A New Pond with lots of Darter Dragonflies

A couple of days ago I was passing a new little car park accessing an extension to a local nature area so I stopped to have a quick look. It was a lovely sunny day and I was delighted to find a new hidden pond teeming with darter dragonflies and surrounded by lovely flowers. The Darters were mating and egg-laying, despite it being autumn so I expect there will be even more next year.
