Good instructional video and thanks for posting. I have worked on a few of these and would like to add a bit of a tip. At 5:29 you make reference to the drain plug being partially hidden by the small cross member, in less than a minute you can remove one of the securing Allen headed bolts and lossen the other which allows this cross member to be moved completely out of the way making for a much cleaner drop of the oil and easy access for tools & torque tightening. It is not a stressed member or connected to any suspension components it is there to secure some of the many front splash shield securing screws. I think it is a 8mm or poss 9mm allen headed bolt up top with a 16mm or 17mm securing nut.
What shows through in every video is that you are a great guy, dude. You enjoy learning and sharing what you have learned and you’re a funny guy. Keep it up.
Don’t understand how you’re UA-cam channel didn’t gain more followers these past years ….your one of few On UA-cam that actually knows what their talking about!
Very informative, clear and concise. Cleary the 36MM socket for the oil filter cover is only required for the W12 vice the V-8. You didn't mention what size socket is required for the V-8 Twin Turbo?
Hello, I find the 32mm is a bit tight on the filter cap hex which is fine when undoing but not when replacing ! I use a 33mm socket which fits perfectly.
What an absolutely disgraceful oil drain placement. These companies like to brag about their engineering prowess and then do an absolute poop job on some of the most basic things. Not the first time I've seen it but it still always shocks me. BTW a flexible flat sheet funnel is great for this kind of stuff. Pretty cheap and available online.
@@normalguysupercar FWIW, I have a '14 Continental GT V8S and I do my own oil changes. I *do* remove the two bolts that hold the cross brace on and things get easy fast. I will say the first time I saw that bar, I thought "WTF?" Super easy to remove -- I don't remember any 'bushing' issue to deal with. Great video! It's also the first video I've seen on your channel and will be subscribing now. :)
Yikes! Next time get a strip of aluminum foil and make a little ramp for the oil to slide down and not make a huge mess - no need to just let it drain on to the front brace!
Just seen a receipt for 2100 for an oil change at Miami Bentley just had to see how it was done lol definitely not worth $1500 labor fee anyone can do this 😂😂
I’d be a bit concerned if my technician was saying things like these guys… ‘’should be enough…. Probably enough oil…’’. You better be damn sure it’s the right amount of oil. I’m not trusting my car to these guys. I’m paying the $800 to know it’s done right.

I appreciate that!
That's a gorgeous car! Good job Paul!!!
Thanks!
Ayyy Fred !!!!!

Because we're not manufacturing drama. Lol
YES! Let’s get more super cars wrenched on…. I need some variety in my life
You got it!

I don't recall

nice trick on the big O-ring, I'm gonna try it next time I do my wife's Grand Cherokee oil change
Right on

Yeah, next time something like that would be handy.
Oil vacuum for the win... Wife wants a Tiffany Blue Bentley drop top sooo bad.... Nice video!
I don't like those vacuums, they don't get out as much oil
Thanks guys I get nines next month you saved me so much of a headache
You're welcome
next time rermove the 2 bolts that hold the cross bar. That cross bar is just there to hold the engime cover torqs bolts
Great stuff !!!! Love the Continental GT !!!! Im going with a GTC W12 as it's the only convertible in my fleet...
Right on!
Now get Meg to Drive it! We need more of her reviews.
True.
So what size was the oil filter socket?
No idea
Does that all black walls work in reality? It looks fabulous on video but wondering how well it works in person. I guess if you have enough lights???
It's cool looking but certainly not as good for light
Love that car, tell Paul when he is over it I'm a buyer
Haha I will let him know
I surprise this thing even has a dipstick, our Touareg doesn't . You gotta go into the screen to the service setting to check it every now and then.
I suspect the newer ones don't.
Definitely there is a market for a DYI shop with an assist…
Right?
I have one close by me. You rent a lift for hour intervals. They supply tools and help if you need it. The place is always busy.
Hey Paul, you gotta start somewhere 👍 go for it Bro.
Yeah I enjoy helping people get into wrenching. It's great to see
What an amazing car
It's something
In the NEXT episode Dan changes out the Champagne Flutes in the Bentley.
Lol those are pricey
Where is it?
OMFG, Dan's going to work on a Bentley. 🤑
I must say, it was rather easy.
Dear Dan, you should have showed your Valdez oil change on F430 that would have put Paul under less pressure to perform ;0) All the best !
Lol true
Can u add ams oil
AMS oil?
@@normalguysupercar best full synthetic oil there is
Do the radiator flush next
Hmmm
Is there a reason you wouldn't just remove the cross bar? It looked like it was just a couple bolts on each end.
My only concern is the bushings condition.
@@normalguysupercar Makes sense. I'm sure that "Bentley bushngs" probably cost a fair penny.

Great video!
Thanks!
Ballah Bentley. Sup Paul.
It looks super dark in that shop or is it the camera?
Shop.
Nice car. Nice work Paul. :)
Thanks
Shouldn't you be able to make an oil diversion tray using aluminium foil?
Yeah I should have
Awesome car!
Thanks
Why not remove the cross brace? Looked like two bolts
Wasn't sure on if that was necessary
He should take his dad out to eat. 😂
Haha
Trip reset does not work on any model 2012 and newer
Oh interesting
What’s its expensive

Yeah, that would have been smarter.

Yeah
My car, would like to use it.
Ok
Where is it?
That wasn’t any different than changing the oil on just about any modern car. Sad they were charging him $700.
Yeah that's surprising.
You actually prefilled one of those filters.... You shouldn't even pre fill a normal filter.... Teach him the correct way...

Well we're not technicians. And you know there's a large variance on what amount of oil passes for sufficient right?
Land barge
YUP! But a 650HP Land Barge!
I go to prison do a stent...and you got a lift and a building.....noice!
Huh?
I got out ,checked ur channel out and its blown up....congrats
@@rx7sportscar ah shit. Well, that's not my place to be fair... It's Richard's but he's letting us use it. :)
