In our wildest dreams could we EVER suppose a Supreme Court Justice would be the sole ruler of my beloved country, Brazil. I’m 66 years old and I just never suspected something like that would come true in my life time. There are more than 1.000 peaceful protesters rotting in jail, after having been gathered in a concentration camp, in outskirts of Brasilia, the capital, and later transferred to prisons everywhere in the country, for over a year now, on charges of terrorism and attempts to overthrow the government, without the right to a lawyer. It’s a shame Paulo hasn’t mentioned that! Lord, have mercy on our people!

The electronic voting machine used in America was build in Brazil, given to Venezuela and imported to America. When I audited the box back in 2000s they actually said that being untrackeable is part of the objective. Very Dodgy if you ask me.
Where can I learn more about Brazilian voting machines? I'm Indian and we've had four successful general elections using electronic voting machines. Ours are made in India. Curious to know the difference between the machines

@@johndoe-vc1we People in Brazil started publicly accusing the machines of being tampered, based on made up evidence, because Bolsonaro (who calls himself a "center politician", but his voters insist on pretending he is "right wing", despite his policies in 2019-2022), lost the election to Lula in 2022. Curiously, the machine was reliable when Bolsonaro won against Haddad in 2018, go figure. Anyway...
In Brazil, it is illegal to make such accusations to nothing with back it up. And our Supreme Court, in response to that, took some very questionable actions, including things that are against the brazilian constitution.
Because of that, these so-called "right wing" journalists, like Paulo Figueiredo, started to play the victim and pretend he wasn't inciting a coup d'etat when all of this happened.

This is a sobering interview. Great Work. While trying to locate the entire interview, came across a Prager video which described Brazil's court sanctioned censorship which stripped Mr Figueiredo of rights. In reality, America has become Brazil, since a chasm exits between effective speech - ineffective speech and outright censorship. Within a democracy effective speech eventually leads to change, Ineffective speech grants the illusion you are free - yet it's ability to change policy is pointless, while censorship is the silent-death of freedom.

He doesn't live in Brasil because there is political persecution of conservative politicians and journalists comanded by the dictator that now is after Elon Musk. Being under investigation by the current brasilian totalitarian regime for such a laughable excuse is an obvious sign of political persecution. So, you just confirmed everything he denounced.
There was no coup attempt. The army considered it, but ultimately rejected it. There is no such thing as a thought crime. Considering a coup, but not even initiating it isn’t illegal anywhere. On an unrelated case, former PGR (DOJ equivalent) Rodrigo Janot brought a gun to the Supreme Court with the intent of murdering Justice Gilmar Mendes, but changed his mind at the last minute. Guess what, he wasn’t charged for attempted murder because he didn’t go through with his plan.
