@@jwnbz BMW made the S50B30 and S50B32, both being 3.0L iron block engines, but the B30 was Single Vanos head while the B32 was a Dual Vanos head. In the US in 1994 the M3 came with a S50B30 then later switched to the the aluminum block S52. So once again, this car does have an S50!
@@ubmotorwerks 1st. BMW Europe made S50 for the European Market. Only a feeeeew M3 with a S50 were sent in North America as a special Edition. 2nd. ANY real S50 had a single VANOS. That's the US Market who had the "S50B30US" the first year of M3 then switched the code name to S52. Why ? Because these engines are based and used M50 parts that's why the single VANOS and no ITB... 3d I let you just check Google Image to compare... An S50 has clearly a different look as the M50/M52/S52. 4th Yeah that's just about a code name but those engines are totally different. A S50 is closer to a S54 than a M50... But also, S52 were made with a cast iron block not in aluminium... If it has an alu block, it's a scam (swaped with an M52 block (non-is)) S52B32 block : 11111405514 S52B30 block : 11111402380
Thank you! It is still up in the air whether or not we are going to do individual trumpets or a plenum. Really just comes down to what ever ends up being more tunable. Here are the quick releases I used, from experience they hold up and are built just as good as the more expensive ones you find on Jegs and Summit Racing! a.co/d/85k3E1s

This is sick man!
That is cleannnnn!
Amazing work!
First S50 with an ungrade on M5x parts !
Nevermind, it's just an S52 American engine...
Not sure what you're getting at, but this is absolutely an S50.
@@ubmotorwerks S50 was only available on Euro E36... For the American's market they have made the S52, which is what you have, and it's based on M50.

@@jwnbz Do you own one?
Awesome work! You planning to run the plenum with the ITBs? Or open trumpets?
Any chance you can share a link for the quick release hardware?
