@@cow1816 Not quite, actually. If you look at the borders they're quite different and missing the Military Occupation zones that are part of it in the game. This is actually from an internet map series that was later adapted into the mod, with many changes to improve the gameplay

There should be an "Interventionist" ending where after the events of the August Coup, North Korea, Vietnam, China and Cuba (Also people from Communist Parties around the globe) somehow managed to intervene militarily on the country and avoid it's dissolution. I think, that in the New-Old ending it would be more likely for the Soviet government to annex Belarus, Transnistria, Southern Ukraine and Crimea. These regions were loyal to the Soviet government, so they would stay in the USSR, rather than leave it.
