    Why cut and solder when you can just buy a jst to xt30 adapter?

    Bro, you just saved me a boat load of research trying to find lipos for this setup lol. I wanted to find two 4S batteries that would fit in parallel in that small compartment or even a single 4S with about that same capacity, ~1000mah+ range. I have been using the AA battery tray & now that I'm getting to the ~5000FT round trip on speedruns, I can tell the range is suffering at the extremeties of my runs. One of my subscribers, K Bash, said that using at least a 3S battery will solve the issue as he uses the same controller & is having no more range issues at these distances.
    Thanks again for sharing & leaving links as well! :)

      I do have plans to go over all the setting in close detail on this transmitter at some point. As far as exact setup tho, I don’t own a speed runner. I’ll see what I can Learn though.

    Thanks for your videos, thanks to them I bought this radio, you would have a tutorial teaching how to bind a new receiver to this radio I have 3 cars and I wanted to know how to add a new R7FG 1.4 receiver?

I love my DX5C I've used it like a year now have 7 cars on it... been pretty good so far....

    Question i got two 2s i like to put in ky radio link now each battery has the jst plug on them would i just do positive to positive and negative to negative there 1000mah each

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  10 місяців тому

      Yes, ultimately the blacks all go together and the reds all together into one single two prong jst connector. This will make your battery 2000mah
      You”ll know its in parallel if the controller reads 8.4 when turned on. Double time at 8.4v.
      Parallel Mode:
      Connection:
      Positive (+) terminals of all batteries are connected together.
      Negative (-) terminals of all batteries are connected together.
      Effect:
      Total capacity increases (mAh adds up),
      Voltage remains the same (as each battery is in parallel).
      Series Mode:
      Connection:
      Positive (+) terminal of one battery connects to the negative (-) terminal of the next battery.
      This pattern continues, forming a chain. The remaining positive terminal of the first battery and the negative terminal of the last battery are the output for your device.
      Effect:
      Total voltage increases (voltage of each battery adds up),
      Capacity remains the same (mAh of each battery stays the same).

    I made a adapter plug with a 6s balance plug. Can run any of my batteries. But my go to is a 2200 3s I velcro to the side of the unit. Dont forget to turn your controller off. My battery lasted 3 days almost lost the battery. Voltage was so low.

    Just got my hands on this controller. I do like it. I am a little concerned running that much power, 4s, through that tiny wire though. Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

    • @EastTactics
      @EastTactics  2 роки тому +1

      Should be fine, just be sure to never put those batteries in the controller at full capacity. Charging them up two storage mode is fine…3.85 volts per cell (ish) will still keep that thing running for weeks on end. And you don’t have to worry about all that power being charged up in those batteries sitting for long periods of time.

      It won't be a problem, the radio is rated for up to 4s and will use only minimal current(mA) and likely uses an internal regulator to step down the voltage to something like 5 volts. Wire gauge (thickness) limits maximum current rather than voltage, that's why the motor needs bigger wires... The radio will never pull enough to exceed the capacity of the wires so no need to worry... 👍

    Enjoyed your Video(s), on your review of the Radiolink RC6GS V3 7ch, so I purchased one & 2 Receivers. I want to put the 4s battery in the Transmitter but when I go to look for a "JST 2 Pin Plug" it appears there are more than one type, style, etc., Would you please provide me with a Brand, Part Number, or something so I get the Correct JST 2 pin plug. I surely would appreciate it. I'm going to use it with my Boats. Super Thanks, and I look forward to watch more of your Videos.

      @EastTactics  Рік тому +1

      Hey, thanks, I really appreciate you watching my videos and liking them. As far as that two jst. Don’t fret too much about the specific brand. It could be any two prong adapter. When you pull the battery tray out all you’ll see is two little metal prongs sticking up and you can fit any style jst on it. You could even snip off the red jst wires from the battery tray itself and use that. Also, you might have parts laying around in your parts graveyard like small fans, etc. that might have an existing to prong jst already on it. I can find a listing for some JST on Amazon but you might have to buy a big bag full of them. so honestly, it would be easier just to snip the wire off of your battery tray since you’re no longer going to be using it. But if you reply back and still would prefer me to find it, let me know and I’ll look for them for you
