°°The eponymous _If I Should Lose You_ by Earl Burtnett (m) & Robert Stowell (w) is an earlier song (1927). Richard Himber, once again, had the classiest arrangement for dancers.
Thank you
At 75 I am remembering my parents who were married in 1936. They would have listened to this music.. I am having a nostalgically melancholic time
I have to shlack my Dad's walking stick, because he walks all over the community with it! The tender walks I have with him are memories I'll cherish.
That is such an awesome comment Veronica. 🙂

I liked the well known ones and the not so well known ones, just a good mix.
They are all similar some a bit more bouncy, some a bit slower, good tunes from the thirties and together they make a good combination.
Super excellent with very good photo

YOU COULD DO SEVERAL VIDEOS ON EDDY DUCHIN ALONE. MANY, LIKE MYSELF REGARD HIM AS THE MOST ROMANTIC AND ELEGANT SWEET BAND OF ALL TIME !!
Glad to find other Duchin fans. It seems many collectors don't care for the society bands that much.
Very good music of 1930. The time of the Bonnie and Clyde. Thanks for the music. Genious.

Utterly sublime set! The Del Lampe, Bob Crosby, Casa Loma, Mal Hallett, Selvin "Auf Wiederseh'n My Dear" and Himber "If I Should Lose You" are terrific. Top honors, though, have to go to the Dorsey "Gotta Go to Work Again"; that's one's a favorite of mine of long-standing. Does the label say it's with the Clambake Seven? -- because it's actually the full band; I love that vocal trio, comprising lead singer Jack Leonard, arranger Axel Stordahl and trumpeter Joe Bauer -- they turned up on a number of excellent Dorsey sides.
It does say Clambake Seven on the record label. You sure know how to pick out the best selections, the Hallett and Himber.
Thank you Pax. :-)
