Okay two things can be true at the same time. Trading Caruso makes sense if we’re gonna embrace the rebuild again but not getting any picks from the team who may have the most in the league is piss poor. Look at any other trade going on rn and teams are throwing first rounds picks around like it’s mandatory. Deni Avidja just got the wizards multiple picks .. and for the Matas part of it. Time will tell but I hope we add some shooting this off-season.

Filipowski has not been drafted yet. Is there a world in which the Bulls can trade with the Jazz in order to draft him with the 34th pick? Filipowski won't slip past the Bucks. Also, Julian Phillips and Darren Terry are similar players that can't shoot. Is there anyway that we can trade one and still add a backup Center?

Man, let's start building with these young guys & develop them to see what we have. Allow these guys to explore options elsewhere. That window has closed with what we tried to do with Ball, Lavine & DeRozan. Pat Williams needs to be more of a focal point & stip being a 3rd or 4th option on this team.
Ok so just from a skill set and for I think the Bulls got it right. A 6’10” wing who can block shots, put the ball on the floor, explosive. It’s a type of player that the Bulls needed. Size, wing help and potential good shooter. He looks like a cross between Andrei Kirilenko and Franz Wagner.

The G League Elite is different from the regular G League.
Anybody can if a team picks you up. For instance our old friend Alex Caruso was undrafted and Okc picked him up for his first G League season. Essentially he was a walk on. In this case? The G League Ignite took Matas on. The Ignite was a developmental team created by the NBA to develop top young prospects that could skip or leave college to play on it, or come from overseas. The attraction was more pay and an opportunity to play within an NBA developmental system. It was a good system and while not as competitive as the NCAA or Euroleague it did offer a very well rounded program for young prospects who were looking for an opportunity to play in the NBA and did well at setting them up for success. It also offered the players life skills training, mentoring, counseling, and financial guidance. The program was short lived on account of a changing business climate...namely the NCAA allowing college players to make money on certain avenues. Otherwise it was a well respected program meant to show the NBA could develop players for its own league "in house."

Knecht is 23 and this team is in no place to justify drafting him especially after the Caruso trade, expected lavine trade and demar walking/sign and trade this off-season. You take a player with a higher ceiling in this situation, Matas was the right pick.

Drafting Malpractice at its finest, Dalton Knecht is day 1 ready to contribute and the Lakers won the draft. We're in an upside era and it's crazy to me, give me a Proven guy that dominated at the highest college level over a project especially if we're trying to win sooner rather then later.
