I’m disappointed that they changed the Ferris wheel scene at 9:06. In book Tori clarifies that her and Michael aren’t a straight couple and talks about possibly being asexual and what asexuality means for her. It was very affirming to see that represented in book version and I wish it carried over to the show as well
I love her so much she's like me ace, drinking through a straw, loves black clothes, has a depressive vibe (she's so calm and kinda stoic, emotionless, like she has dysthymia or something? or autism?)
yeah i find that frustrating too, but on the other hand maybe they are saving it for the final season and wanted to focus more on how she can give more love than just to charlie and that she doesn't need to be so worrying about him and live her own life i am sad what they missed, but they still put a great closure dialogue for her and charlie there ❤
I did some digging and it was actually Oseman's decision -- she actually wrote the scene but decided against it because there was no buildup to the coming out scene. I was also extremely disappointed in the ommision of that asexual representation, but I trust in Oseman's judgement. I have no doubt that they'll be an even better, more in-depth scene to Tori's storyline that she's deserves

I really hate how rushed Michael's introduction was. The story in "Solitaire" of how he and Tori met is incredibly interesting but in the adaptation it's reduced to nothing and doesn't really fit with Tori's arc up to that point. I wish they'd waited until season 4 to introduce him and give them the screen time they deserve.
I agree, but this isn’t Solitaire, and we don’t really get to see much of Tori’s story anyways. This is Heartstopper, and more about Nick, Charlie, and their friends than anyone else
@@rory.boryalis I agree with you, and that's why Aled was cut from the adaptation - because his story would have been very difficult to fit around Heartstopper. I feel that's that's exactly what's happening now with Michael.
It is quite sad, but it is actually quite close to how much michael was in the comics! Plus, michael and tori not getting much screentime opens up the possibiliy for a solitaire adaptation in the future:)
