥💥👍💥💥💥🖐😋🤗🙏
Thank you many times..! This is the best receiver that I own.!!
Mine keeps cutting in and out
That doesn't sound right. Have you tried to contact RadioLink.??
Don't get to excited my one 3 different one's with telemetry gitter coreless servos and few times take off with no reason
Hey, thank you for your great comment my friend.!! I am really sorry that I missed this comment. Sometimes UA-cam misses these on older videos. I just realized that these comments existed. I have noticed the same issue with a dual servo setup in my EMAXX... I fixed it somehow, but it was so long ago that I don't remember... I still use my V1 RadioLink radio to this very day. Love it... Thanks again for the comment. Sorry so late
@@AMAZINGRC I know I didn't expect this but I figured out servo was jittering like hell but that was shit servo advertised as best servo on one of UA-cam channels
I use this radios for long time I built on r4gs long range radio with WiFi range extender 4w I have about 1500m range for speed runs with infraction
I am not RC specialist don't get me wrong recently I fry 3 motors just because I was trying to push to much
Last CC 1520 1650kv within 10 minutes despite the motor is rated for 8 s i personally doesn't recommend that at all to run 8s from my experience
u must be sponsored by flex seal
Not sponsored... but they have treated me well and so has their product.!! I trust their spray with my RC Life.!! 😊
@@AMAZINGRC can you install that receiver on practically any rc ?
LOL Just solder the leads to you exsisting connector and then your done no need for an extra connection
I have a cool video showing just that.! Great minds, right.? Just in case you don't get one from the factory I show how to make one. Really appreciate you sharing that knowledge. If I didn't know that already I would've totally used it. Most people don't want to share this stuff which is crazy to me. Like you I share most if not all of my knowledge. I have seen people use my ideas way better that me. That just tickles me. Really appreciate the great comment my friend.!
@@AMAZINGRC are you going to get and review the new RC8x transmitter?
@@roberttruesdell6151 I still have to check it out. You are the second person to tell me about it today. I thought I knew everything RadioLink, but I was wrong. I'll get back to you on that for sure.!
Does it work on lipo 6s?
Oooooh, you mean the battery level indicator... you know what, I'm not sure and I don't want to be wrong on this one. I do know that RadioLink has a UA-cam channel and they are super approachable. You can hit them with a descriptive question about the R7FG and I'm sure they will get back to you. I love their products, super good quality stuff. 👌
