Wow, you can tell you were meant to be a teacher. You explained the hand positions SO well and instantly relieved my shaving anxiety! Thank you so much :) Very good information
Great shave, thank you for making this video! I took my Barbers test 8 years ago, and it's my first year to teach barbering. I would like to ask you a question about the exam. Do the students still have to wear the barber jacket at state board? Again, thank you, after seeing your video I feel confident now!
Not sure what you mean by “wipe off”. If you are referring to removing the lather with a steam towel you should remove all traces of lather during the second steam towel. If you are asking if the razor handle should be removing lather each time you stroke an area the answer is yes
@@jasonbarberandeducator7247 they actualy took our practical away now its just the written i was just asking cause i take my test in a week and my friend who just took his said theres a alot of question about the strokes so i came her to relearn them
Thank you. Very good instruction. Yes. One can tell that you're an instructor.

Do you wipe off every stroke?

Yes. We outsource that to DC Services. 469-386-5102

Yes but I’m not sure if they use manikins or a real person

So for the Texas practical barber exam we don’t have to have a blade
No
@@jasonbarberandeducator7247 thank you for the prompt response. Have a good day.
It clearly says in the TDLR packet for testing that the blade MUST be loaded prior to the exam
@@viktoriyaoakes8404 ma’am I do this every day with a 100% passing record. Those words are there because we were shaving real people before Covid

You’re supposed to hold the razor blade on the shoulder not the shank also your pinky goes on the tail it’s not called the “tang” smh 🤦♂️
I don’t know what book you learn from but I’m teaching from the Milady 6th edition textbook. The most widely used textbook in North America
