Your videos help me so much! Ive been spinning for a year now and everyone is blown away by my progress. I just watch your videos and dedicate myself to them. Great job breaking everything down!
Hello Drex, I like your videos so much; and they are much useful for me to learn and to teach poi in my club. I am considering whether the upper petal gets much thinner than the other three while doing a stall-like move at the top? On the other hand, in order to make the petal next to the top one be the place actually (i.e. on the horizon straight line), one should move his hand faster. But in this situation, the top petal will be thinner and thinner as the arm getting faster, right? If I do not want this happen, what trick can I adopt there? My approach is to do an anti-spin extension there (i am not sure this saying proper or not). However, as you mentioned in your video, the gravity also makes it difficult to make the graph perfect if I just use a usual way to spin. I mean, spin each petal in the same principle. It still looks thinner than the bottom one.
a more experienced poi artist will utilize their fingers more instead of tight dead fist holds. you have better control especially when dealing with fire poi. good luck kids.
